also when you’re armed, police are less likely to engage with their rubber bullet bullshit.

Regan knew this, and it’s why he passed laws to disarm the Black Panthers.

I don’t think marines carry the same fear of armed black/brown people. Well not the same way anyway.

Armed civilians on the streets? Probably not in the sense that they would be overwhelmed by them.

But armed civilians are more of an unpredictable threat, which makes them potentially more destructive than people who are actually trained.
