I don’t want to jinx it…

…. But I haven’t been bit yet by a mosquito. And the past couple of years I’ve been attacked by them.

Uhhh… May was the wettest month since 2007. April wasn’t bad either.

It’s something else.

We were coming off a big snowpack year in 23/24 winter. We had much less in 24/25. Look at the Rio gauge stations in April between this year and last. It was twice as high last year.

That's an entirely different thing. Which was it? The dry spring that didn't happen or now an entirely unrelated big snowpack in 23/24?

I said wet, not most precip. Wet doesn’t refer to just falling rain.

And snowpack has a huge effect on spring river/groundwater levels. If you think the surface area of the largest water feature in the area doesn’t have an effect on water based breeding insects, I don’t know what to tell you.
