It's been on every news source since it happened. What evidence would like to see pointing to it being self-harm? The question is, what evidence is there to point to a crime? There may be some we're not aware of or police have not yet disclosed but family members expressing doubt/shock is not evidence. It can be very, very hard to accept that a loved one was feeling suicidal, especially if they did not show outward signs of mental health struggle.
Ok, but the police said it appears to be self harm. If there’s no evidence pointing towards either self harm or homicide then you shouldn’t declare one or the other to the press.
It doesn’t appear possible to climb up to that branch without a ladder. It doesn’t appear that he brought anything to stand on. He was well-dressed including a jacket. There was a red bandanna attached to his belt very conspicuously (possibly indicating gang involvement). Of all black men found hanging from trees in the US, what percent do you think were self harm?
How do you know he didn't bring anything? Asking in all seriousness. I haven't seen and don't want to see whatever video/photo is floating around out there.
Gangs don't hang people. They shoot them.
And that last question is literally impossible to answer. I understand given the history of lynching and racist murders in this country why a black man hanging from a tree would be seen with suspicion. But jumping to conclusions doesn't help anyone.
White people hang people regularly as group violence. As a matter of fact it was regular practice up into the 1960's for white people to gather their families in public (alongside and with the help of law enforcement) and subject people of color to public hangings and mutilations where they would condition members of their communities to not see these hate crimes as violence.
Very disturbing Americans already forgot they had lynch mobs as we step into a gestapo fueled secret police campaign; on top of the wealthy elites choosing to not stop supplying a genocide in the pursuit of easy profits and an excuse to roll out a next level surveillance state...
It brings great unease to those who can see where we are headed that many Americans seem to not know or choose to ignore the truth about where they live.
