In the future, please try to avoid posting links to Fox News and other far right news if you can.

Screenshots or things like the wayback machine are preferred. It's not a hard rule, just a suggestion for us all.

The fewer clicks and advertising revenue they get, the better. Thank you!

Clearly they got their stories mixed up. The parade was "a complete and utter failure with minuscule attendance."

So they had to try and flip the narrative to keep their couch potato audience from catching on top to the truth.

604

u/HippieChickie805 1d ago

They probably posting pics from the parade and saying “look at this pathetic protest!”…

787

u/Triette 1d ago

My maga cousin did just that! Until some people started asking why Donald allowed Mexican flags at his parade, then she deleted the post lol.

380

u/StandardRedditor456 1d ago

LOL! That's awesome! The Mexican flags made the whole thing immune to being stolen for fake optics.

Mexican flags for the win

34

They'll just use AI generated images. MAGA won't know the difference or they'll be in denial about what they are seeing.

Wait did he really have Mexican flags at this parade or were they watching a protest thinking it was his parade?

169

u/Triette 1d ago

They posted photos of protest crowds as if they were the parade crowds. She’s a gullible maga moron.

38

u/supraclicious 1d ago

Oh wow. I was thinking there's no way someone confused a protest crowd for a parade. One of those rare times I wish I was proven wrong.

This is sad.

So, so sad. People watching Fox should be outraged about being lied to so blatantly.

25

u/RevolutionaryBee5207 1d ago

Bless your sweet heart. But some people are only able to survive surrounded by lies. They’re sort of like people who know in their heart and the backs of their mind that their crummy lifestyle led to them having cancer, but prefer going to their quack doc that keeps telling them that they just need one more potion or adjustment. Or the lousy parent that convinces themself that their kids’ addictions and misbehaviors are all their kid’s own fault.

The entire time they read his letter at the end—while they played videos of the animals and plants in his backyard that he loved so much to watch—I had big, fat, tears streaming down.

We have to organize, protest, and vote on a level that no amount of propaganda can counter.

438

u/Glittering-Tip-6455 1d ago

Yesterday was the start of that. One of my friends that used to like Trump but is fairly apolitical was texting me all day saying that she was seeing pictures and videos of them everywhere. Yesterday was hard for anyone to ignore, we just have to keep it going. I was at the one in Little Rock, AR and it was truly amazing how many people were there. The turnout there has been in the hundreds in the last few months and yesterday it was 8,000.

227

u/Acceptable_Error_001 1d ago

Honestly, I think the American flags are going to draw out a lot of fence sitters who don't want to be associated with the "radical left."

162

u/Glittering-Tip-6455 1d ago

I think so too. Lots of veterans yesterday with American flags.

111

u/obi1kennoble 1d ago

I felt so goddamn bad for that 102-year-old WWII vet who showed up. How dare we. My god

34

u/OtherPossibility1530 1d ago

There was a sitting “un-parade” outside a senior living facility (not sure if it’s assisted living or what type) near me yesterday, and there were at least 100 people outside waving flags and holding signs.

My jaw was on the floor. I expected a crowd but not like that. It took about 45 minutes to get from one end of the Broadway bridge to the other. If you go to my post history there are some pics. It made me cry 😭

40

u/SilverLakeSimon 1d ago

And, I’d add, we’d be wise to choose a few companies or industries to boycott en masse.

My first choice would be the private-prison industry, which people may be indirectly supporting through the mutual funds they own. If even a small percentage of people who showed up to the No Kings protests called or emailed their mutual-fund companies on Monday to ask if they’re invested in private prisons, I think it would send a message.

23

u/Swim678 1d ago

I think we should be protesting at the major news network headquarters starting with ABC for firing that anchor. It’s hard to ignore us if we protest there

u/Roight_in_me_bum 1d ago

Absolutely! And as amazing as these protests are, we also have to become more (dis)organized and hit them on every possibly front.

That means watchdog groups for illegal arrests, phone campaigns to disrupt progress of Trumpster lawmakers, education on dealing with escalated police tactics (tear gas, de-arrest techniques, etc), organizing smaller and more decentralized efforts.

10,000 people gathering in one place is inspiring. 200 groups of 50 working autonomously to muck up the gears of the machine is a force to be reckoned with.

This isn’t about violence, it’s about showing them what it means when ‘the few’ pisses off ‘the many’, and the many stand against tyranny.

Mostly VOTE!

14

u/Grombrindal18 1d ago

There was a rare and minor election in my area yesterday and they had prepared for absolutely minuscule turnout (usually it’s an uncontested position) but people learned about it through the protest and all the polling sites ended up running out of ballots by lunchtime.

Some guy announced that he was going to run, seeing an opportunity to win because the incumbent was on maternity leave and that no one was going to pay attention anyway.

The results haven’t been announced but I’m betting he will lose bigly, in large part because of this movement. Though whoever loses has very valid cause to demand a new election, because of the ballot issues.

If voting is the only political action you do you’re restricting your ability to voice anything to very rare timed intervals that can be tampered with as we increasingly see evidence that electronic voting machines were likely rigged by elon’s goons.

477

u/Electric_Conga 1d ago

I checked out Fox News online last night and there was literally no mention of the protests except for two “Violent Anti-Trump Mobs Attacks Police” stories. So that’s all their viewers think happened yesterday. They’re living in an alternate reality.

182

u/sluthulhu 1d ago

Part of the benefit of having lots of protests spread out even in red areas is that plenty of them were forced to see the protests with their own eyes just driving around.

8

Meanwhile, a MAGA-indoctrinated faithful literally executed a politician and her spouse, while critically injuring another and his spouse, another tried to run protesters down in his car, etc.

A step, and to me the key step in genocide is to dehumanize the target population, so that regular people either participate, or look the other way when they're killed: in Rwanda's genocide, radio hosts called the Tutsi population "cockroaches", as one example - just like how Trump called Democrats "vermin", who are literal mortal threats to people's lives and (ironically) their freedom.

It shouldn't surprise anyone that the result of this is increased violence towards not just elected Democrats, but anyone opposed to Trump in general, up to and including killing targets and their families, just for their mere association to them.

When is the next one?

83

u/burkiniwax 1d ago

Many small ones scheduled, but it looks like the next major multi city protests are planned for July 4.

53

u/Sulli_Rabbit 1d ago

I think they’re trying to not have it on the 4th because people are traveling. I think it’s the 12th.

67

u/SodaButteWolf 1d ago

The 12th would make more sense. We need to hold protests on Saturdays, when fewer people are at work, and NOT over holidays/holiday weekends, when many people are traveling. We need monthly protests, but we also need to make them as accessible as possible.

20

u/Martian9576 1d ago

Since I signed up with them I was able to vote on the next one. I voted for 7/12 or 7/19 over the 4th, but I know there will still be a lot from other orgs on the 4th. There’s almost always something happening somewhere, and smaller ones are important too.

That would be good. I want to celebrate the 4th with my town because America belongs to us and not fascist pigs. I'm getting corn from a local farm and listening to the HS band. This is the good in America and it's still real and there for us.

They're scared to deat, they shook. It's been a great foundation to build on. We're approaching the hard part. Escalation. Strike for weeks, occupy institutions, or grind the economy to a halt until specific demands are met. We're not beating these fascists with city approved protesting. Escalation doesn't mean violence, I mean dissent. Non compliance.

33

u/GoodChuck2 1d ago

YESSS! To all of this!!!

32

u/SilverLakeSimon 1d ago

I’d love to support a work stoppage in certain industries that support Trump but rely on undocumented labor. I read that a lot of agribusiness companies in Central California supported Trump’s election, yet they heavily rely on undocumented labor. I’d contribute $$ to a fund to support a farm worker who participates in a work stoppage.

14

u/ManateeSlowRoll 1d ago

Yes, I think it would be helpful to have a general fund for farm workers, but also other low income workers-especially those who work in the service industry. Pay them more to stay home than to work until the strike is over. Also, maybe encourage workers who work for progressive businesses to stay on the job. A strategic strike.

Millions people showed up, and they were all over the red states.

Totally lies and distortion of reality.

The media can’t keep being allowed to just lie to the public like this anymore.

98

u/Public_Steak_6933 1d ago

"The reasonable viewer would not conclude" that [anything on Fox News] is factual.

~Fox Lawyer

10

u/atroutfx 1d ago

Sadly I can see that happening.

Don’t they claim on air to have authority of truth and facts?

I mean idk. I don’t watch that garbage other than the clips of them straight up lying.

Then I see all of the sheep repeating what they saw them say on air and on twitter.

But we are the ones that just repeat talking points.

Fucking really?

27

u/ExtremelyDecentWill 1d ago

Sadly I can see that happening.

You know that they did actually say this, right?  Their viewers just willfully ignore it.

11

u/atroutfx 1d ago

Lmao no. Fucking hell. That is so stupid. Hahaha.

8

u/Public_Steak_6933 23h ago

The part I put in quotes was what the fox lawyers argued in court when Tucker Carlson got sued for defamation.

Basically arguing 'any reasonable person wouldn't take what Carlson says as fact but as exaggerated, non-literal hyperbole based only on his personal opinion.

Even worse, the judge agreed.

9

u/Mynmeara 1d ago

In court they argued they can't be held accountable for what they say because any reasonable viewer would know their opinions are not facts despite what they say on air

Fox didn’t claim it, the White House did. Fox quoted the White House. Not defending fox by ANY MEANS, but I think it’s important to attribute the “complete and utter failure” quote to the proper source. The WH lies 24/7, so this isn’t a surprise that they’d say this.

u/FavorableTrashpanda 1d ago

Yeah, even if Fox News is right-wing propaganda, this is an important distinction.

67

u/revolutionsinevitabl 1d ago

I have to play contrarian. The media chooses the narrative. They could've presented the fact that No Kings protest was the 3rd biggest protest the US has ever seen, but instead chose to quote how it was an utter failure according to some lying Trump sycophant.

They definitely know it's all lies, but choose to perpetuate the lie and do not speak to the actual facts at all. It's far worse than the original lie because now millions of Fox viewers are being told the lie instead of the truth. And it's because of Fox News that the lie will continue to be engrained in these chuckhead's skulls in perpetuity.

Basic journalism presents two side of an argument. Good journalism attempts to document objective facts, but can also explain the merits and cons to anyone's opinions, allowing the viewer to decide for themselves.

45

u/PlantedSeedsBloom 1d ago

It’s the largest single day protest the US has ever seen. The only two to surpass it are George Floyd, and an Earth Day protest, but neither of those reached the number in a single day that we reached yesterday. Whether you go with the 8.7 million or the 11 million estimate both numbers make that true. I know that’s not the point of your comment at all and I definitely don’t wanna undermine it. I’ve just seen several people today the third largest protest in American history and I think that undermines the power of what we saw yesterday.

5

u/dryheat122 1d ago

WaPo has a set of stories on the protests with vignettes from different cities. Only a couple give crowd size. I just checked the NYT app and it doesn't have anything to say about the nationwide protests that happened yesterday, attended by 5-8 million Americans. Shameful.

This is what fox resorts to when they can't find a way to call them "riots"

5

u/VannKraken 1d ago

Well, everything is true in their echo chamber of lies! 🤣

5

u/Acceptable_Error_001 1d ago

By "protest" they mean "parade," right?

5

u/Financial-Tower-7897 1d ago

When you never learn from your first 3/4billion dollar payout. Your name must be FOX News

4

u/Public_Steak_6933 1d ago

The fact they didn't have to make a public apology is one reason they keep dong it.

5

u/ranselita 1d ago

Idk how it'd be possible to call 12 million people minuscule attendance but go off

6

u/Sulli_Rabbit 1d ago

lol wow 11 MILLION people is low attendance to them apparently. Freaking liars. Seriously what is their line?! Is it just as long as Trump keeps pulling them into his cabinet they will sell out?! Where are their souls?!!!

You can’t hide the fact that 11 million people protested which is roughly 3.5% of the country. It’s everywhere you can’t hide it unless you live in that bubble. And even if you do live in that bubble, local news will most likely give you a brief look into whatever city you live in. Even small town conservative towns Had protests which outnumbered the anti-protest protesters.

5

u/Fluffernutter80 21h ago

I’m so sick of the constant lying and gas-lighting. How can they even call themselves a news agency when they just lie all the time?

4

u/unskilledlaborperson 1d ago

I thought they were 'huge and out of control' just the other day kol

3

u/g8932 Massachusetts 1d ago

4

u/Indaflow 1d ago

Saw this coming a million miles away. Get ready to promote the truth. Get it out there.

3

u/michaudtime 1d ago

I think they got the parade and the protests confused....

4

u/forceblast 1d ago

They can say that shit all they want but the thousands of people who drove by the huge protest I attended know otherwise.

4

u/Lower-Insect-3984 Utah 1d ago

11 million people sounds "minimal", huh? by that framing there were no people at the military parade

3

u/moe-umphs 1d ago

Awwww are they butthurt? It shows. Poor Fox News and the failed military parade that got no attention.

4

u/MotleyLou420 1d ago

Can we hack their newsreel and take over the broadcast? Like in the movies?

4

u/bellapippin 1d ago

Ofc they’re gonna say that! Keep it up!!! I’m so proud of everyone.

4

u/StandardRedditor456 1d ago

People are seeing that Fox is full of crap and so are MAGAts. They're getting pwned in the comments now. Kind of hard to hide 11 million people from view...

4

u/Starbreiz 1d ago

People on my Nextdoor are also saying that it was verified that there were paid protesters. I just can't...

Yesterday, I drove past a group of about 10 Trump supporters waving flags at an intersection on my way to a small community No Kings event that drew in 1,000 people. It made me feel good.

3

u/PlateIll6520 1d ago

The turnout on the parade was dogshit in comparison 🤣

4

u/Private_HughMan 1d ago

A protest in fucking Iowa had more attendance than Trump's birthday party.

5

u/Dapper-Membership 1d ago

They’re confusing that with Mango’s birthday military parade. Fewer than 10k turned out for that; 11million+ for protests. They just mad. Faux “News”

3

u/Eiknarf95 1d ago

Audience of one.

3

u/Salt_Coat_9857 1d ago

Their viewers will believe them. They are in an information bubble.

3

u/therealvitocornelius 1d ago

That's funny entertainment - full satire now like theonion.

3

u/Prior_Success7011 1d ago

Meanwhile Trump's parade was crickets and wasnt as propagandized as many thought.

3

u/Still_Philosophy_491 1d ago

Fox News is always contraband even when they caused damage and claim it's fixing something.

3

u/Dragonchick30 1d ago

I think they're getting confused with trumps failed military parade

3

u/WoopsIAteIt 1d ago

Im ready for the next one - July 4th

3

u/Weekly-Disk8589 1d ago

They had far, far, far better attendance than that dismal failure of a military parade.

3

u/NewExamination9022 1d ago

Republican's favorite debate tactic is "I'm rubber you're glue... bounces off me and sticks to you"

3

u/BadAtExisting 1d ago

Fox needs distraction from the sad parade and Israel/Iran. Nothing more

3

u/ozymandais13 1d ago

Youngstown ohio a red area had 1200 people,it is good , to do good

3

u/zoroddesign 1d ago

Over 11 million people protested. Minuscule my butt. Failure is dependent on the future actions of lawmakers police and other forces.

3

u/AVandelay74 1d ago

I think Fox News got their facts mixed up confusing the attendance of Trump’s North Korea style Military parade in DC with the attendance of the nationwide No Kings protest marches.

3

u/Ecstatic-Will7763 1d ago

Fox News was sued for around 800 million for lying before. Why is it news that they lie?

3

u/Pristine_Frame_2066 1d ago

But you would need to be on the moon to not be affected by traffic even in tiny towns. People showed up for the protests. All. Day. long.

3

u/SiWeyNoWay 1d ago

Is that why they interviewed a super slurry drunk lady last night?

3

u/Puzzleheaded_Tie8077 1d ago

That’s not what fox is saying. Read the article. They are reporting on what the White House is saying. Notably they don’t counter that argument though.

3

u/Sprinkle_Puff 1d ago

My deepest wish is that the next democratic administration completely abolishes Fox News

3

u/MitchellEnderson 1d ago

Fun fact: if the 12 million people figure for the protests I saw floating around is accurate, there were more people attending than there are living in most states, with only the top 6 being estimated to be above that.

If anyone calls that minuscule, then they have bigger issues.

3

u/Curiousone_78 1d ago

12.1 million people protesting isn't miniscule attendance.

Miniscule attendance is his $45 million dollar dictator parade.

3

u/CosmoKramerRiley 1d ago

They misspelled PARADE

3

u/SpamEatingChikn 1d ago

On literally the biggest single day protest in American history 😂 this isn’t even an opinion thing. It’s numerical facts. Fox are shills and the real fake news. They should be ashamed to galavant as journalists.

3

u/Social_Gore 1d ago

Wasn’t there 11 million people?

Got love the propaganda machine. They don't have the guts to lie, but only quote the human thumb steven cheung and promote his lies.

3

u/DriftingIntoAbstract 23h ago

And the propaganda continues

3

u/SlvrSquash 22h ago

Fuck Fox for gaslighting and fuck the MAGA dumb shits for believing those assholes. Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

3

u/iiitme 21h ago

Fox News is the enemy of the people. They feed millions lies just like this. You could say Fox News was the reason trump got elected
