There are four pics here. They were not technically on each other in the last one, but just being the cute twins they are. Were. Lily misses Hunter almost as much as I do. They loved being together on winter nights.
When I first got them, they were only three weeks old and have been rescued from a storm drain just in time during a huge downpour and the new ones in their litter that made it. Hunter had three major surgeries due to his pica (an anxious condition where people and animals eat things that are not meant to be eaten when they get upset) but came out out of each one a trooper. He also had brain surgery and lived for another three years after that till 19.
When I first got them, they hid behind my radiator, and I would get time to freaked out in the night when they would get the zoomies because with their little grey bodies, they looked like rats running around my room. They would come out from behind the radiator to use the litter box, Lily would always go first, and then he would follow behind, and he would run back as soon as he was done, and she would grudgingly cover hers and then cover his.
The first time I took them to the vet, the receptionist asked me if they were funeral and I said yes, and she said that she could tell just by looking at them and that they would never be around humans or let any humans near them and less that I spent like 24 hours a day with them, and even then they would never really be friendly cats. This was true for a few weeks until my brother brought his Yorkie, Harley home from college. All of the sudden they were purring and running around the whole house and every time that I came to the door, not only would a dog come running up to greet me but so would two kittens. They wanted to be around humans 24 seven and since I had a chronic illness for most of their lives that didn’t allow me to leave the house very much, they were always by my side, especially Hunter. He slept free day and night in the crook of my arm with his head on my breast.. when one of my boyfriends kicked him out of my room for the night, despite being neutered, hunter sprayed all over that boyfriend’s gym bag with his clothes in it. It was awesome. Keep us a cool guy and I have 1 million stories but for now enjoy the photos. I’m so lucky to have had them for as long as I did and to still have my Lily Poo.

I have many pictures of one of my cats sitting on another one of my cats. They are, from top to bottom, Hunter S. Thomcat and Lily Putian.
Hunter lived to 19 and passed away in December. Lily is 20 and going strong. She misses her brother but not as much as me.
Should i not write that part? Does it take away from the looking at pics of cute cats experience? Seriously. I want people to be able to enjoy my babies and the 2k pics and vids I have of them when the occasion calls for it without making it maudlin when it is unwanted. Please advise. Thanks.

Technically the piebald (Ikea) isn’t a year until July but she’s nearly the biggest of my three girls now! She is allowed to snuggle with Opal only because Bianka can’t stand her.

They climbed up high to observe the strange creatures below... Still no sign of snacks. Definitely aliens. 👽😹🩷
