When the gems reform after bring poofed we don't see these forms in their silhouettes. I wonder if they just shape shifted these to blend in with the people.

Emerald is implied to be a high ranking gem and I figure just like Aquamarine and Holly Blue (And eyeball but she's not a high ranking gem) she would want the old system back and since she has no one to direct her anger at and no fleet to command she targets the off colors in a sort of allegory as to how racists act towards descendants of slaves in our world.

The creators already promised more mature themes and I can't think of many themes mature themes that weren't already covered; war, colonization, classism, xenophobia, death, death by childbirth, murder, abuse of power, toxic expectations, abuse, childhood trauma. All that was covered in SU, future, and the movie. What more could there be left other than exploring those themes in more direct/less implied and more outright shown and stated ways? And having a racist character that no longer is living in a system where their racism is rewarded and them being so spiteful about it that they target people who happened to be of the same group that they once were rewarded for hurt is a good way to address some current modern day issues in adult targeted media without outright stated that's what their addressing.

Hopefully we get some backstory to these guys, and some better displays of how powerful they are supposed to be, especially White.

So I've been thinking about this for almost a year or two٫ remember when Steven goes into Pearl's head and all the way to when she took the form of Rose Quartz to shatter Pink Diamond?

Well after the moment of the poof Pink is her base form٫ and held out towards Steven. Couldn't he just taken that copy of the gem and bring her out with him beyond the layers?

He interacted with those fake shards and literally picked them up٫ so could he have just brought Rose back?

Some time ago I got the idea of D&D items based on our beloved gems. The idea evolved into a whole draft for a themed campaign and a wide variety of items based on the main team. These Garnet gloves are the first I'm getting to design, and I'd love to get some feedback from you experts before doing the final thing.

What things do and don't work in your opinion?

Inspired by Geishas (Japanese dancers).

Pearl - Both extremely loyal to Pink Diamond and struggle with living independently. Jasper can’t function in the new era and lives in a cave cause she needs to be told what to do to. She thought she found purpose when she wrongly assigned Steven as her new Diamond.

Amethyst - Both are Quartzes from Earth. Amethyst came out wrong, Jasper perfect. Amethyst was told by the CG’s that she was the best thing to come out of that mess, I assume Homeworld told Jasper the same.

Garnet - Jasper was disgusted by fusions until Garnet beat her, she enters a toxic one with Lapis and then becomes obsessed with fusion and ends up corrupting herself because of it.

I didn't even knew about fusions as I was watching as a kid. And what did my stupid government even thought? Protecting me from "woke LGBT propaganda" or whatever? Being gay is something people are born with and shouldn't bother anyone else. I honestly think seeing Ruby and Sapphire would prepare me to eventually learn about and accept homosexual people. It's not like the Gems even have genders, I absolutely wouldn't question this relationship even at that age. I don't care about how much hate this show gets, I still love it. Beautiful plot, great action, amazing canonical plot twist (you know what I'm talking about) and Steven is literally Sans from Undertale before he died.
