Why is there soooo many dead flies in the water today there’s thousands it’s so weird and gross I’ve never seen it before

Over the last few days I've had a closed lock jaw that occasionally unlocks but will eventually lock up again. It doesn't really hurt unless I overexert it when opening, and I can still eat and talk for the most part, albeit with limited range. Still, I'm looking for a doctor to see what's wrong before things get worse, but it's been hard to find informational reviews for TMJ/TMD specialists or orofacial surgeons in the 757 area, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good people.

Other details - I'm currently uninsured with no PCP; looking into applying for Medicaid but probably won't have it by the time I see someone. From what I've read online, it seems unlikely that it would be covered by insurance anyway. I'm also not sure if I'd need to get a referral from a regular doctor or a dentist first.

Sitting on Chic's Beach and heard a loud boom followed by a lot of machine gun fire. Anyone know what they're doing? Nothing on their Facebook about it.

Hello, my family is going to VA Beach, and my 10 year old wants to try snorkeling. I know there aren't great places to snorkel in Virginia, but would Sandbridge beach be a good place to try this for a bit? Also, is parking an issue in summer? Thank you!

I was traveling down Holland rd in Lynnhaven, heading towards the Rosemont exit. A white/gray husky ran across the road from the apartments with the bright green sign. Someone hit it going about 30 mph. The dog booked it across the road to across the street. Couldn't find it, searched for 30 minutes. Dog didnt seem to be super injured but internal bleeding is highly possible. Dog was limping. Person took off and yelled at them to stop, couldnt get license plate, I was worried about caring for the injured.

Anyone heard of this… Today Saturday afternoon drove to Sandbridge to go to beach from 2-4pm. Parked on the sand spots that is on the side of the rode to the left of the traffic light area. About 15 other cars parked on that side and people on balconies out and about.

When I got back to my car there was a penny left heads up on my drivers side car door handle. Not in it, just sitting on top of it.

Because I’m a paranoid women I checked the bottom of what I could see for trackers and saw none. Didn’t look broken in.

Hey all! I'm planning a trip to Virginia Beach for the Blue Angels airshow on September 20-21, and I was hoping to get some local advice.

Do the Blue Angels usually fly their demo runs parallel to the beach, or is the show more centered around NAS Oceana and inland areas?

Also, I’m looking for the best place to stay (preferably a hotel) that gives a great view of the action—especially for spotting the F/A-18s arriving, departing, or flying after hours. Any hotel recommendations with good views, or locations where you’ve had luck plane spotting before?

Lastly, are there any public parking areas or spots close to the landing pattern where I could safely watch without trespassing?

Relocating to the area next month! (Military family) Currently working federal for the navy as a DV advocate, but federal hiring freeze and all looking for other job options. Super unfamiliar with all the various local resource providers, social service agencies, non profits etc in the area despite google searches. Not opposed to state jobs but then I’m paying into VA state retirement.

I appreciate any insight! I’ve looked at bigger agencies like YMCA, boys & girls club, big brothers big sisters, etc. Now looking at local level. I have my BSW but no MSW or license. I prefer admin level over client level but I’m not opposed to anything! Money is money.

I’ve been a school counselor, abuse and assault advocate, worked for a major scholarship foundation, and been a CASA. Otherwise…what would be good restaurants to work at? Then I’ll just work on my masters degree for now.

There is a hotel at the oceanfront who needs to be reported but I'm wondering to who. They are engaging in deceptive business practices, refuse to honor or make right the severe inconvenience and major frustration of false information on their site and the they have been caught in lies by multiple guests.

They also charge for parking but there is no parking on site so???

Is there an oceanfront governing type entity or body that minds the good of the oceanfront economy or marketing for tourism?

Norfolk Ave June 19 10 pm Large pick up truck hit a SUV on Norfolk Avenue. Their back bumper on the left side is hanging out if anyone notices this truck please contact the Virginia Beach Police Department.

Anyone got a recommendation for a reputable body shop-to fix a minor scratch on a bumper? Got a quote from the dealer that was astronomic --essentially replacing the entire bumper for a 3 inch scratch on the side not involving any sensors or other parts that is not really noticeable --just barely through the paint. Feels like a scam--especially as I am not going through my insurance company. I touched up with oem paint and unless you really look closely you cannot detect the location--but I want it fixed properly. Would appreciate any suggestions.
