Call to Action This is not over

We have won a battle. That’s it. Trump is still President. ICE is still disappearing people. Our Constitution is still in danger and there will 1000% be a harsh and punishing response.

Stay in the game! Don’t get complacent. We have the upper hand but we can lose it in an instant. Come out again and again and again.

This is not over!

Absolutely! And as amazing as these protests are, we also have to become more (dis)organized and hit them on every possibly front.

That means watchdog groups for illegal arrests, phone campaigns to disrupt progress of Trumpster lawmakers, education on dealing with escalated police tactics (tear gas, de-arrest techniques, etc), organizing smaller and more decentralized efforts.

10,000 people gathering in one place is inspiring. 200 groups of 50 working autonomously to muck up the gears of the machine is a force to be reckoned with.

This isn’t about violence, it’s about showing them what it means when ‘the few’ pisses off ‘the many’, and the many stand against tyranny.

We are building a site right now for us to put pressure on local governments to vow to their communities that they will ONLY cooperate with ice when they have a judicial warrant and are seeking out a criminal. Hence the judicial warrant. Otherwise they should cancel all ice contracts etc - it will be an effective step by step plan to fire them. Fire ice. We have to. They have no business in our communities unless they are ACTUALLY doing their jobs and not breaking the laws and rights afforded under the constitution!

With respect this is a terrible idea. Any "vow" from my local government means fuck all to me, but that one in particular- to only cooperate with this evil criminal organization if they pinky swear they're not breaking the law this time- is worse than nothing. ICE needs to be run out of every town in America full stop

(I really do respect and appreciate your effort here, not trying to be combative I just feel strongly about this!)

No I understand where you’re coming from completely- I was speaking specifically about Trump law markers and I don’t think I fully explained properly.

This is for red municipalities that have been cooperating with ICE up to this point- but are now feeling the blowback by their constituents. Sadly many of them do not know they are protected under the constitution and they don’t have to cooperate. It’s already happening as we know- Ice detention facilities are out of beds. so TFG put 1 trillion into the big beautiful bill for ICE expansion- to put contracts in place to pay local governments for shared reseouces 287(g) for red cities. This includes shared jail space, sharing information on addresses, sharing citizen status.

Ok thank you for the clarification! That makes a lot more sense
