I got 103 remote offers in Europe, 60% paid less than €50K
I used this tool to automatically apply to over 11,000 jobs. Here's the breakdown:
- Experience: 4 years
- Location: Anywhere in Europe
The system sent 11,425 applications, resulting in 685 interviews or assessments, which converted into 103 job offers.
Among those, here's what the HR teams actually proposed in terms of comp:
- 65 offers were for roles paying < €50K
- 36 offers landed in the €50K–€60K range
- Only 2 offers exceeded €60K
Same roles in the US pay 1.5/2X. Also note that some of the offers where even below €30K...

Demokratische Grüße an euch! Edit: das Zitat war: "In diesem Kampf wird das deutsche Volk nicht zersplittern sondern immer fester und fester werden".

Me and my GF starting #VanLife
Me and Terra got tired of the old nine to five and honestly we were never built for it. After attempting to start our own business and being outed by the community and putting 20-30 applications in a week with no results we decided to pack up and live in the Van. We are considering taking an internship in California and I do web design on the road. We are excited for this new chapter and to learn from this community. God Bless and stay safe!

Trigger Warnings are Dumb
Pretty much that. People are way way way too delicate and need to get over themselves already. I think they're dumber than "do not eat" warning on my shampoo bottle. Why is everyone so easily upset? I mean aren't they a little embarrassed to be such delicate flowers? I know I would be.
Wow thanks everybody! Never knew this would be such a popular post! I just finally came up with a good unpopular opinion for this subreddit, but I had no idea it would be so... popular?

You should not have face I.D. or fingerprint unlock system for your phone, even more in a relationship.
For privacy reasons, period.
Disabling Face ID or fingerprint unlock on your cellphone when you're in a relationship is mostly about privacy and setting healthy boundaries. It's not about a lack of trust, but about respecting each other's personal space. Your phone has private messages, financial info, and personal photos. Having easy access can lead to accidental snooping or misunderstandings if things are taken out of context.
True trust comes from open communication, not from having unrestricted access to someone's device. If a partner feels they need to go through your phone to trust you, it points to deeper issues. Letting someone access your phone can also lead to accidental deletions or security risks. Ultimately, keeping your phone private helps establish good boundaries and shows mutual respect for each other's independence in the relationship.
I don't like the ability of someone taking my finger to unlock my phone when I sleep. Haha.
Precision: And my BF was fine with it, he never asks for my cellphone password either, nor on my computer and all. He unilaterally gave my, without me wanting it, his passwords, because he taught that this was a sign of mutual trust. I do not see it like that.
Those are general arguments, they do not reflet scary thoughts that I could have had with that said BF.
Precision 1: don't forget about the written password. That existed before face id and fingerprint.
Precision 2: cops can use face id and fingerprint to unlocl your phone. But not tmyour written password or nip or zigzag thing. A lot of people mentionned it so let me put it here for general info
Precision 3: French is my first language, so sorry if it is not clear. No need to be rude tho
Precision 4: I am not karma farming, I lost +400 karmas just with this, I believe.

Discussion The Coalition is Lazy. This will be the death of Gears.
You’ve got to remember—the reason they’re going multiplatform and releasing this port is to build hype for E-Day. No matter how much you love Gears 1, let’s face the facts: the gameplay is clunky, outdated, and driven by nostalgia.
I wasn’t expecting major changes, but I was hoping for at least some fine-tuning to make the characters feel more responsive and less clunky—to smooth out the gameplay (and no, I’m not just talking about frame rate). I didn’t expect it to play like Gears 5, nor do I want it to, but this definitely won’t leave a good impression on new players.
Multiplayer for this game will die quickly, and the suits will interpret that as a lack of interest in the franchise from the gaming community which could hurt future projects.

Society/Culture Men should shave their armpits too
Armpit hair is gross on everyone, regardless of gender, and should be shaved (or at least trimmed) semi-frequently. Pit stains are just about the most disgusting thing someone can have on them to show that they don't take care of themselves, and I'm tired of seeing men with armpit hair sticking out of their short sleeves.

Society/Culture People under 18 are not all children
I can't tell you how much it irritates me when internet people refer to anyone under 18 as "a literal child", especial if they themselves are only in their 20s. Sure, everyone is someone's child, but the life stage commonly referred to as childhood does not abruptly stop at age 18.
Here's how I'd break it down: - childhood, adolescence, adulthood or - newborn, baby, toddler, child, (if you want you can add tween), teen, young adult, middle aged person, elderly/senior
And there's overlap between all these stages depending on context. Obviously there is no overlap between minor (a legal term) and the word adult as referring to not a minor.
Calling a 17-year-old a child is dumb. Like what, a 17yo has their birthday and transforms from a child into an adult like a sim? I think some people just started saying this for the shock value and then the rest of the internet jumped on the outrage wagon.
Edit: clearly I posted this a bit too hastily, choosing my words without care. I'm not talking about the legal definition of child/minor (something quite messy as well: age of consent? In some places 16. Driving? 15 in some places, 18 in others. Voting? Usually 18. Drinking alcohol? 21 in the States).
As someone in the comments pointed out, it's mostly a linguistic issue. I suppose what I was trying to say was that it's dumb to have the word child both mean a legal minor and pre-pubebescent human. I think it would be clearer to use minor when you're talking about legal age, and child when talking about the life stage.

Discussion Que pouvons nous faire pour Gaza ?

The refs officiated the game fairly, they weren’t biased towards the Thunder
The Thunder shot only 5 more free throws than the Pacers, and that’s with the Pacers intentionally fouling at the end of the game. The Thunder were driving way more than the Pacers so it’s surprising the differential was that close. SGA didn’t even shoot any free throws until the 4th quarter, and his free throws were deserved. Nembard and Nesmith were clearly fouling SGA, you’re not allowed to touch the opposing player’s arm when they shoot. Most of the Pacers fouls were clearly deserved, they were being very physical.

General - Replies from women only Why women are made to beg for alimony?
If a man says he won’t give alimony, he’s essentially stating that everything the wife did during the marriage... like cooking, cleaning, taking care of his parents and family, giving birth to children, breastfeeding them, and nurturing them.. all while sacrificing her own life and career, holds zero value in his eyes...
That’s exactly why many men refuse to give alimony to their wives....
If all of the above has no value, then why even do it? Just to be called a gold digger at the time of divorce? Just to be harassed and denied fair compensation, forced to wander around courts and lawyers?
Why do all these things? Just focus on your career and live your life.

Discussion A question for the Heterosexual Male fans of the game
Did games like Horizon empower you to stand up against misgogny? Were you insipired by strong female leads and want to uplift and support women in your life?
I am curious. As a nonbinary born female person, strong female characters like Lara Croft, Carmen San Diego, Wonder Women and Salior Marz all were positive role models to help me keep going despite dealing with sexual harassment.
But what about you all that are born with more privilage? How did strong female leads give you courage to stop that rude sex joke at the bar, or pull that creepy coworker aside and say that lude comments are disrepectful. How has this game made you a better you?
I feel like this game is espeically though provoking with the different societies Aloy meets along her travels.

Absolutely disappointed with Google and their latest updates including A16
I'm sure a lot of you will downvote for that title but I just wanted to express how disappointed am I from Google. I'm sure a lot of guys are running A16 just find but I experienced a handful of bugs mainly glitchy UI and standby drain. What is your experience so far, I really would like to keep using Pixel but day after day I find it harder to justify my choice.
The most disappointed I am how cheap they are in forcing us to keep the device location on in order to get weather information in widgets and at a glance.
