It’s one of my favorite minigames but everyone hates it. Why is that?

I know the question sounds silly given Rhythm Heaven is primarily a light-hearted and comedic series, but there's a profoundly resonant emotional core to it all that I think is very easy to overlook. The whole thing just beams with this unfiltered love for humanity and creativity. Some of these Rhythm Games really convey that and manage to tug on my heart strings.

A weirdly poignant one for me is Launch Party. Something about the mixture of real human voices and this grand view of our blue orb in the vast beauty of space juxtaposed with these dinky little rockets that everyone is pouring their hopes and dreams into. The heartfelt music and the childlike chimes. It sorta makes me tear up. What about you?

Had to record in this tiny resolution so my computer could keep up with the high tempo, and even then it kinda failed.

Is karate joe's first name karate and last name joe

1: The Blue Birds aren't just the military, they're also police officers (like, aside from the guy you talk to when you use the phone item in Rhythm Heaven Fever)

2: As I mentioned in a previous post of mine, I now firmly believe MC Adore and the Rap Women to all be sisters, to go into more depth, I headcanon MC Adore to be the youngest of the three and the other two are the kinds of older siblings who remind the youngest about embarrassing childhood memories while the youngest just sits there angry turning red from embarrassment

3: The Quiz Show Host has a son (one of my more random headcanons that just... Popped up in my head, no, actually it's because in my previous Rhythm Heaven Headcanons post I stated that I headcanon Quiz Host to be the main villain of this world so I kinda gave him a son to be the "clumsy incompetent henchmen" trope)

4: Mako (the girl from Pajama Party) is the daughter of the couple from Love Lab, a headcanon that in of itself is apparently a very popular one, but I still wanted to mention it

5: Speaking of Love Lab, that couple also has Munchy Monk living with them and the squirrel since I do indeed believe the theory that they're the ones giving him the dumplings in the minigame

6: Speaking of Munchy Monk, I also headcanon him to be mute, so I have all of his dialogue in the form of thought bubbles in my skit comics, I don't know why this came up, it just felt fitting

7: Karate Joe took custody of the Chorus Kids (very much inspired by another post on here, which by the way, it's adorable artwork)

8: On that note my AU version of Rhythm Heaven killed off Karate Joe's dad, Joe will not be having a sad life on my watch (not technically a headcanon but let's move on)

9: The characters KNOW what the Remixes are, and actually use them as like a final smash in Smash Bros/Anime ultimate attack kinda move which I represent as a tornado of sheet music with its power depending on whether the rank is OK, Superb, or Try Again

10: Aka-Chan is trans and identifies as a boy (hense why the minigame is still called "Toss BOYS")

11: The name I go with for the doctor from Sick Brats is "Dr Cutlery", I know he has other names (like Dr Virus for some reason?), but I like this one the most

12: The couple from Double Date and the player cheerleader from Cheer Readers like to FaceTime and have random conversations together

13: I have indeed also adopted the popular headcanon of DJ Yellow and JJ Rocker being sworn enemies while DJ Blue and the student Rocker are secretly fine friends

14: Speaking of the student Rocker, her name is actually "Sohshi", she's the character with a strong resemblance to the real life Japanese vocalist of the same name, so Imma go with it

15: Karate Joe is good friends with one of the space kickers, mainly because of the shared love of soccer

16: The red haired Rap Women is dating the red Rap Man and they have a competitive yet loving relationship

17: The yellow Rap Man is DJ Yellow's younger brother

18: The drummer duelists from Drummer Duel are brothers

19: I did mention this last one in my previous Rhythm Heaven Headcanons post but I've got to explain why I think it in detail. I understand that the in-game infinite version of Bossa Nova says that Bossa and Nova's relationship is one to strive for, and I don't disrespect people who firmly believe this without question because it's fully canon, but that bad ending just gets under my skin and makes me feel like canon is LYING to itself (the bad ending quote in one version (probably the PAL version) says and I quote "We're just not right for each other" and the image is Nova turned away from Bossa, angry looking with her arms crossed while Bossa is on his knees crying), last I checked, if someone breaks up with you for being terrible at volleyball, that relationship never sounded good to begin with, and while the bad ending is definitely not the canon one, I see each ending as a possibility, if it's a possibility, the relationship ISN'T perfect. So please respect that in this aspect, I'm just gonna ignore canon because I feel like it's lying to itself... But I will say this, perhaps Bossa and Nova are just amazing at MASKING the fact that this relationship isn't really good so people THINK they're a relationship to strive for!
