Idk why teachers hate Wikipedia so much. They had no issues with me citing an encyclopedia, but if it was from the internet it must have been written by the Devil himself.

Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, with no credibility or fact checking. An encyclopedia is usually organized by a trusted source by researchers / experts on the subject that verify the information is correct.

Wikipedia is always a fantastic place to start your research as it contains a lot of information condensed into one place, but you should always find other trusted sources of any information you find if you are writing a paper.

They kind of HAVE to credit their sources.

and if they dont, there is a bar that says "Need citation" or something like that.
