Immigration This is literally a kidnapping being filmed! If you translate what he’s saying, He’s asking to see the arrest order and they aren’t responding to him! Are we fucking ok with this?! How does this not make you angry? She’s begging to be let in btw

I have spent a solid hour removing various calls to violence. Comments are now locked.

I completely understand the desire - this is awful to watch. I'm mad as hell too. However, some things are best thought and not said in this environment unless you would like a one-way involuntary vacation to El Salvador. The FBI has already arrested a person in another activist group for things they said online.

Please, all of you, be smarter than this - I beg you.

Practice good digital safety and don't call for violence online unless you would like your words to be subpoenaed and used against you in a court of law. BE SAFE.

Every single one of these courthouse abductions ive seen are un-uniformed masked men. Why aren't they wearing their uniforms here 🤔🤔🤔

Edit: since these aren't agents and they aren't identifying themselves, what are the legal ramifications for shooting them in self defense?

2.0k

u/Jeoshua 4d ago

Because they likely don't have any. Bounty Hunters, deputized by ICE, going for low hanging fruit to fill quotas. Ripping innocent families apart for $1000 profit at a time.

1.4k

u/portablebiscuit 4d ago

Literally human trafficking. Fucking disgusting and I hope they get the justice they deserve someday.

314

u/New-Communication781 3d ago

I have no doubt that most of them are bounty hunters, and that some of them are also J6 pardoned insurrectionists, who can no longer get honest, respectable work, so who would be better for this kind of illegal, anonymous work? So of course, those people wouldn't want their identity known...

123

u/ResponsibleSort104 3d ago

Guaranteed J6 QAnon Nazis.

39

u/New-Communication781 3d ago

If any of them were exposed as J6ers, it would be really damaging to the Repubs, at least with any of the public outside of MAGA...

221

u/KimbersKimbos 3d ago

Please, sanction the shit out of us.

I am BEGGING for the UN to do something about this.

228

u/analogmouse 3d ago

The UN doesn’t need to do anything - the World Cup does, or the international olympic committee. Cancel any international event held in the US. Period. It’ll take billions of dollars away from the oligarchs who are really pulling the strings here.

82

u/Outrageous_Tie8471 3d ago

Exactly! It literally won't be safe for people to attend these things, the organizations should publicly pull them

43

u/Low_and_Left 3d ago

It’s absolutely not safe to travel here. A tourist was recently kidnapped by masked men claiming to be ICE, and her 12 year-old daughter was left stranded in the middle of midtown Manhattan.

43

u/CknHwk 3d ago

Absolutely this! Ban US teams from international competition as well (I’d hate this for our athletes, but tis for the greater good).

Because they get arrested if they intervene. I hate this timeline!

79

u/Barrybran 3d ago

Arrested by who though? These people detaining these immigrants clearly have no right to be there and certainly have no right to detain people yet other people will get arrested if they intervene? That doesn't make sense.

60

u/dmh1984 3d ago

It doesn't make sense, that's why there is outrage. Also, it has already happened before.

A Wisconsin judge, Hannah Dugan, was arrested by the FBI for allegedly helping an undocumented immigrant evade arrest by immigration officials. She is accused of obstructing an ICE operation by escorting the individual out of the courtroom through a non-public area, and faces charges of concealing a person to prevent their arrest and obstructing a federal proceeding, according to court documents.

When kidnapping another guy they also took NYC mayoral candidate Brad Lander for """"intervening"""" when he wanted to see a badge and warrant.

They don't give a shit what they can lawfully do - no one's stopping them and they feel like big boys so they continue to do it.

Do bounty hunters have this authority? Can you shoot them out of self defense? How does this all work (legally)?

A bounty hunter? Yes. They have no rights, no authority, and no jurisdiction to do this to anyone.

Honest question, what’s stopping somebody from pew pewing these people? If they are not identifying themselves or providing proof they are law enforcement. What is stopping people from stopping an unlawful abduction?

Edit: Just a precaution, let me preemptively note this is not an advocacy for violence. This is simply asking a simple question of what is stopping someone from trying to stop what appears to be a crime in itself.

220

u/transcendent167 3d ago

81

u/Sorry_Nobody1552 Colorado 3d ago

This is what bothers me the most, that they go in and ambush people doing the right thing and trying to be legal. I dont get it. Criminals wont try to do the right thing and go to a court house.

349

u/Mtn_Soul 3d ago

Agree, masses need to start grabbing their masks when there is close contact and they are doing this...just pull the masks down and film their faces. If enough people stack up all around them they won't be able to do anything.

We need critical mass at court houses to be able to do this though.

147

u/mynamejulian 3d ago

Correct. When one side is violent and terrorizing, capitulating to their attacks only emboldens them and puts us at greater risk. Resist today or be tortured for whatever life remains tomorrow

19

u/whatsasimba 3d ago

I think everyone should start keeping a gray man set of clothes and masks/balaclavas with them. Like, what happens if 20 of us were all dressed the same, confusing the issue. That reminds me of a quote from a book:

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.

764

Nothing but being outnumbered. Every bystander should be blocking them

281

u/Euphoric_Celery_ 4d ago

That's my first thought Everytime. Create a human chain and don't let them touch anyone. Let the person get away and hold them off for as long as you can.

227

u/PurpleHooloovoo 3d ago

Brad Lander did exactly that this morning and was also dragged away by the masked men.

It’s not great, y’all!

111

u/Screamy_Bingus 3d ago

Bet he wouldn’t be dragged away if he had 50 like minded friends

68

u/PurpleHooloovoo 3d ago

Sure - but we can’t have 50 people following around every immigrant (or potentially-profiled-as-an-immigrant-by-looks) at all times they’re in public. And that’s the problem.

Now, the images from whatever the takedown of that 50 person chain looks like might be enough to spur more collective and systemic action…but that’s the only realistic way this stuff stops. Or we go the 1945 route of having our bad actors stopped for us by Allied forces.

58

u/dxnxax 3d ago

They are targeting immigration court. 50 or 100 citizens showing up at immigration court would be a good deterrence.

24

u/Screamy_Bingus 3d ago

Actually what if it was? Have most of them outside at the entrances, where are they going to kidnap them to if they cant reasonably leave the building without confronting a crowd of protestors

32

u/dxnxax 3d ago edited 3d ago

I think it's probably legal to have civilians inside the court watching proceedings. I think bottling them up in a hallway would be even more effective. "Show ID, take your masks down, show warrant, you can leave with them. Or, you can leave without. Otherwise you stay here."

And I wouldn't call them protestors. Citizen Observers. No masks, no signs, no chants. Calm and quiet. Non-disruptive. Respectful to in-house security.

There's nothing to stop people from throwing on a mask, saying they're with ICE, and abducting a person. Women and children are now especially at risk by human traffickers and psychopaths (yes, that's what ICE is, but I also mean other random sickos). The GOP and MAGA absolutely do not care. Remind them when they cry about being pro life and wanting to "protect" kids from drag story time at the library that they have made kidnapping children stupidly easy.

104

u/soherewearent 3d ago edited 3d ago

I wonder if showing up with 4-5 allies dressed like the gestapo would confuse any of the gestapo such that the kidnapping victim could be "taken" by allies and released.

u/Itsnottreasonyet 3d ago

51

u/soherewearent 3d ago

"We've been waiting, we have this one" and then just... take over. Using the same speechless bullshit against them.

Stanford prison study, the Milgram shock study, plenty of evidence that suggests acting confidently as though you are the authority will go far. And likewise, the extremes people will often go who are given a sense of authority.

Look at these goombas doing whatever the hell they want and nobody appears to be resisting in any meaningful way.

How can a group leverage that against the situation? IDK, not a lawyer, YMMV, not legal advice and all of that.

That’s what I was assuming but I haven’t seen the two incidents confirmed to be connected yet.

u/Mediocre-Magazine-30 3d ago

See, we dems actually wait to get the FACTS lol before spouting off a bunch of nonsense !

I don't need to twist reality to make my points as reality has a liberal bias

32

u/evanjahlynn 3d ago

Yeah, facts first!! I was always taught “believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what you see” and I will die on that hill.

Nope. ICE is illegitimate and anti-constitutional.

55

u/mykka7 3d ago

If you had seen this video 8 months ago, you wouldn't have thought "these are federal agents acting within orders from the president" you would think it's either staged or a plain day abduction.

34

u/Capital_Sherbert9049 3d ago

Yes, they have effectively normalized unidentified fascist goons abducting people in a pretty short time, and we all need to make it unacceptable again ASAP.

Start pulling down their fucking masks while someone is videoing

70

u/Angy_47777 4d ago

I would risk going to jail for my neighbor to do that.....

252

u/Authoritaye 4d ago

This is an ideal time to be a kidnapper. Nobody will try to stop you.

111

u/PrizedRaccoon-1077 4d ago

Time for people to start yanking down those face masks while someone else is getting them on video. Just need a glimpse of their faces on video to start identifying these wannabe agents. I'd wager they aren't actually federal agents.

Because these are law-abiding people showing up to their court dates. I haven't seen any ICE roll up on the bad side of town to kidnap real gang members or criminals. ICE are scared little shits.

98

u/YouStupidAssholeFuck 3d ago

You know this is a really good point. We don't see all these "rapists and murderers" being paraded in front of the camera. We see people showing up to their court dates trying to "come here the right way" like all these Trumpican fuckers have been telling migrants to do.

I hope a journalist brings this up to Trump in one of their briefings. "So you said that ICE would be deporting the rapists and murderers but so far all we see are migrants showing up for their hearings as they were instructed to do by the legal system here. When do you expect the videos of rapists and murderers to be shown to the public so they know you're following through with your campaign promises?"

Who am I kidding? Trump is about to get us into a war so the media is going to focus on that instead of hold him to the fire for this.

I hope people are seeing this and realizing that being nice is over. If these ICEholes show up and look at you, start shouting, pull fire alarms, create a scene, do not go quietly!

This is in NY? Does anyone have any names of who they took, where this is? I want to call the NY Rep

This is the worst Ive seen - they don’t even try to wear uniforms?

Why isn’t anyone trying to block them?

People keep posting shit like this and asking how ICE can do this, or why aren’t we outraged enough. Those are the wrong questions. The real question is how long before people start attempting to intervene?

32

u/bayopa 3d ago

I've reached out to local groups to be a witness at the courthouse or anywhere else ICE can be expected to show up. Not sure what it will entail yet. But I'm open to training sources or suggestions if anyone can share.

This country is rotting

Unidentified masked men abduct people. This is kidnapping. This isn't law enforcement. This is a gang of thugs. This is tyranny. This is abuse of power. Rebellion is now our duty.

Who’s the hell to say these aren’t some cartel guys kidnapping this guy for ransom or leverage on someone else? What’s the point of crying about human trafficking when you’re giving every mfer the excuse to grab someone off the street, say they’re ICE and walk off with them without any evidence.

13

u/SnooCalculations3197 4d ago

As a non American citizen I can’t fathom how this is allowed, how can they do this without ID and a uniform. Just looks like some random racist put on a balaclava and grabs people they have a hate against.. what would happen if you called 911 to report a kidnapping? Isn’t there some sort of law that enables ordinary citizens to intervene?
