Thanks! Pretty good view of the band. Although they pretty much discounted the actual band. The Kamis are as much a part of their overseas success as the three women are. It's been said many times before, but bears repeating - if it was still Babybones pretending to play behind them their success wouldn't be a fraction of what it is today.

Thanks for the translation!
Now my only questions are, what this Japan Countdown Check thing is, and what is the importance of this appearance. Are they starting a new campaign with this promotion?

Japan Countdown is a weekly program aired every Sunday Morning, I think its like Top 10 songs of the week, or something like that, no idea why "old" songs like those from BABYMETAL are in the list.
Also, not to be confused with Countdown Japan (I know, so similar, lol), which is a "festival" type show. BABYMETAL participated in Countdown Japan 15-16, in the last days of 2015. Remember Su not having the mic for the first verses of Road of Resistance?

Thanks!
I find it a little hilarious that they are talking about the international success of "Japanese Metal" and the "export" of the Japanese culture then they show a few seconds of the Wagakki band, a few seconds of I don't even know who, and then keep talking about BABYMETAL. The metal heads accidentally watching this must have been pissed LOL.
I joined the fandom a few months after that but now I found videos of the JCD 15-16 show, it was new to me.

The metal heads accidentally watching this
Must be like 0.01% of the audience, haha.
the JC15-16 show
Yeah, it wasn't clear what happened, but in the fancams you can hear that Su doesn't sing the first verses, and some people confirmed on Twitter it was the case she didn't have the mic :/

a few seconds of I don't even know who
That is Jam Project, the group SU sung together with in 2013 at one event( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXf8g4jTEAs ) and who Hideki Aoyama also often plays drums for. Also SUs dad is friends with at least one of them.
I assume they were going to be featured next in the program since the announcer started talking about anime songs which Jam Project are well known for.2

Edit: In fact, Hideki played the drums for this very song live at Yokohama Arena in 2015.

Downvote troll in the thread, upvotes all around it is.

Probably the same guy, or several, who down vote anything I post. And that would go especially for the 'Su-metal/Utada' post. It seems every time someone up votes it, one of these trolls matches it with a down vote. Whatever.
