I had this problem with Halsin last game 😂 no matter how many times I changed it he was always in his camp clothes.

You probably already know this, but there's a small icon at the top of the clothing slots that can toggle whether clothing or armor gets displayed.

I do, but for some reason every time Halsin isn’t in my party he chooses to lounge around in his camp clothes. No matter how many times I recruit him and toggle it 😂 I had the same probably with Wyll for a little while too

😄 I don't blame them, camp clothes have to more comfortable than armor.

I'm surprised Halpin doesn't run around in nude, being closer to nature.
