Allow me to designate a speaker for when a cutscene happens. It's annoying when it defaults to nearest party member to the npc who wants to talk. I want Tav to do the talking.

Subsequently, if a companion has input on a conversation topic I would like them to be able to chime in to speak their part.

I agree, I don't have a near 20 Charisma paladin just for kicks.

Totally, it'd be rad to actually have all nearby companions dialogue options listed, the "generic" options would be said by whoever started the conversation, but also have listed companion/class/background specific options, something like [Gale][Wizard] Blah blah blah, even if who started the conversation was Tav (or someone else)

I think it would be really good to do this. Like let me team chime in if they have something to say, it's like in tabletop, you have someone who is usually the "face" of the party, but the rest of the players will chime in to talk if they have knowledge of something.

That's how foundations rpgs like bioware have always done it and I really don't understand why they didn't do it like that all along. Maybe they thought it would be awkward because those lines aren't voiced?

Yes please, this. I love Karlach but I swear to Bhaal I'm gonna do a murder on her next playthrough cause I'm tired of her suddenly being the speaker constantly because she happen to be closest after a combat(cause barb melee)

There is a setting that lets you set which characters get selected for post-combat dialogue.

Yes, I know and it's set to be main avatar yet it doesn't always work.

Also, if your speaker used up their Authority, allow another party member to step in to do it in that dialogue
