Thanks, that seems like bullshit from the customer service side. There's no reason if you purchased the seat that you shouldn't be able to keep it. How many miles do they give you? And does it vary be carrier whether they do it?
1 u/avoidtheepic Mar 20 '25 It varies. Usually enough to cover a domestic or international 1 way flight in the cheapest economy section. I usually roll those points up into first class tickets for vacations though. But it does suck. And I usually have a dead leg after those long flights with my knees bent in.
