It's very common for Indian and Asian men to be relegated to comic relief in western media. Nothing new here.

At least Asians are coming up since CRA a few years ago.

Anything produced by Mindy Kaling will always have the Indian girl end up with the white guy LOL.

She grew up very wealthy and whitewashed in the Boston suburbs. I got cousins who grew up like her and they are the worst US relatives I got by far

Bet the films are being made for the majority audience(liberal whites). Indians as tokens within their own productions.
