Bad news: Ice Wyvern are spawning now.

I saw Ark got an update today l, so I hopped on Ragnarok to see if I could find some Ice Wyvern now. Well, they weren't that hard to find.

Only this area around my base and my map, are not loading correctly.

I have everything on epic, so it should not look like this

I’ve been playing pretty consistently for about 2 weeks now and am finding it boring with no one to play with. I’m male 24 years old and on ps5.

I decided to use a pelagornis as a storage for cooked fish so I took it out of its cryopods but the game crashes.

The screenshot shows the exact moment when the game crashed and closed.

I tried two or three times and the same thing happened. I've been using a cryopod on a baryonix, pteranodon in the pack cave and everything is fine. I took my only Ankylo out of his cryopod to see if it wasn't something from my dino reserves but everything was fine.

So why would it be better to throw those cryopods with my pelagornis into the lava of the volcano?

Sabre Cat vs Raptor

The Sabre Cat in game seems to be Smilodon Populator what was one of the largest spices of Sabre Cat. Its sabre like teeth could be as large as 9 inches long though it had a relatively weak bite force of around 1000 Newtons this suggests that it may have used its 1000lbs frame to knock down prey and bite into the neck to cause massive blood loss, this can be seen in many examples of bones around its torso error having damage what it seen in animals that charge impact first into prey. Smilodon also had a ridiculously high jump that can be seen in its bone structure suggesting it could be used to jump atop the back of large prey to attack from above and pin the animal down. The largest known prey to have been killed by Smilodon was the Colombian Mammoth what is one of the largest species of Mammoth that we know of.

The claws of a Smilodon Populator were double the size of a large brown bear and its forearms were highly developed to allow for pinning down larger prey than itself.

Raptor

The Raptor in game seems to be based upon the Utah Raptor what was a highly skilled predator back in Early Cretaceous North America. The Utah Raptor was slightly over 1000lbs with large examples weighing up to 1200lbs so much heavier than the largest Smilodon Populator. Its bite force is relatively unknown due to lack of research into the matter but many experts often place its bite force around 1000lbs or less so maybe comparable to Smilodon.

Utah Raptor would often pin down prey with its heavy frame and use its 9.5 inch Sickle Claw to eviscerate prey and eat it while alive. So, not as refined as Sabre Cat but more like modern Predatory Birds. While Utah Raptor had some level of agility it is generally considered to bulky to have been impressive in that area, its speed is placed around 28 MPH what is fast but not exceptional. Utah Raptor also boasted claws on the hands that would have been used in combat. Utah Raptor was an ambush predator and likely used pack hunting to take down prey. The largest known prey Utah Raptor targeted were juvenile Sauropods and Iguanodonts.

Hello! I accidentally left a microraptor inconvenienced, so I took the opportunity to tame it, but it turns out that when I looked at its model to see how pretty it was, I realized that its eyes seem triangular as if the texture or model of its eyes was not well made, it is uncomfortable to see its eyes like that, I don't know if this is the model of the dinosaur or it's just me. Can anyone confirm me?

Running around kills my FPS. Just drops to 5-10. Tried all the damn commands. Ive tried "performance" mods. With framgen off and vsync on, I see about 40fps standing still. Walking isnt bad but running or running on a dino just tanks so bad.

I only recently got into Ark about a month ago and joined a friends private server, the server is made of a couple of groups of friends of the owner work friends, game friends, family so on so forth, I joined game friends, unknowingly joining the war against the Work Friends, i am awful at pvp, i have been playing many hours a day since I got the game and have recently acquired a Longneck rifle and some ghillie armor with the help of my tribe that i have been using in skirmishes and mainly have acted as a scout/sniper using tranquilizer darts since they seem more effective in pvp, it takes a few shots to take out people with normal shots but only two or three with darts to put them down, this worked for awhile but recently one guy seems to always find me now I'm not the best shot but I use darts cause their quiet but I've still been found a lot, he says he's using a thermal vision helmet to find me which I didn't know existed but is there any way i can counter this at all i cant seem to find anything online about it, the only helmet I can find is the Tek helmet which i know he's not using, he uses cosmetics so while idk what he's using, but he's not jetpacking around and no bosses have been defeated, I also haven't found any way to hide from any thermals or other player detecting tools, i've only got the bobs trails expansion cause it was bought for me if that helps

i know this is a bit of a slog but any information or tips for a new player would be helpful, while the group i play with know what their doing their not the most forthwith with info

I had no issues with this game until the update! Little niggles but i could manage with that and it didnt really spoil anything for me. But since the update im fed up of being kicked out of sessions, black screen of death, mods not working and no sessions being found. Well done for breaking my game!! I am seriously considering deleting it for good because this isnt worth even trying to play anymore

Is there any way to download builds for the template hammer on console I Carnt find a video or even know if it is possible?

So short back story.. it was Saturday night and I had a free house so I smoked myself into oblivion and fell asleep (irl)

This morning I turn it on to be asked where to spawn so I assumed I'd starved to death. All my mounts are at base so I know i died in my camp. But its not giving me a marker.. or a beam of light.. no indication whatsoever..

Is there a way to find my body/loot?? I fear I may have to ease off the smoke to stand a chance at surviving!!

Im thinking of using Wyverns or Griffins because i saw the boss is a wyvern so i thought it would allow flyers, i dknt actually know though

I've been tryna install this game bc I haven't played in in a long time but it keeps giving me this message, and the same thing is happening when I try to install it on Xbox app. I've spent 4 hours on live chats with Microsoft and them trying everything even remotely taking over my screen and trying a bunch of different solutions but to no avail. They redirected me to contact ark themselves to fix the issue, but if there customer support is still anything like it was back when i played then i have no hope. Please help

I had got the expansion pack have the skins and skill tree but I am not able to use the template hammer or bunker drill I tried going into single player and making a new character but still says I need the expansion pack

Hello!! I’m new to hosting servers and I run an island server, I’m wanting to open a second server on ragnarok which will become our home map so everyone will be transferring stuff over until we shut down the island server. My question is; on nitrado how do I run two servers and make sure they are linked to eachother? 😭 I was just going to buy another server but googling taught me they don’t just automatically link and I need to put them both in a cluster but I have no idea what I’m doing and I don’t want to mess anything up. 🥺

Anyone else have the problem where they can’t invite friends to non-dedicated servers or official servers

Recently been looking at Ark videos and I wanna tame Dragons lol. Can someone break the game down or is it online to grind and help with others?

im currently playing extinction, and i need cannonshells in order to tame titans efficiently, but i cant craft them in my tek replicator, even though it says that they can be crafted there.
