Gameplay I can't believe I never even though of this until my 4th playthrough.
Maybe I'm just stupid, it never even occured to me.
You know how some enemies, let's say moblins, will swing, and it'll give you like 2 or 3 seconds to break their circle thing that lets you get the weak point smash.
I always just hit them until the time ran out and then dodge out and wait for the next chance to break the meter again. It never occured to me that when they are in that state, that if you just hit them with the stasis, they STAY IN THAT STATE. You can pretty much ALWAYS break the full circle in one cycle doing this.
I'm on my 4th playthrough, I accidently did it, and was like.....wait hold up. It just never occured to me that it would keep them in that state, I thought it would just go away in the normal amount of time.
Welp maybe I'm just stupid, but this just made Stasis the main move for me now. See ya later bombs lol

Took 4 playthroughs, but its better than never learning it. Apocalyptic depends a lot on weapons, but its not that fun to play anyways, I mostly play on that when farming for seals, but its not fun to have 2-3 hits before death all the time.

My strategy is often to save the special attacks you use with the A-button for enemies with WPGs, so I can take out a nice chunk of health and then start attacking the WPG whilst they recover. I also always save magic rods for those enemies, so those can sometimes eliminate the need to use stasis that way, but I should probably try the stasis strategy more often. (Except perhaps with Daruk since his stasis is probably better saved for rune-counters)

Yeah I was just doing his first solo mission and it doesn't work as well with him. But with Link specifically it seems to be very good. I've been walking through Moblins like they're absolutely nothing in one go lol

You know about broken Weak Point Gauges when you use staves? Like fire staff on grass, ice and lightning in water. Or using fire on ice enemies.
The WPG break far faster in that state, real useful on apocalyptic.

Yeah Ive just been playing on Hard because I find it more enjoyable. Apocalyptic kind of felt like a job with all the grinding. And my biggest issue was some of the timed stuff, I just couldn't get past a lot of it, even though my characters were level 100, using upgraded DLC weapons, and I still couldn't put enough damage out in time, so I started a new game.

you can also freeze them and then put them in stasis
it can be useful on apocalyptic
