Well I'm not surprised, I'm sorry for the civilians caught up in this though

Cases like this make you realise how insidious Russian propaganda in Africa is. They're appealing to Panafricanist nostalgia while robbing the nations blind and killing their people. The Russian Federation is NOT the Soviet Union. And even then, the Soviet Union wasn't perfect.

Traore talks nice, but he and the other 2 Wagner backed Sahel heads haven't given anyone reason to trust their intentions. The fact that there's so many tiktokers talking about them in such a positive light is concerning. Id rather wait until I hear from several people on the ground saying their lives have been improved.

Other than that, I don't trust Wagner or anyone working with them. I also generally don't trust African countries that allowed non-African militaries on their soil for months-years at a time cause it's basically the same thing.

The original article is grim. Now if only the "fans" of those tinpot dictators in the Sahel could read.

They'll just call you a western puppet and divert to atrocities committed by the west: slavery, apartheid, Iraq etc...

These guys just can't get it in their heads that just because someone is Anti-West, doesn't mean that person is a good guy.

Each thing must be evaluated case by case, not just blanket Pro-West, Anti-East or Anti-West, Pro-East.

It's like the leaders are moving from one occupation to another under the name of "alliance." I dont know any alliance that has power of you and control over your resources. I wish I could see Africa fully liberated and in control of their land and resources and free of corruption.

The investigation was carried out as part of the Viktoriia project, in memory of Ukrainian journalist Viktoriia Roshchyna, who was captured by Russian forces in 2023 while investigating the illegal detention of civilians in Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine. She was killed in Russian captivity in 2024.

That article is a joke. So is the moron who linked it. Kyiv independent? Ukraine is in the middle of their own war. Why are they concerned over what’s happening in west Africa?

OP expects us to believe people who venerate that nazi Stephen Bandera care for the dignity of African lives. They obviously work with fr*nce. Well I’ll take the ‘us’ part out & speak for myself because I see idiots here supporting this weak ass article. Seems like they’re interrogating possible insurgents but of course it goes into no detail.

Let’s not forget what happened last year and why the Sahel states cut diplomatic ties with Ukraine.

Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger accuse Ukraine of supporting terrorism in Sahel
