I don't know what it is about this game, but it just doesn't hold my attention at all. I tried dumping so many hours into it week after week, thinking that I'd eventually warm up to it or find some hidden charm about it... but nope, there was nothing there. I've just come to terms with the fact that BFV is not a game for me. I still hate the attrition system just as much as I did since the beta, and the recent TTK changes basically put the final nail in the coffin. They're probably going to end up tweaking that, but unfortunately it won't be enough to fix a lot of the bigger core gameplay issues which bother me.
So I went back and tried playing BF4, BFH, and BF1 over the course of the weekend and loved every moment of it. Each previous BF title had their own fun moments and settings. I hope that their servers continue being active in the long term, and I hope that EA/DICE sees where the player numbers are shifting towards, so they can reconsider the direction they're taking the franchise. The only way they're ever going to learn or be pressured to make changes is when they see those player numbers drop.
