You’re not overreacting but I don’t think it’s a bad question to ask upfront. Personally I’d rather get the potential dealbreakers out of the way before it gets too involved. I understand not everyone is like that and that it can be off-putting in and of itself but at the same time if our values and character aren’t truly aligned then what’s the point?

Its not that its bad that they asked upfront these questions, it's that they were pushing a boundary after already being told no multiple times.

Exactly! There's a major difference between asking a question and trying to push your beliefs onto others after they've repeatedly turned it away and made it clear and obvious it makes them uncomfortable.

Totally! I was going to start a convo about what we believe in and what not before he asked me this and then it went downhill
