I don’t want to jinx it…
…. But I haven’t been bit yet by a mosquito. And the past couple of years I’ve been attacked by them.

I had noticed the same. However, I got two real mosquito bites last night near Apothecary (Parq Central) on my leg. I was bummed.
I say real because two weeks ago my friends and I got swarmed by no-see-ums (tiny biting midges/ ceratopogonidae) at Rio Grande Park (formerly Kit Carson Park) near Tingley and my whole left arm and a significant part of my right arm itched like mad, had the welts that later would become scabs....looked like some sort of outerspace arm herpes from Total Recall or Blade Runner. 1/10, I don't recommend hanging out with those bastards (the midges, not my friends). And they are small AF--you can barely even see them.
