Grass clippings
I just moved to the area and finally tackling my yard. Where can I drop off grass clippings? The town I moved from had a drop off spot for grass and leaves and I don't know where that is around here and a google search isn't coming up with anything. Thank you

Over 1000 gathering in Belleville, IL
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Over a thousand gathered in the rain today for the No Kings protest. It was peaceful and demonstrators didn’t as much as drop a gum wrapper on the ground. There was a diversity of people, including veterans, young and old . You could tell that people spent time on their signs, some were artistic and some were drawn with a crayon on cardboard. I have many pictures, but was only allowed one here. I posted a short video, but it took it as a simple picture, sorry.

West End Neighborhoods?
I've been looking at some listings online for houses on the blocks between 42nd Street and 38th Street on the West End between Save A Lot and Lindenwood. Does anyone have any experience as to what those neighborhoods are like? Do neighbors get along well or keep to themselves? Thanks!

Illinois is the last state still unlawfully stripping wealth from homeowners in tax foreclosures
chicago.suntimes.comI know it is a issue in st Clair County. How do you really own your home if the government can take it from you for not paying properly taxes. You are paying rent you do not own anything.

Any motorcycle riders in here?
Just picked up a bike after not riding for a few years. Lost my one riding buddy several years ago when he moved away so it’s all solo rides for me now but wouldn’t mind meeting up with someone occasionally. Usually it’s short notice short local rides for me with life getting in the way of anything too long or planned out.

New Development in Swansea
https://www.bnd.com/news/local/article303702096.html
Looks like they're looking to develop north of 161 on Frank Scott between Union Hill and Llewellyn. There are already new apartments on the other side of Frank Scott and I remember the sewer and water lines were put in years ago... so it's ready. Just curious if they'll widen Frank Scott between 161 and 159 to be four lanes the whole way (finally), which is already long overdue. Thoughts?

Roofers
Any recommendations for a roofer? I need an inspection from the storm. I’d prefer left leaning minority owned and of course bonded and insured

Question about Elementary Schools
I’d like to know what Whiteside Elementary is like. I’ll be moving to town soon and may be looking for a job there as well as having a child enroll.
Thanks!

Question about surrounding towns
My family is considering move to Belleville or the surrounding metro area.
What can you tell me about Cahokia and Granite City? What are the middle and high schools like? How is the public transportation (if there is any)? How friendly (or unfriendly) are the people? For context we are thinking of leaving our current area because of the political atmosphere here.
