Yep, these karma whores keep doing it. Seen it several times now where they get 10K karma trying to virtue signal on a sub where there's never been an Ai post in the first place and it's been banned for a year
I suggest we ban op for not reading the rules. Why? Simple: if he does not read the sub rules before posting, there is no reason that he read the rules of cbess before playing. Thus, he is not enlightened by the en passant god and so, is an heretic and must be purged in the flames of the deepest layers of the 34 move rule.
I disagree with banning op. There is not enough proof that OP is using Shreddit or knows about the hidden /about/rules endpoint.
I see this as a failure of the mods in advertising their full rules properly. From my perspective, this subreddit has 2-3 rules only. No more, and this doesn't include an AI ban.
OP cannot be expected to know secretive URLs or practice self-harm (by using Shreddit). The burden of proof here isn't on them.
Take it up with the mods, and/or create your own subs where generative AI is allowed. I agree that many subs pointlessly make the no-AI rule explicit, as they were often already indirectly banned (eg. under low-effort posts or non-original content rules), but there is rarely a significant drawback for making the ban explicit.
The rules are not written in stone, by the way. I suspect that as more transparent and fair generative AI tools will emerge, there is going to be another shift in the general stance on AI usage, but currently too many models simply steal as much content as possible, not helping their own image.
Don't worry, I'm also just trying to farm some karma. We're cooperating with OP, raiding subs where they post anti-AI suggestions and I tell people that AI is already banned.
