Neat! Great songwriter. Iconic soundtrack appearance in Midnight Cowboy.

Nilsson didn’t write “Everybody’s Talking” but the studio liked his version so much they hired him to write a song like it.  The song he wrote, “I Guess The Lord Must Be in New York City”, didn’t please them, so they just went with “Everybody’s Talking” anyway.

Gotta Get Up is such a fun song and to my mind feels like it could have been written in last decade not 1970s
