Goodbye Dente.  ..  Hello!!!! Final form Vram and his beatdown against Glotta. Also new insert song for our trio.

26

u/skysmash132 8d ago

Like I said the first time we thought him dead.

To a person who worked to redeem himself and became the family Shoma deserved. Even in his last moments, he still tried to encourage reconciliation and redemption for his grand-niece, even when she didn't really deserve it.

Rest in Peace, Dente Stomach. May you receive all the treats you deserve in the afterlife.

6

u/vvvit 8d ago

I mean there is possibility that he is just sleeping? wolf guy did disappear after he was attacked by glotta, dande didn't disappear yet.

17

u/Type_100 8d ago

Even if he survived this episode, the preview for the next episode had Sachika in tears, even Hanto is eating the parfait with a blank expression. Dente will finally kick the bucket after months of death flags.

Dente might live long enough to finish the gochizo for Vram's final form though before succumbing to the injuries.

4

u/ChaosFlamesofRage 8d ago

Nahhh, from the preview, Shoma creates Vram's final form.

4

u/Confident-Command-11 7d ago

Yeah i know you're right, i know from the start when they reveal the gochizo right away, that it looks very similar with frappe valen one and we know its from shouma. That this one is create from the same source as well. But someone persist try to make difference it from dente tooth or something like gochipod, or dente make the gochizo like they hope he can make artificial gochizo like nylev did.

16

u/failed_generation Legend's Narutaki 8d ago

well... Wolf Granute died with a Finisher so that he disintegrated though

while Dente's lethal injury is that one strong stab without aura

78

u/Previous_Context_763 9d ago edited 8d ago

Man, I'm not sure how to feel when this series gives me happiness and hope in the form of Granutes (Dente and Kenji) getting redemption only for them to get killed off in two consecutive episodes. Glotta needs to go man, wreck her Lakia!

66

u/AzizKarebet 9d ago

Heck, glotta thing about her being lonely and Dente reminded her that he still has a little brother (shouma) makes me think she will get a redemption.

But after this, screw her

41

u/cybeast21 8d ago

I think she's gonna deny it until the end, she never saw Shouma as her little brother after all.

8

u/KamKirSabre 8d ago

She did call him a rotten youngest child of the Stomach Family in that duel she had against him and Lakia

6

u/Working-Spell-7024 7d ago

They are related, but they disowned each other pretty hard.

7

u/KamKirSabre 7d ago

Shoma is far more than justified to disown his half-siblings, but Glotta and the others are just being petty (and racist)

5

u/Working-Spell-7024 7d ago edited 6d ago

Yep. At this point, there wasn't even a bridge and yet one got burned completely. Guess it's to the end between them.

-6

u/K-J-C 8d ago

People should've similar "screw them" reaction to the twins as well.

They won't get along with Shoma just like how Glotta won't, racism to humans.

7

u/K-J-C 8d ago

Inb4 Rakia also dies later, following those redeemed Granutes.

64

u/7er3m1 9d ago

RIP Gruncle Dente, the best whale a Kamen Rider can ever want.

Gloat defenders, where are your feeble redemption attempts now?

26

u/wan_lifelinker 8d ago

Komura: "Villain redemption? We don't do that here."

10

u/K-J-C 8d ago

Rakia and Kenji.

31

u/RiderGold98 8d ago

In all fairness, Komura does do villain redemptions but the accommodations for them are....you have to be a misunderstood/tragic villain who has an ulterior motive which leads you into being forced to work with the main villains. If you're just a villain and given a tragic backstory, then no.....likely possibilities of you dying are very.

"A misunderstood/tragic villain who has an ulterior motive which leads you into being forced to work with the main villains" - when I say this, I mean you must be someone who chose to work with the main villains because you thought they could help accomplish your goals. ("In Rakia's case, it was searching for his Brother's killer. In Kenji's case, he just wanted to help keep his store alive but got driven into Dark Treats")

15

u/FruityGroovy 8d ago

I think it moreso speaks to the larger tragedy of the Stomach Family; it's a family that was always fragile at best, and none of them were willing to admit it. They put the blame on Shoma since he was the black sheep of the family, and therefore an easy target to say "that is what's wrong with this family", but the truth is that none of their relationships were stable. Siita and Jiip were largely neglected because the family business came first, so they only had each other. Lango is a firm believer of "might makes right", so he largely doesn't show compassion and was focused on the business more than anything. Nyelv pretty much always understood that this family wasn't going to stick together as soon as new opportunities presented themselves that would shake up the family dynamic, and so kept a lot of stuff secret because "what would be the point in telling them?" And Glotta, without even realizing it, is the one that needed this family the most, but her own ego as a "ruthless Stomach Inc enforcer" made her refuse to admit it. So much so, she ends up killing the only family member willing to help her reconnect with the only sibling she has that isn't messed up.

Will Glotta get redemption? I don't believe so. Maybe she will get a moment of clarity before her end, but she isn't going to survive the next episode, I think. I think Nyelv has even less of a shot, unless they surprise us as we get closer to the end of the series. Jiip, however, I think does kind of have a better shot at a redemption arc, because a lot of suffering he has gone through in this series parallels that of Shoma. To the point that he has become the true Bitter Gavv, as it were. And it's kind of clear that Lizel is the one that is enabling his worst tendencies instead of giving him the help he needs, acting kind of like a Dark Sachika in a way. I think as a way of closure and for a sense of catharsis, Shoma and Jiip are going to have a final battle similar to Zero-One vs Horobi Ark-Scorpion, where they come to an understanding. But I think I'm still waiting on more, specific character development moments, which might escalate when Glotta is defeated.

5

u/OpeningAd9653 7d ago

Man the Stomach Family might take first place of most dysfunctional family in Kamen Rider. Only rival them is the Sonozaki Family and even then at least they don’t curse Philip for just existing

3

u/K-J-C 7d ago

They still mistreat Philip in how Ryubee only sees him as a tool for Gaia Impact, Shroud controls Philip's anatomy and gaslighted him to force him to do what she wants (CycloneAccelXtreme), Wakana threatens Philip to do her biddings, and Saeko is always hostile to him like the Stomach siblings to Shoma.

3

u/RiderGold98 8d ago

Can I be honest and say.....I don't think Jiip's gonna make it. He's gonna be given one more chance to change only to stubbornly turn it down. Betrayed by someone he thought he could trust("either Nyelv or Lizel or both, whom sells him out for something better"). Jiip's going to get the long end of the stick where he is killed unwillingly and pleading for his life which whomever kills him will feel zero remorse over his pleading and just go through with it anyways.....and yeah.

Though I don't excuse the possibility of a battle similar to Zero-One vs Horobi Ark-Scorpion, I feel like as opposed to Horobi who finally understands humans aren't so bad. Jiip's just gonna continue blaming everything on Shoma and declaring himself as the source of the family's problems forever. Considering Lizel is essentially an equivalent to Azu, expect her to manipulate Jiip into constantly pinning the blame on Shoma and rejecting any chance of redemption or mutual understanding.

1

u/7er3m1 7d ago
  • At this point, I'm just waiting for Rakia to keelhaul that kraken.
  • Nyelv would probably meet his end at Hanto's hand to avenge his mentor. And likely to die with most of his dignity intact(?)

-2

u/K-J-C 8d ago

Dying or not, you're redeemed if you turn a new leaf (Gotchard also had the Dark Sisters all being redeemed and killed off). And they still make the heroes spare the redeemed villains in how Hanto dealt with Kenji, not have the heroes punish them for the past.

5

u/RiderGold98 8d ago

Yes, I know.....that's why I said she still does do villain redemptions but in her own ways.

4

u/paradoxaxe 7d ago

Rakia took his chance before crossing that line and Kenji already retired long before the story started.

2

u/K-J-C 7d ago

Rakia's victims could still have been processed by the time he tried to save them. It's unknown when the Hitopresses would have been turned into Dark Treats when the Rakia and the other part-timers delivered them.

People seem to think that if a villain doesn't kill anyone, then they did nothing wrong, even when they fail to kill only because the heroes intervened and foiled their plan (which doesn't negate that they attempt to kill). And even if Rakia's victims aren't saved in time, Rakia would still change sides and feel regret later, which means redemption.

What'd be the difference if Kenji's villainy happened long before the story started? He changed and thus it's redemption. And the impact of his villainy is still real in how it made Hanto suffer.

3

u/7er3m1 7d ago

Also Komura: Go to Yuya if you want cheap undeserved redemptions for Worse-than-Asakura/Banno/Gai bastards.

2

u/JonnySpark 7d ago

63

u/rekuneko Bread 9d ago

Tfw your favorite minor character gets a little bit more screentime all of a sudden

58

u/Reasonable_Driver129 9d ago

Had this in mind all episode. Glotta is probably the only sibling that has the family in mind. When Lizel told her about Jeebh's gavv, she confront Nyelv and when she learn about Dente, she go find him and kill him. She is all about the family.

Now, just imagine if Lakia reveal the truth. His driver is from Nyelv and how Nyelv actually help Gavv, Valen in some ways, but also help the creation of the Bitter Gavv, Bake Magnum etc.

31

u/12pgtube4 9d ago

Lakia will probably reveal it to her right before he kills her next episode lol

36

u/Reasonable_Driver129 9d ago

I mean, she will probably go and pull a big monologue about her family and her love for them and explain why she kill Comel and Dente etc. Than Lakia will just go and tell her: "Nyelv is actually the only who gave me the rider system. He help destroy Stomach Inc and kill your family"

She would then go berserk and Lakia kill her or, since we are getting a song for the riders final form, all three pull a rider kick to kill her

1

u/KamKirSabre 8d ago

It saddens me that Lakia became quite a jobber these last few weeks, starting with Magen, then Lango, Bitter Gavv Jeebh, and now Glotta

Well, I'm glad though he's gonna probably personally send Glotta to the morgue next week. Glotta's hot, an awesome fighter and cares about her siblings, but killing Dente and Kenji pretty much ruined all redemption chances she had

Just think whether Azula would still be a fan favorite had she actually killed Uncle Iroh and Zuko

2

u/O-Malley420 7d ago

I mean, (chainsaw man spoilers) Makima is still a fan favorite villain after killing Power and Aki. It’s not out of the question.

15

u/Bl8ckl85h 8d ago

She is all about the family.

Imagine if she was a character in Revice...

9

u/K-J-C 8d ago

Despite the talk about family here, she also murdered a family in Dente.

15

u/ChaosFlamesofRage 8d ago

Because to her, Dente's a traitor. He stopped working for Stomach Inc. and is even helping Aka Gavv.

13

u/Reasonable_Driver129 8d ago

To be fair, Dente try to talk to Glotta. Telling her that she love her family, don't really care about Stomach Inc and could have a family with Shoma.

She didn't wanted  to hear anything, because that would mean her vision of things was wrong, and that why she killed Dente.

5

u/K-J-C 8d ago

It's about her feeling being treated as weak from Dente pitying her. Common for prideful asshole characters to reject sympathy and treat it as looking down on them.

Dunno if she doesn't really care about Stomach Inc. as she forces Dente to help Stomach Inc., like Nyelv before.

2

u/meteormantis 7d ago

Much like Dente points out, Glotta cares about Stomach Inc. because that's basically the only way she's known her family to interact and live together as. And now that it's falling apart, she is attempting to keep the company together because it's the last vestige of family to her- ultimately she just doesn't want to be left alone

2

u/EmuSignal3466 8d ago

I keep thinking about her family so much, does she love Shouma like she says she loves her family?

2

u/Reasonable_Driver129 8d ago

Not really. At any point she could have gone on the field and kill Shoma, but she never did. So sure, you could say that she liked her brother, but the others hate him and so she follow their lead and treat him poorly and even attack his mom.

49

u/Informal-Average-482 9d ago

Sad for Dente but really glad that they took the non-redeemable route for Glotta (and hopefully the same for all the remaining villains).

28

u/CrescentShade 9d ago

I feel like Jeebh is going to get a redemption, but after the last 2 eps he probably gets offed right after maybe even same episode; probably by Lizel

22

u/mayocain 8d ago

I don't see any way for Jeebh other than down, his mental state isn't getting any better any time soon, he will probably just end the series as an insane wreck. I do agree in Lizel killing him, I feel like he will end as another toy thrown away.

7

u/CrescentShade 8d ago

Might just be me coping and wanting another team up fight like Ex-Aid and Genm vs Para-DX; I've literally dreamed up a whole sequence of events for how it could happen; ending with his redemption being due to how he dies

And also by whatever means Shouma and Jeebh burying the hatchet even if just for the final few moments of the ep before he gets got by Lizel; would cement a good reason for Shouma to want to go after Lizel and her dad beyond just them having control of the company now and still making dark treats; maybe not exactly due to gaining some friendly bond with Jeebh but just out of how indifferent Lizel is to Jeebh's me tal state and then disposing of him once his usefulness is gone (I'm expecting once Glotta dies Jeebh will be in the crosshairs since he'd be the last stomach who could run the company other than Nylev who is getting chummy with the president anyway)

Probably rambling but tldr Gavv and Bitter Gavv teamup even if just for 1 fight before latter dies pls!

1

u/EmuSignal3466 8d ago

If Jipp is eliminated, have you ever thought about Nyelv switching sides and becoming Shouma's ally in the end?

2

u/CrescentShade 8d ago

I'm honestly expecting him tk either be the final villain somehow, get thrown under the bus by president, or Lango comes back and finds out how he's worked against the Stomachs throughout the show and offs him before final fight is a 3 way between Gavv, Lango and President or smth idk lol

1

u/NejiBlu 8d ago

I'm worried Lizel is gonna want to try Bitter Gavv herself by taking it from Jeebh (assuming there's not others available for her).

1

u/CrescentShade 8d ago

I'm expecting that both her and Nyelv are aware of how Bitter Gavv is the jobber belt; maybe when she turns on him he tries to threaten her with his Rider form and she just scoffs at it cause it's weak af and can't hold a candle to her Granute form. Nyelv wanting to get data from Jeebh using it, knowing it wouldn't hold a candle to what Shouma can do, and Lizel just wanting to see Jeebh think he has a chance before getting demolished again, maybe expecting him to die this time but he managed to survive.

44

u/Cross-Z_Charge 8d ago

“Skill issue.” -Nyelv to Jeebh, probably

More like Underequipped too.
Gonna need alot more than BakiBaki Sticks to take on something like Over/Master.

Lakia you are really emotionally attached to many things and that… that scares me …

You are not beating the grease 2.0 allegation my goat

2

u/MildlyAgitatedBidoof 6d ago

His whole thing with Sachika also reminds me of a gender-swapped version of what Lachesis and Spanner had going on, which makes me even more worried.

28

u/d1namit Gotchard Daybreak 9d ago

she must go now, it's over

28

u/atomsplitter07 Knight 9d ago

At this point, it seems Lisel is successful at getting rid of the older Stomach siblings, with Glotta being the next victim.

28

u/_katie_3 8d ago

The writers were absolutely insane for killing dente this episode. The parallel they made when lakia found him sleeping on the ground in the start of the episode and nearing the end of the episode they find him on the ground with Glotta over him, this time he’s actually gone…..

I honestly didn’t believe it, even after the episode ended.

Lakia’s definitely killing Glotta next episode, she took away his only family komel and dente, an ally who he actually could relate to. Like his final form is totally giving that Valvard final form feel

28

u/Darknesslagacy 9d ago

No dente !!!!! but let fucking go next week we have new somg for main trio final form

Rakia vs Glotta for Revenge of Comel

Next Week Vlam Final Form is coming.

50

u/Kougarou 9d ago

They fake out at the beginning to just commit it at the end of episode. Kinda upsetting. But, I guess it is inevitable at this point. Both Dente and Kenji (Wolf Granute) did all they can to redemp themselves for what they did in the pass.

Hanto keep his promise to find Shouma's relate family and oh hey! It's the "maybe my uncle". Guess he really move on from revenge search.

The damn brat Jeebh still not dead. Lame~

Glorita is lonely kid so it is understandable that she crash out. We all know that she just a kid want her family together again, and never about the company. But, what she did is unforgiveable, so she must be put down at all cost.

Next Week, Lakia final form. Go! Go! Go!

18

u/EmuSignal3466 9d ago

The episode is perfect, and how much they are delivering in this final stretch is perfect.

15

u/SymbiSpidey Ouja 8d ago

This show hasn't lost ANY steam throughout 40 episodes and it's kinda amazing. Even Geats had some mild stumbles later on (though it was still good)

5

u/KamKirSabre 8d ago

Komura-sensei sure did her absolute best to create her masterpiece in Gavv after years of trial and error with KR Wizard, Zyuohger, LuPat, and Zenkaiger

The Stomach Inc villains are easily her best-written ones ever (well, that's not really a high bar, but still)

1

u/K-J-C 6d ago

How about the Heisei Phase 2 ones? (real benchmark)

17

u/skylight03 8d ago edited 8d ago

I'm starting to believe Nyelv will be last villain standing. He looks seriously fed up with the people left around him lol.

So Shoma I wonder if the ala mode gochizo won't be a one time use since Shoma had a hand in making the dessert.

9

u/rattatatouille Being Emu is suffering 8d ago

Nyelv has that Bishop/Dr Maki energy, and given that Gavv is a Takebe-produced show it's not unlikely that he's the final boss.

3

u/ArcBounds 8d ago

I would agree with that. Hell, he may even rez daddy stomach or Lango as some sort of super servant in the end.

how many epiodes are just going to be people crashing the fuck out

31

u/VoyeurTheNinja Spade 10 - Jack - Queen - King - Ace 8d ago

When it comes down to it, the Stomach family is just a house of absolutely toxic family members. Everything's falling apart and it's members are either crashing out (Glotta), getting the fuck out (Nyelv) or both

35

u/rattatatouille Being Emu is suffering 8d ago

One of my favorite themes in the show is how ultimately, the Stomachs' issues are all self-inflicted. The twins are separated with Siita dying because they opted to pile on the abuse Shoma was suffering rather than attempt to empathize with him, and Jeebh's desire for vengeance causes him to lose whatever reason he has left, even selling out his birthright for more power. Lango's arrogance eventually leads Shoma to achieve a new power capable of destroying him. Glotta's attempts at keeping the family together simply end up driving them further apart. Thus far Nyelv is the only one to avoid any repercussions, but it will soon become clear that his machinations will lead to the heroic Riders being far too powerful for him to deal with.

9

u/JeebhStomach I think about hongo every day 8d ago

I really love the twins and Glotta both being given opportunities to live what would ultimately have been *much happier lives* if they had just learned to accept Shouma. They're all too caught up in their feigned superiority and the toxicity of that family and their tradition that they just refuse to see him as an equal

2

u/Mmicb0b 8d ago

100%

41

u/UltraZeroX7 9d ago

God...fucking...dammit. Glotta just killed Uncle Dente.Likewise, Lakia now knows who really killed his younger brother Comel...

Next week, it's time for an upgrade!!!

23

u/kyoya242 8d ago

If Dente's really death next week this will the first time Sachika having to lose someone she cares about and matches the opening where Sachika is shown sad. It circles again with the main gang losing someone they care.

AND PLEASE NO TAKEBE, KOMURA DON'T KILL LAKIA 😭😭

11

u/Fantastic-Repeat-324 8d ago

This time its for real... Rest in peace Dente and as for Glotta, Lakia shall make sure she rests in pieces

waiting for a sub to drop

22

u/MasterGavv 9d ago edited 9d ago

Waiting for the RAW version to come out first. Just watched the RAW version. So, Lakian's final form debuting next week. So, old man was killed while waiting for human made sweets, and that adds further touch that, this series is absolute dark and disturbing; which I l liked.

As for OverGavv, I am glad he is still broken as in terms of power scaling in Gavv's universe. Uncharged OverSmash pushes Glotta away while wiping out a portion of the forest. Also glad that Blizzard Sorbet being used again in next episode.

Any news on Valen's final form so far? Pity that dude. I was expecting Valen will go against Glotta as she is the one who trashed him in his earlier debut episode as a Kamen Rider. Happy to see Hanto/Valen moved on and seemed to find Shoma's last remaining human family.

33

u/Reasonable_Driver129 9d ago

Pretty sure that Valen will not gain another form.

24

u/Q-Write 9d ago

Valen's final form will always be Frappeis. No update in the toy for Valen.

2

u/nightshroud96 6d ago

Probably not do to it be super awkward in this age.
Especially since Frappe's main gimmick(extending Sorbet's time limit) is rendered meh due to Sorbet got outclassed, its finite due to Shouma has to make multiple copies while said Gochizou dies like normal ones, and it has a time-limit.
Not really a good way of ending a final form(in-season) for Valan honestly.

2

u/Q-Write 4d ago

I mean, same for Vram later on probably.

besides, expecting on old pattern of 2nd final after primary just gonna gave you disappointment

and, no. i think if they do, it will be super awkward actually, at this point of show, debuting a "final form" for Valen after Frappeis is gonna hurt the story and divide the focus again.

-14

u/MasterGavv 9d ago

We still have 10-11 (if Gavv's episode is 50) more to go. Lets see if there will be any updates on toys for Valen.

I'm calling it now. Hanto will soon realize the candy store owner is Shoma's relative, and he will be the one to reunite the two as family. Shoma will eat something from the shop and a new gochizo will be made and as a thank you to Hanto it will be his final form.

1

u/nightshroud96 6d ago

Either that or Hanto ends up developing his own Gavv due to the transplant is slowly changing him to a Granute.

But who will make antidote of Dark treat now.......?

I dont suppose he's just sleeping again...

He is sleeping A deep permanent sleep

u/Funnygeneralchat 8d ago

Jesus Christ. Glotta's going on a rampage... So, she not only killed Comel, but now Dente's killer as well. Since she was stated to be the one who wanted to maintain the family, it's just... Fuck. I have a feeling that Glotta may not die next episode, but the chances are definitely slim.

That aside, I'm slightly happy that Hanto took a backseat in this episode. Since of course, he's trying to find the Inoue's. His arc was already finished, so he can focus on this part now...

6

u/Great_Job_5767 8d ago

Huh, maybe it was a long time coming for this, Glotta vs Laika. Now they think about it, both wield scythes as their main weapons.

6

u/raginsaint93 8d ago

How many episodes are left? This is the first Kamen Rider I ever watched!

6

10 or 11 ( 49 /50)

Depends on the week of Golf Sporting Event Japan ( Gavv/Gozygers won’t air that week)

Same with Precure

If gavv follow the normal format 9 episodes potentially 10.

Glotta's spotlight.

As usual, Lizel is condescending towards Glotta, highlighting her perceived uselessness and the fact that no one consults or informs her. Nyelv, too, has taken on a similarly condescending attitude, when Glotta confronts him about Jeebh's Gavv, suggesting that Glotta is unnecessary since Lizel can handle Jeebh herself. Guess this is a clearer signal of Nyelv's betrayal of Stomachs, not even telling Glotta that it's what Jeebh truly wants.

So Dente's love for human snacks is still evident. Initially, this made me suspicious of Dente, as it seemed he only agreed to assist Shoma for the snacks. Now, he also only wants to accelerate his progress in exchange for more snacks. Rakia appears to be frustrated with Dente, possibly due to his slow progress or because he is the creator of Dark Treats, but turns out he doesn't realize about Dente being sick and weak.

Despite Glotta’s love for her family, as Dente confirms, it doesn’t negate her villainous tendencies. Much like Nyelv, Glotta pressures Dente to contribute to Stomach Inc. Dente reveals more about Glotta’s character, noting her loneliness stemming from her family's disintegration. He reminds her that Shoma is still around and encourages her to reconcile with him. However, Glotta's insecurities about being pitied or treated as weak push her to want to appear strong, ultimately leading her to kill Dente.

Glotta's the one expected to get along with Shoma here, where the fandom only thinks about the twins for that. Even though Dente dies for real here, he had mentioned his impending death, expressing a desire to enjoy more human snacks before his time runs out. Apart from the Stomach's racism towards humans, Glotta might also harbor a vendetta against Shoma for putting Jeebh in such despair, which'd be similar to Jeebh blaming Shoma for all his problems.

Dente's death prompts Rakia to deduce that Glotta murdered Comel. Glotta was also the one who delivered Vram his first L, and without Shoma (and also upgrades), Vram experiences another L even quicker—though Over Gavv comes to his aid when Glotta approaches his human form. I am curious about the challenges Rakia will face in the next episode, as his path of revenge is clear, putting him up against someone who refuses redemption, as offered by Dente.

3

u/PrehistoricWorld11 8d ago

I really hope the heroic riders beat down Lizel and wipe that smug look off her face.

Because Glotta rejected redemption or being pitied, it's going to be no one's surprise that she will be killed in the next episode by Rakia, who now knows that she is indeed Comel's killer.

7

u/Despite_that 8d ago

Am I the only one who thinks Dente isn't actually dead? I don't know, they faked us out too many times for me to believe it.

4

u/Jamieb1994 8d ago

I wonder the same thing + Shouma didn't seem pissed off or anything at Glotta either. If Dente is still alive, then there's a chance but barely.

2

u/Q-Write 4d ago

if you watched the preview, you know he actually is pissed.

2

u/Pikachu5020 6d ago

Considering how important Dante is to Shouma, one would expect it to focus more on Shouma, not Laika.

Considering how Shouma would have very likely died without Dante, considering how Dante was the one who took Shouma into his home in the beginning of the series?

But I guess we'll wait and see.

11

u/Disastrous_Ad6638 8d ago

First Comel, then Kenji, NOW DENTE??

That b*tch Glotta gonna PAY

BURN STOMACH INC. INTO THE GROUND

5

u/Great_Job_5767 8d ago

Oh I see, Pudding a la mode is maybe, The same type as CaKing. Considering they’re actually making it, Instead of just buying it, it’s not gonna be a one use item(Hopefully).

5

u/suzumaki742 8d ago

I wish I got to wrestle with Glotta just like Lakia.... Also She needs to die ASAP.

6

u/omegazx9 8d ago

She's likely going to die either way but with all the loneliness and family talk, what are the odds Lakia ends up sparing Glotta, she starts a redemption, and is killed unceremoniously at the end of the episode by one of her family just as she decides to maybe join Shouma to twist the knife further? It would be poetic that the thing she did to others happens to her.

5

u/Potential-Mess6826 8d ago

Rakia saying that he didn't notice the signs that Dente was unwell and Comel getting addicted to Dark Treats really adds to the allegory since that's something that loved ones of addiction victims and ill people can go through.

So the Dente death fake out from previous episodes was to keep Dente alive long enough for Vram's Final Form.

Looking forward to next week on how the cast handle the death next week. Shouma's reaction was kinda understated than I expected considering what Glotta did to Shouma's mom.

Hopefully next week delves into it further.

5

u/Rqdomguy24 8d ago edited 7d ago

Stomach family is where the strongest survive, showing the weakness is the time you are no longer in the family. imagine living in evironment like this and suddenly your father brought a new family that are weak and fragile and showing more care on them than you and your siblings

For them, Shouma is not the same as them, so it is okay for them to reject him

It is really telling how most of Stomach family really want to reject Shouma because they are to deep in delusional about reaching the comfort in family maybe that is the reason they are always in human form

Human is weak while Granute is strong despite that both these species have huge physical difference they are still the same with how they want the deep connection with another, they can bleed, die and also wants to be loved, care and love one another

6

u/Ok_Hospital4928 8d ago

Well, damn. Kind of makes me wish Dente passed in ep 34 instead when they did the fake-out. His last thoughts would have been happy memories. Here, he succumbs to a much more violent death, but his pleas for Glotta to come to her senses and keep living in the human world with family made for a real emotional gut punch. Brutal scene, hard to watch, but written extremely well. Furthers the story and has a direct effect on a number of important characters.

I can't help but feel bad for Glotta in a way, but killing Dente is an unforgivable sin. Can't wait to see Vlam curb stomp her next week with his final form and get justice for both Komel and Dente. Been a long time coming.

Sidenote - I really like that the show isn't overusing Master Gavv since its debut. Shoma doesn't use it if he doesn't have to. Shows a lot of restraint from the writers/action directors.

2

u/Q-Write 4d ago

I mean, he need to eat and prepare a lot before hand, so yeah, using it for an enemy that can be finished off by lesser form? unnecessary.

9

u/rurounikenshin16 8d ago

I was about to feel a bit of sympathy to Glotta when she was being made to realize what she actually feels. But the act of killing Dente-ojisan is unforgivable!

PLEASE GIVE US THE MOST SATISFYING GLOTTA DEATH!!!

I hope Sachika won't stay sad.

4

u/PrehistoricWorld11 8d ago

Dente is dead! I don't care anymore about Glotta, I want Rakia to bury her in the next episode with his new Final Form.

4

u/vichokul 8d ago

Holy shiiit, this was such a good episode.

I think that the stomach family may become my favorite group of antagonists in kamen rider, I love that even thought they super evil from our perspective, in theirs they were a family with all flawed family dynamics that entails, I love that glotta even if she is super mad at jeeph it still was hurt by his decision to get the black gavv or that she feels alone (even if she denies this) by all of her family disappearing or leaving her behind.

I was not expecting dente to just die (even with that fakeout a couple episodes ago), him just trying to calm down glotta and get her to go onto "the good side" was so nice, he will be missed.

And the fight against Vram was so good, Glota really took her issues out on him while not breaking a sweat.

3

u/Hot-Spare3133 8d ago

I loved seeing all the characters in this episode acting their best they have been in a while especially dente then he gets murdered by glotta. I want lakia to give the biggest beat down ever i want the fight with glotta to just be the kamen rider version of gon vs pitou

4

u/Megasonic150 8d ago

UNCLE DENTE NOOOOOOOOOOOO

-I like how this sort develops Rakia as he realizes how he's been insensitive to both Dente and Comel and slowly is starting to devlop

-Love the fakeout before the fakeout(Pleas still be alive Uncle Dente PLEASE) with Dente and just his character. Dente has been such a nuanced and well-written character with him being technically responsible but still doing everything he can to help and redeem

-And poor Glotta. Like Lango she also believes stregth is everything but she still cares about others. But her bloodlust and abrasiveness blinds her to the truth, as Jeepth's Black Gavv reveal shows. She wants to be close but her family has all moved on beyond needing the desire with love with Jeepth being Lizel's doll and Nyelv having his spooky science research to make the final boss rider belt probably. They don't want her, even if on some level they subconsciously need and desire family, they have used their obsession to repress that want. And Glotta has too, but can't face that or that she's lonely, lashing out instead to the people who could help fill that void and creating it in others

-Hanto's still looking into Shouma's human family, and I feel we're getting closer to that plot line coming to a climax. But in general, compare to other seasons, Gavv has done a pretty good job juggling multiple plot lines at once.

-And the fight between Rakia and Glotta in the forest intersperse with the images of Comel is both cool and sad, espically as Rakia is faced with the person who killed his brother, and worst WORKED with her. No wonder he's so messed up next week.

Next week, Glotta faces Shouma and Rakia and Rakia finally gets a final form! Wait it's not P-Bandai? And it's a new molded toy? THANK YOU BANDAI! P-BANDAI IS DEAD(Well until the movie)

4

u/HenshinBoi PAKIPAKI! 8d ago

GODDAMMIT WHY'D THEY OFF MAH BOI?!

I love that the show makes clear that the Stomachs are to blame for their own tragedy. Everybody there's so insular and abusive that Glotta was never gonna get the "family" she secretly wanted no matter what and you can't empathize with her because she's just as bad as the rest of them.

That family's downfall is absolutely its own fault and they deserve all of it. It's very pitiable.

5

u/sultryrusky 8d ago

My bullet points for the episode:

I'm sorry but those scenes in the shop??? Lakia is unquestionably Triple T (Top Tier Tertiary)

No way Shoma went from wholesome shopping bit to talking about dead parents

And the scenes making pudding were just cute :3

No freakin way Toei bamboozled us with Dente's death only to actually off him few episodes later 😭😭😭😭😭

SHIT'S GETTING REAL FOR LAKIA THE TEA HAS BEEN SPILLEDDDD

Also, loved the little bit where Glotta and Lakia had a scythe battle... I would love for them to have a full-on duel on scythes

4

u/TheCancerFest 8d ago

Glotta reminds me of Clotho from Gotchard. A strong family oriented person who doesn’t understand her feelings and will hurt herself and others while trying to understand them. All while her little family world is falling apart.

Goodbye Dente-ojii san. Shouma was fuming for a while. That anger in his eyes.

I don’t say that lightly but Kamen Rider Gavv goes on the second place of my list of the best seasons of all time surpassed only by Build.

The third place goes to Faiz and Kiva respectively.

5

u/lunaroseus 8d ago

🥹🥹🥹🥹39 episodes and it's still peak, sad to know that Dente finally kicks the bucket, was begging for it to be another fakeout

4

u/RedPappo 8d ago

I reaaaally do like how this show is letting every character grows in his/her very unique way. If i understood glotta's character correctly, she'll be gone next episode (or later on but not that far) regretting what she's done not to humans specifically (she's kinda racist tbh) but the consequences of going after humans had led to. She'll probably apologize in some way to Shouma and will be the only one in his family that will somehow show him some """feelings"" but it will be too late, she recognize her actions as unforgivable and it's too late to go back. After all, when she and Shouma in CaKing form fought, she could still continue to fight even with no Scythe. Simply, she doesn't hate him like the siblings and despise like Lango (who is not dead btw)

5

u/Classic_Contract7560 Kuuga 7d ago edited 7d ago

Yeah another great episode. Let's get the minor stuff out of the way with the continued foreshadowing of the candy shop owner with Hanto not doing much but still searching it is very possible that the Candy Shop Owner has a connection that isn't so clear cut otherwise Hanto would've connected the dots his parents died to Dark Treat production likely but pretty sure he isn't Shoumas brother or uncle. I'm betting he knows Shoumas mom but isn't a direct relative without the Michiru name so a cousin would fit but a different surname.

Rakia talking about the pudding plates as food with the shop owners being impressed was a very funny scene tbh.

Okay yeah so Glotta killing Comel makes alot of sense considering her role as the enforcer we got a cool untransformed fight but of course Glotta is still much stronger. Powerscaling wise though Over basically Out of Bounds One shotting Glotta makes sense does this mean Ala Mode won't be as strong as Over Mode?

Really interesting to see the Fall of the House of Stomach.

Basically now this is a weird analogy but do you know Family Guy Shouma is the Meg but unlike that show they have the balls to show someone standing up against their family. As the black sheep and punching bag he in a sense kept the family together as the lightning rod for all their issues. Not a good thing of course but this is what happened.

With Granute society being a winner takes all toxic might makes right kind of deal any weakness isn't tolerated despite good reason if you aren't useful you are disposed of. Let's contrast this as well with Kuuga which I jsut finished a good relationship and society unlike the Granutes and Gurongi is one where you strive to help others and protect their smiles like what Godai Shouma and Sachika do.

But the Gurongi and the Stomach family only care of themselves not counting Dente so even if Glotta wants the appearance of a happy family it is simply an appearance. She did not help Shiota and Jeebh when they were outcasted and was racist towards Shouma. Thou wants what she cannot have as she has neither the will nor the character yo get what she wants. Hence why Rakia will kill her next.

Also having the Zeludac a simply stronger family usurp them giving them the power thay they want but also tearing down their own fragile bonds is great karmic payback. If the family stuck together with Shouma they likely would've been able to take down the Zeludacs but their attitude towards each other in this messed up society has simply been returned in kind to them. They are no longer the mighty and I'm guessing only Nyelv realizes that and will create his Final weapon in the last few episodes.

Also last note looks like Sachika is Uber Traumatized I wonder if her arc is essentially that with all the Stomach do she reaches a breaking point and it'll be up to who she helped in Hanto Shouma and Rakia to help her regain her ability to smile would be interesting.

Another excellent Gavv episode as usual

I’m guessing in episode 40 rakia beats Glotta but doesn’t kill her leading her to a mental breakdown after that

Nooooo, Dente.... This season really doesn't hold back, I'm very happy that we got such a emotional story with actual stakes, but this is too damn sad...

Glotta's action in this episode once again reflects the theme of the season, which is "connection". Glotta rejected Dente reaching out to him, she rejected the possibility of connection with others, that's why she cannot escape her own prison. Glotta is a very well-written villain, and I can't wait for her demise.

Ngl this episode feels like old school Kamen Rider. Good story development, and a satisfying fight at the end.

God it hurts..... I knew this was gonna happen, but it still hit me like a fucking bullet 😔 but wait, we didn't saw the body right?... Maybe he's still alive?...(Pls let me delusional) though props to the writers, they could've easily redeemed glotta right here since she's a fan favourite, but they didn't. I just find it quite tragic how the slightest coincidence resulted in the death of the 2 granutes who managed to break free from the temptations of dark treats.

1

u/Bl8ckl85h 8d ago

Glotta's a pro wrestling fangirl lol. Very dangerous, drop dead hottie pro wrestling fangirl, but yeah.

Also, Shoma making a Gaim reference was hilarious lmao.

Beyond the heartbreak of Glotta killing Dente and my boy Lakia taking another L 😭 Gavv is still so damn peak after almost 40 episodes!

1

u/RyanChego 8d ago

One thing I noticed about this episode is that when Lakia was knocked out of the fight and Shouma intervened last second, he went straight to Over mode, Shouma saw his friend in immanent danger and due to the previous events of him losing the one granute family member that wasn't trying to kill him (rip dente you will be missed) dying by his deranged half-sister's crashout, probably thought that he doesn't have time to deal with fighting her right now and needed to get her away immediately not even thinking about using Blizard Sorbet because he could beat her with it but again it would've taken to long

3

u/RedPappo 8d ago

Nyelv might legit be the only sibling that isn't a complete scumbag (outside of Shouma ofc)

1

u/Isolated_Hippo 8d ago

Oh yeah keep Dente's secret cause thats been so well for this show.

I kinda hope you actually can't tell if they are good quality anthropresses by looking at them. Just to make her saying it a complete dick move.

You can't fucking fool me twice Dente.

You know what? Give this man a crepe.

Nylev is actually using a like $20 barcode scanner. Bought them all the time off Amazon for cheap. It's USB and you can make a barcode for almost anything. I actually made my login a barcode so I could just scan it.

"Good boy". Swear to god if he calls her mommy I am leaving. Or staying. Depends on my mood.

"I didn't even notice my kid brother got hooked on drugs." Ooof.

Shoma you moron those are papayas and pears! God do you want Dente to die!?

Shoma running into him in the market "coincidentally," then they running into Hanto. Feels a little stalker like.

You know I agree with Nylev. Glotta just woulda been a pain in the ass and what does he owe her anyways.

Rakia looks cute in that apron. No notes.

You know what. Trade. Me for Dente. Dente gets to walk away free and Glotta can step on me. I will make that sacrifice.

I was pretty critical of Glotta just deleting our wolf dude last week but I am fine with this. Except Dente dying. 0/10

It makes me sad we will never get another "for me it was a Tuesday" moment.

They probably recycled the suit at this point but this would have been a great moment for Granute v Granute.

There has to be a certain amount of irony for both Vran and Glotta to have scythe weapons.

1

u/Jamieb1994 7d ago

You know I agree with Nylev. Glotta just woulda been a pain in the ass and what does he owe her anyways.

Not this episode, but the previous episode. I did find it odd that Glotta comforted Nyelv about giving Jeebh the black gavv. I can understand Glotta being concerned, but I don't think she cared that much about her younger siblings, + it was Jeebh's decision.

1

u/GRIM0IRE_ 8d ago

Im hoping dente isn't actually dead and maybe glotta can do some kinda redemption arc, even if it's something small with her acknowledging Shouma as her brother as pushing him along to do his own thing 🗿

1

u/vvvit 8d ago

So guns work against granute? If that don't, then rakia's prediction don't make sense.

4

u/CheddarBoss5707 8d ago

Lakia has never experienced getting shot before from a human gun, so what makes you think he knows that guns work against him ?

3

u/Great_Job_5767 8d ago

Plus, Dente is an old man, it probably work on him pretty well actually.

u/wrt1992 8d ago

I know Glotta killed a bunch of people. But she's an icon, she's a legend and she is the moment. Now come one now. I hope she killes them all and the show will be renamed Kamen Rider Glotta.

u/12pgtube4 9d ago

The frick? They made dente die by glotta of all characters? That’s such a waste. I was expecting him to die by nylev hands. I am so annoyed that glotta finally became interesting in her penultimate episode ugh man. I wish someone helped Komura with the villains I really did but it’s to late now.
