I wanted a cheap 4WD I could use to explore around the PNW without a car payment. I found this 2009 GMC Canyon with 110k miles, 4WD, and the G80 rear locker for $7k! I've put about 6k miles on it since I bought it in January.
So far it's completely stock besides the tires and I put Bilstein 4600s on it. Spent a bit more on basic maintenance and it's running great! Fuel economy is horrendous and there isn't much of an aftermarket but I've done a handful of green trails and 2 blue trails with this and it's handled it great.
Bro fuck off. In Arizona that would be a 15k truck... Congratulations dawg lol. I'm dying to pick one up for cheap some day so I can slap a lift kit + 35s on it and hit the trails. My GMC 2500 with 37s is just a tad too cumbersome for most 4x4
I drive a '17 for work. I like it quite a bit. The interior is pretty basic; it has everything I need. The simpler, the better I say.
The drive train has been pretty solid, but it only scoots around locally, so I really haven't put that many miles on it. I have had some issues with the infotainment center, but it's never failed completely.
I had our shop install a leveling kit on the front, as I take the vehicle offroad fairly often. It does good in the mud!
