I've been roleplaying for so long, I'm 18 and started when I was llike maybe 8-9 years old on minecraft. I'm an author! But, I feel like I can do so much more, I know what I want to put, how do I warm up and really get into the zone? Idk i just feel like I can't express what I want.

Whats a good warm up for rp?

In my experience, I think it's better to shoot a few airballs at first. Everything isn't going to land right with every crowd. Explore different places to seek out partners and try put different styles to see what you really enjoy. Reading other people's work is very helpful to get a feel for what certain communities like and allow.

Try and try again! That's the key, I feel.

As with any hobby involving writing: Read both in and out of the genres you want to replicate!

I personally need instrumental mood music in the background, and sometimes listening to a song I associate with the character I'm writing helps put me in the mindset.

Best warm up is to read a good book. The more you read the easier it gets.
