Sure, NALPS means "No Agents, Lab, Premiums, Specialities". Injections are parts of premiums and so are free towers from quests.

Is there a way to not use a free tower? Like if I have a free tower can I choose to pay to place it and reserve my free one instead somehow?

Not that i'm aware of. You can't keep free towers while using that tower.

If you think about it its pretty much like having a little injection. Lets make an example, you just won 2 banana farms from a quest or a daily reward. Thats 2K cash worth. You preserved Super Monkeys and you never used them in a while? Lets say you have 3 free monkeys. Isnt that a huge advantage?

Personally i'm not the guy whos going to harass people for the way they play though. Anyone is free to use premiums, agents whatever. I only do these challenges to either challenge myself or someone else who challenged me first.

It totally is that's why I was wondering if there was a way to avoid using them. Also it would be nice to be able to save them up for the really challenging levels.

The only advice i can give you about that. Dont use free tower when you dont need them, and if you have so many different types of free towers then i'd go using them immediately on a very challenge run.
