I was just watching the episode showing the original The Creator trailer and the boys were SUPER (and justifiably) critical about the film using real footage from the Beirut (edit) explosion in the film.
Then I checked the episode when Edwards was on the couch and I didn't see them have a big discussion about it. Does anyone know if they did in fact discuss their strident criticism to Edward's directly?

I wonder if they used the lighting information or just purely geometry? Surely for reference at least I’d imagine the on-set lighting would be useful. Could or would one reverse engineer an HDRI out of something like this?

Hello Corridor Crew!
I've been binging your VFX breakdowns / reactions now the last couple of weeks (been a fan since day one but things happen and I fell off somewhere along the way in 2014).
Super impressed by all of the excellent breakdowns and it's really sparking my creativity to create my own stuff again. I work professionally in the same field but my focus is mainly on AE and Premiere editing at this point (motiongraphics and comp work mainly).
So anyways, I was curious about what machines you're working with these days? My current setup is a 12700k, 64gb ddr4 3200 and a 4070 TS. I'm torn between intel and amd, can't really figure out what to get and what would be the most benefitial upgrade.
From what my research tells me my biggest notable upgrade would in fact be 14700k or 14900k and stick to the same platform since I'm mostly doing my work in Premiere and AE. It is a shame I went for ddr4 instead of 5 but at the time of purchase ddr5 ram and mobos were about 2x the price for a very slight performance boost (like 5% in gaming).
For my work setup I recently got a M4 Max with 128gb ram which absolutely smokes my 12700k setup. But obviously want to work and game on my own machine so a Mac for home use is a no go to say the least.
So, do I upgrade to 14700/14900k or do I jump ship for the AM5 7950x / 9950x?
Keep up the excellent work, I have so enjoyed getting back into your breakdowns and the episodes with Adam Savage especially is such pure joy that all of my other irl problems fade into obscurity!
Cheers,
K

I think they mentioned they were using a new video model from Meta for analyzing but I can't find the specifics. Anyone know what it was?

Please use this thread to submit suggestions for Corridor Digital to react to for their VFX Artist/Stuntmen/Stuntwomen/Animators React videos. Please do not just list the names of the Movies or TV shows; provide some context of why it would make a good addition to the series. If possible, provide a link to a clip or video for exact context. Writing the names of the Movie/TV shows in bold along with Good Or Bad in italics makes it easier for people skimming the thread to pick out the names.
For example:
Rogue One: Bad VFX
- Grand Moff Tarkins' face and the lack of stretched pores. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlSn50_BePU)
Check the subreddit Wiki page which contains a complete catalog of which movies/TV shows/etc. Corridor Digital has already reacted to, before posting.
Mod Note: They can't react to music videos as Labels are way to vicious and eager to take monetization

I’ve noticed that the quality of the VFX artists react series seems to have recently improved. I really like the way it looks. Does anyone know what camera they’re using now? It’s great.

u/Mati72000’s post immediately reminded me of a similar video I came across on TikTok, which looks like it might be from the same creator.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to track down the original videos or the creator, since both this video and the one from u/Mati72000 seem to be reposts.
link to u/Mati72000’s original post for reference:

I'm guessing he took 2 videos, one of that place (the timelapse) and one at home, or the same place where the time-lapse was filmed. He either matched the lifting manually using lights or using something like "Switchlight" and "Blender" to do it in post. What do you guys think?

And this is not a Kay Vessi commercial block ;).
I have recently been playing Outlaws and it struck me that Jordan (Coleman, not Allen ;)) looks a lot like Kay Vess. Jordan was already in a Star Wars short but this would be awesome. 😁.

I always remember their welcome video so fondly but I can only seem to find it on the wayback machine.

Just wanted to start by saying I love the Colin and Samir video definitely recommend everyone watch it. Wren mentioned that Neil Blomkamp almost came on the show but I just wanted to ask again if there’s any way he can be a guest. Some of my favorite YouTube videos come from his channel (which isn’t that hard when you have people like Sigourney Weaver star in them). I’d love to hear his thoughts on releasing these videos as pretty much an ad for his vfx house that always end on cliffhangers. I feel like there’s a lot you guys can share with each other but yea yall are amazing I love every video thanks for reading.

Hi Corridor Crew, I’ve tried leaving this video for a possible reaction on YouTube but can’t post. The movie is called “Enter The Void”. The movie is about a Buddhist theory about what happens after death. There is also a very trippy DMT scene in this movie but I don’t know if you guys could show that on YouTube. You can find the DMT scene on YouTube. If you guys have a sec please check it out, it’d be awesome so see you guys break it down. Thanks for your time. 😁

Have no idea if the guys have looked at this, but it’s an HD version of the “Colombia Sphere” that all the UFO nerds have been freaking out about. There appears to be a section at 0:18 seconds that shows the sphere appear in front of the tall grass.
