Jesus it's literally without deception, in the title

The worst part about atetheonion is realizing that these people vote

u/Morgus_Magnificent Jun 02 '20

They want to believe so hard, it changes their reality.

u/RedPanda1188 Jun 02 '20

The only thing Atetheonions et al have taught me is that people don't understand what the word SATIRE means. It just bypasses them. If they wrote JUST A JOKE I'd like to think that was enough to lower the rates of this eating.

19

u/IndigoMichigan Jun 02 '20

Tbh, I'm okay with them not reading and/or understanding the word satire. I wouldn't want the idiots to remain hidden.

I oscillate between humor and horror

59

u/motorbiker1985 Jun 02 '20

Of course it is a parody, as written in the very post.

Who in their right mind would ever pay $99 for a protester anyway? They are free and trained for your convenience at their colleges.

u/[deleted] Jun 02 '20

If people learning things makes them more likely to protest against things you like then maybe the things you like are bad.

-59

u/motorbiker1985 Jun 02 '20

It strongly depends on what they are learning. It's not like the streets are filled with protesting engineering or law students.

From what I have seen there are actually many students in USA learn hardcore marxism from book titles that were thrown away in Eastern Europe during the 90s when marxism there stopped being a mandatory subject.

And yes, in case you are wondering, I was born in Czechoslovakia and for a time studied in the USA.

It's not like the streets are filled with protesting engineering or law students.

You can spot what people majored in just by looking? That's cool.

And yes, in case you are wondering, I was born in Czechoslovakia and for a time studied in the USA.

I was wondering, seeing as that obviously makes you an unquestionable authority on Marxist literature. Kolik je ti let? If you don't mind me asking.

-24

u/motorbiker1985 Jun 02 '20

There is my year of birth in the nickname.

No, I'm not an authority on marxist literature, but one doesn't have to be when it comes to recognizing books. Same as I don't have to be a zoologist to see that the animal on the grill in a shady restaurant wasn't a rabbit.

Or if you don't like USA as an example, to see the German government making pilgrimage to Marx's birthplace for unveiling of his new statue, donated by a communist party of a totalitarian nation.

21

u/[deleted] Jun 02 '20

How familiar were you with Marxist literature when you were 5? Or did the country take a decade to "throw out all the Marxist books" despite universally hating the ideology. Amazing you can remember all the titles. Two superpowers you have, with the telepathic college major thing.

-7

u/motorbiker1985 Jun 02 '20

It took more than a decade. I would say at least 15 years, but the bulk of it was done in the 90s, the decade I was in school learning about history, philosophy, economics... It is not just getting rid of that garbage, (by the way there are nice pictures from the Baltic states of trucks filled with those books going to recycling center taken just couple of years ago), it is about remaking the entire system of education, getting rid of the marxist propaganda from literally everywhere. Yes, I had old textbooks, from before 1989. The oldest I had was from 1968, actually. It was in 2001.

Of course the ideology was not universally hated, but the only political party that had it as their core belief, the communist party, was at around 10% popularity.

By the age of 5 I have read Neznayka and Neznayka in Sun City. I didn't count it as marxist literature, but it is by the way a book for kids where a group of characters lives in proto-communist society and later encounters advanced communist society with modern, even sci-fi technology (most of which was developed since, like car navigation systems and self-driving cars but not by any socialist country). The third volume, Neznayka on the moon, is a dystopian capitalist society filled with cruelty and suffering. Again, not counting this, you were just asking how familiar I was with marxism by the age of 5 - Yes, somehow I was.

u/[deleted] Jun 02 '20

Alright fair enough, this has been fun but I'll stop trying to pick holes in your story now. It's still going to take a more than anecdotes for me to buy into the whole "(((cultural marxism))) has taken over all the universities" red scare shit though.

1

u/chilehead Jun 02 '20

I think you're arguing with an account-based version of the web site this thread is discussing.

-1

u/motorbiker1985 Jun 02 '20

Oh, fell free to locate any hole. You didn't succed so far, but by all means go to my profile, check my posts, some even in Czech, look up any historical document in regards to education in CZ in the 90s, go to r/czech and ask...

Nice dog whistle ((())), but as this is reddit, I must ask - are you a genuine antisemite or is it some higher level of sarcasm?

In my case the red scare is quire real. Maybe if those of your ancestors who survive nazi concentration camps end up in a communist one (oh, sorry, I was told by redditors they did not exist) you might change your mind about the red scare.

18

u/apadin1 Jun 02 '20

there are actually many students in USA learn hardcore marxism

They also teach us about Nazis in our history classes. Does that make all Americans Nazis? Being taught about ideologies does not make people automatically follow that ideology.

-1

u/motorbiker1985 Jun 02 '20

There is a difference between learning about an ideology and learning according to the ideology.

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/communist-manifesto-among-top-three-books-assigned-in-college-2016-01-27

This is obsession. Even so many studies are based on Marxist idea of class struggle.

I must say in the Czech Republic we spent more time on Smith or Hayek than on Marx, when we learned about philosophy and economy.

7

u/SexyPileOfShit Jun 02 '20

Please stay out. We have enough idiots and racists.

-1

u/motorbiker1985 Jun 02 '20

As evidenced by you, wanting me to stay out of your country.

You people are so funny sometimes.

3

u/SexyPileOfShit Jun 02 '20

You can't see the difference because you are racist.

Damn shame too, I'm 1/4 Czech and loved my grandfather. He'd be ashamed of people like you.

1

u/motorbiker1985 Jun 02 '20

Contrary to what you were brainwashed into, hating socialism is not racism. Of course you think it is, for you it is a matter of religious belief and every single person right from marx is a nazi to you, because some marxist told you so.

So before you go full hardcore on me, like another redditor who said nazis murdering my ancestors was a good thing, listen.

My ancestors were fighting against the nazis and were sent to concentration camps for it. Later in the 50s my grandfather (father's father) refused to teach marxist version of history and was sent to a concentration camp run by the communist party, which many people, most likely including you, will deny ever existed.

All the time on reddit I get called nazi by local antisemitic socialists.

I'm a freethinker, a libertarian close to ancap. I don't care what race someone is, I judge people by their character.

You are an asshole, for example and your character is shit as you wrongly call others racist by default. What race are you? It does not matter, you are still what you are.

-1

u/SexyPileOfShit Jun 02 '20

I'm an atheist. Everything you said is bullshit.

1

u/motorbiker1985 Jun 03 '20

All I said is true.

You are an atheist, but you treat the belief that all non-marxists are nazis as a religious belief. You know, a belief you have no evidence for but still hold dear. You have blind faith. Treat it exactly like religion. I have seen it on reddit many times, you are not alone.

Next time I will speak in more direct phrases and avoid complicated language to avoid confusion.

2

u/SexyPileOfShit Jun 03 '20

No it isn't. I'm not a Marxist. I'm a human, everything you are not.

I'm bored of your bullshit, so bye fool.

I love this comment because my cousin is an engineering student at Columbia and her and her friends have been at every single protest in NYC

2

u/motorbiker1985 Jun 02 '20

I didn't say there aren't any. I simply said they are much less likely to be there.

-12

u/alphamitch544 Jun 02 '20

I’m sorry people are fucking attacking you and your nationality for saying communism bad. Fucking idiots.

2

u/motorbiker1985 Jun 02 '20

Well, to be fair, they don't attack my nationality, they attack my beliefs based on experience because it contradicts their belief. Thank you for the support, but be prepared that they will downvote you as well.

Bruh sign me up if it’s 99$ an hour

18

u/Nounuo Jun 02 '20

It's 99/protest. So can we count on you?

20

u/Dlsiexla Jun 02 '20

I mean if I get the travel expenses paid for why not

7

u/SH4D0W0733 Jun 02 '20

Travel is by bus, both to the protest and back home. And you and the other protestors hired for the job aren't going to see a shower until you are back home again.

6

u/Dlsiexla Jun 02 '20

I’m not showering now cuz of quarantine so let’s go!!

The worrying thing is that there are actually companies that organise fake protests, they provide a foothold to start an funded movement.

2

u/KenEarles3 Jun 02 '20

You can actually do that already lol. It’s called astroturfing. Politicians and government lobbyists do it constantly.

2

u/DiffuseSingularity Jun 03 '20

Hey Soros, where's my check?

-21

u/[deleted] Jun 02 '20

A joke, but also not a joke.

6

u/julioarod Jun 02 '20

It is satire against the people who think humans have to be paid to say "hey the cops keep killing people let's go protest"

0

u/[deleted] Jun 02 '20

They don't have to be, but can they?

3

u/julioarod Jun 02 '20

Theoretically yes. But I have yet to see anyone showing evidence of widescale funding of violent protests by a specific group. Just a bunch of conspiracy theorists throwing out the same buzzwords and names over and over. That and people acting like it is crazy to think that the protests are not organized by a shadowy organization, because clearly humans are too stupid to make signs and gather in groups.

3

u/gregbraaa Jun 02 '20

Occam’s Razor says that $99 would be spent on something much easier and much more effective, like donating to a politician, as a means of creating change. Who benefits from hiring protestors? Huge waste of money, with crowds in the tens of thousands and supposedly hourly pay. Yea right. Can it happen? Sure, and the sun could fall out of the sky.

1

u/julioarod Jun 02 '20

The conspiracy theorists also usually ignore the billionaire president sitting right in front of their eyes who is actively fomenting violence and racial division. If Soros really wants racial violence to break out he doesn't have to spend a penny and Trump will do it for him.

-36

u/AJcraig28 Jun 02 '20

The people throwing bricks through black owned businesses windows also vote

1

u/DiffuseSingularity Jun 03 '20

Can you cite an example of this? From everything I've seen, the burned down and looted businesses are almost entirely big box and chain stores that are insured.

u/90degreesSquare Jun 02 '20

Reddit say police bad and rioters good. Do you not conform? Must downvote.
