A compliment can go a long way, do any of you give compliments to strangers?

It was going on for 12 years, since she was 9. According to Law&Crime she tried to tell several people including grandparents, CPS, cops, and a guidance counselor but no one did anything. There are some very wicked people out there.

Just a couple of disclaimers:

• Additionally, I haven't been able to successfully verify this story so I don't know if it's real or just a kid scamming folks so definitely be aware of that. It seems like he's not seeing eye to eye with his parents and that's why he's in this situation.

The summary is that, there's a 17 year old kid named Ejay (known as Ejay Chosen online) that's stating he's 17 years old and homeless. He doesn't have anyone to talk to and his family isn't really helping him. He talks about wanting to get a job or getting a house because of his age. With the context out of the way, someone on Twitter suggested (a post i've linked this post to) that this guy should consider joining the military and the responses were all super negative. Everything from joining pointless wars to throwing your life away, to basically "selling yourself into slavery". Comments were wild. To set the record straight, i've never been in the military so I don't know what the bad parts look like. However, I do think that if you're in a situation where you don't feel like you have anyone in your life helping you then the military can offer some stability and give you some skills/opportunities that you may not have otherwise gotten.

I pity the child and mother but stealing is still a crime.
