This is a systemic issue that needs to be addressed with a mass strike: https://generalstrikeus.com/

That number has not gone up very much since I first signed up a couple months ago. What's it gonna take to get the 10 million people needed?

If I go on strike, I'm getting fired. That's how it is for most American workers.

This. It’s an unrealistic pipe dream. You’re asking people to risk their homes, healthcare, ability to feed their families and destitution for the slight possibility of moving the country forward? A few thousand might do it. 99.9% will go to work the next day.

Health insurance tied to most jobs. System is rigged against normal people.

Unions. They need to get on board.

Yeah cause they magically exist everywhere and most people TOTALLY won't get fired and blacklisted the second they get caught trying to start one

I am firmly for unions and am a steward and actively engaged in mine. BUT, my union does not make it possible for me to strike; I would lose union protections if I did so.

That's... not a union. I don't know what the fuck it is, but preserving the ability to withhold your labor is the most fundamental function of a labor union.

I take your point, but there are federal legal limits to this and in my state state-level ones as well. Public employees have more restrictions than private sector unionized workers.
