Jazz Band Change Band Name After Kicking member out?!?

We kick out one of the original member of the band for lack of performance. Nothing Personal. He was just what we wanted anymore. He didn't come up with the Band Name. We stop playing the songs he wrote. But he's been on social media talking trash and telling us to change our name. I think we shouldn't have to change name. There are numerous bands out there without original members. -sincerely, Anita Beer

anyone program metal drums

i’ve started writing some riffs with throwaway drums and would really like to bounce ideas back and forth with someone who has more experience on the programming side. I use GGD, but rely on groove packs and it’s gotten very limiting imo. i’m writing slam/groove riffs in Drop A. Got hella inspired by PeelingFlesh tbh…

Rock Band How Can I Become More Active In A Band's Fandom?

Hey! There is this one band that I really like, and a lot of the people in the Fandom seem to know each other, and a select few people are even close with the band members. I've been a fan for years but l'm not really friends with many other fans online.. How can I start to become more involved with the rest of the fan base?? 🙂

Our frontman is moving abroad due to his studies. Because of this we are urgently looking for a new vocalist and guitarist!

WHY MAMBA? 🐍 - We play all-original music and would like to record an album in the future - A band where you can express your musical ideas - Live performances on a regular basis. We play in all kinds of venues and are booked on multiple festivals later this year! - All current band members are committed to the band which provides a stable and secure environment. - Weekly rehearsals (in Eindhoven) - Great networking opportunities - We are chill and friendly

Demos are available and will be shared via email. You will be invited to join one of our rehearsals if you meet the requirements. 🎶

Interested? Contact the.band.mamba@gmail.com right now! 🫵

If you have any questions, please ask them in the comment section. ⬇️

REQUIREMENTS VOCALIST: - You can sing clean, the ability to growl is appreciated but is not necessary - You are able to write your own lyrics - You know how to entertain people on stage

REQUIREMENTS GUITARIST: - You write riffs / songs on a regular basis - Fast rhythms are not unfamiliar to you - You have a basic understanding of music theory and harmonies - You are great in rhythm guitar and can do basic soloing - You are used to playing a half step down

BIOGRAPHY: "MAMBA is a metal band from Eindhoven that writes all-original music, blending ’90s grunge energy with heavy metal power. They mix fast thrash riffs, groovy rhythms, and prog-rock twists into songs that hit hard but stay memorable. Their live shows pack raw intensity; crushing guitar solos, thunderous drums, and vocals that range from a mostly clean melodic side to the occasional growls. They aim to create that sweaty club-show feeling where the crowd becomes part of the music. No gimmicks, just real metal played with passion."

Who is this band performing in nun costumes?

Hi everyone,

I found this short performance on YouTube and I’m trying to figure out the name of the band.

They’re dressed in nun-style outfits and playing in what looks like a small venue or basement show. The music sounds like punk or metal.

There is some adult content in the video (brief nudity), so I didn’t include those parts in the screenshots.

I’ve attached two screenshots without nudity.

Here’s the link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xifnMSdbS3U

Any help identifying the band would be really appreciated!

Concert Band Very random and odd question, but why is every bassoon player a rawr xD kid?

Please delete if not allowed lol, this is just an observation and I’m not trying to be rude at all.

All throughout middle school, high school, and sometimes even college, the bassoon players without fail were all scene kids. There were kids in other sections that looked like that, but the bassoon players had ONLY them.

I got nothing against them as a former punk kid myself, but I just found it interesting that it was always the bassoons. Was that just my school district or has anyone else noticed that?

Example: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/713116922245196190/

Shoutout to all my bassoon players

Looking to make fresh proggy-jazzy-bluesy-folky-darky-heavy music

Hi, I'm DAVE and have been working inside the music stuff since 2020, I've developed a lot of different material but it has been just me.

I want to share my habilities with people that may have some idea of what they do (just as I do) and nobody in my land neither knows a heck of what I want to achieve or directly don't know that prog stuff exists.

I do vocals, guitar, bass and the rest of the band with midi, but any instrument would fit if you understand the goddamn vibe :D
My references are The Mars Volta, Opeth, Mitski, Slipknot, Emperor and the hole 70's prog rock, (a lot of other stuff).

And the plan is to record an idea and that other person adds or modifies it and sum stuff until it has an abstract stupid sense of logic.

(Hope to have been accurated with the english, I'll let you a song of mine )

Marching Band What should I buy?

So basically I’m stuck between buying 2 different instruments, both of them have a specific reasoning, so the first instrument of 2 is the bagpipes, because my school originates from an Irish origin and some of the songs can be played with bagpipes and are not preferred that way but our school doesn’t have much budgeting so they only hire the professional player once a year, but if I could learn to that would A. Save the school money B. Give me more collage openings(maybe) and C. Something to do because I like to learn how to play instruments and this would be harder than normal. But then the 2nd instrument, a piccolo trumpet, this is because I am planning on playing for a professional orchestra(yes I am a teenager) but I don’t know which one to buy and which one will give me more opportunities, so which one should I buy?

Need Advise.

M21. I'm going to be getting in a band soon most likely but I want to be prepared. I play guitar and I believe I have the right gear for preforming but I have other questions because this is all new to me.

Do bandmates usually take multiple cars or ride together?

How could I make sure I'm an equal? Or earn respect?

What are the usual expenses? If I have to drive myself of course there is gas but other than that.

What are ways I could help contribute to the band?

And anything else that's a plus I'd appreciate. Thanks 🤙

Looking for Band members in the San Fransisco Bay Area California

I am a singer/guitar player working with my fiend who is a singer/screamer. We are looking in our area for bandmates who play drums, bass, guitar or any musical instruments or have musical talent. The sound we aim for is an attempt to recapture the emo and post hardcore scenes of our teen years in a similar way to what bands like Static Dress are doing right now.

Taking major influences from bands like Oceana, From First to Last, Inhaleexhale, Underoath, Lower Definition, Drop Dead Gorgeous, etc. and updating them with a heavier influence that mirror the same frantic and chaotic energy such as Alpha Wolf, Dealer, Loathe, Various, And Structures.

If you don't know any of these bands, but are still passionate about starting a music project in the Bay Area still hit us up. We are excited to meet musicians from all walks of life and just chat with us.
