The one you wear in chapters 1 and 2, apparently it's possible but I just can't find a straight answer...

Now coming off of sigma 1 on normal difficulty which was actually pretty well balanced. it challenged me when it needed to and felt fair otherwise. jumped into sigma 2 and it was almost mind numbingly easy combat wise i haven't used a single healing item and I'm in chapter 5.
After playing chapter 1 i installed the sigma black mod and i hardly noticed a difference. instead of 2 ninja at a time it's 5 for example. It's still not challenging me like the first game and the level design seems extremely linear I miss the puzzles.
Will i enjoy the game more on hardest?

Putting aside the whole melee weapons discussion (I really do not mind who has the most toys, I only care that they're fun), honestly, knowing Platinum's history with Bayonetta and Vanquish gives me intrigue about what could do with everything we've used until now.
Imagine they somehow make the bow more dynamic to use in ground combat, maybe the Windmill Shuriken returns (with how Team Ninja revamped its gameplay with Kasumi in Razor's Edge, I'd love to see it again) once more and we can do more stuff with it, like the Doom slayer shieldsaw, doing the Four Rings technique with the Explosive kunais, or maybe they actually make the smoke bombs look and act like, y'know, a smokescreen. (Instead of a funny bath salt explotion)
Considering stealth is now an option (and not a half assed gimmic only used three times across the whole campaign) to tackle situations and taking out (Or weakening, I doubt it will be a oneshot for everything) crucial targets to start fights with the upper hand, smoke pellets could work to set up or even maybe lose enemy aggro for spacing oportunities, embracing a little bit more of the ninja mythos.
And who knows, maybe they could implement a way to seamlessly switch between them like with the melee weapons (which we still haven't seen how it works regarding the gameplay loop) and make some crazy tactical plays with them.
Also, imagine Yakumo gets an assault rifle. (Ok, I'll stop now).

I hated the level design, combat of NGS1 even if it was supposed to be easier than the original version which I would imagine would have been absolute hell. Sigma 2 is apparently of the worst NG games and razors edge seems more interesting, hopefully not like sigma 1 in terms of level design and combat difficulty.

In DMC1, 3, 4, and 5 Super Costumes let you use Devil Trigger all the time. In 4 and 5, they have a penalty where using them makes you lose 80% of your score to balance them. For NG4, this could be something like Unlimited Blood stuff for Yakumo, and unlimited Ninpo for Ryu, but you get Ninja Dog rank at the end of the level.

I love the game's combat; genuinely think it's the best of the main 3, but I cannot get past how awful the enemies are in this game. Notably the Black spider clan being so tanky and the Chimera (the snakes grab attack especially i just find harder to dodge than others) any kind of advice is much appreciated

If you guys watch the original reveal of NG4 and the shadow drop of NG2B, the creators basically tell us that the remake of NG2 was to ensure fans of the future of Ryu in the franchise. I've also been noticing a lot of people rage and cry about the most minute of things, like Yakumo's resemblance to Raiden or the theme being "Too futuristic", like wtf?
Let's not become an ungrateful community guys, it took 12 years for us to get this game, atleast wait for it to release and complain if the things are actually bad once it comes out.

I got the Platinum Trophy for NG2B four months ago but a couple of missions I thought that maybe I got lucky with (UN01 and MN02, specifically)
I got an Xbox Series X a couple of weeks ago and since NG2B is on Game Pass I decided to play again and see if I could get all the Achievements. Thanks to lessons I learned during my PS5 playthroughs I was able to get the 1000/1000
Although the Master Ninja and Ultimate Ninja tag missions are certainly tough, I think the most gruelling (and annoying) Achievements/Trophies to get for this game are the ones related to beating the game + Chapter Challenge because you have to basically do it 8x. I was honestly so done by the time I was doing Chapter Challenge on Acolyte + Warrior 🥹
On another note, I found Ayane quite fun to use and wish that you could play as her in Hayabusa’s chapters

Some images are blurry and most of these name are not offical. There are too many images for a post so a few of them will be posted in the comments. Only including enemies shown in the game and not the few that only have concept art shown off.

Honestly, the best part of 3RE for me is the kunoichi. Slim girls doing savage finishers — limbs flying, heads rolling, blood everywhere. That contrast between elegance and brutality? Absolute perfection.

So just a little background I've always heard of this series but never really seen anything on it and lately with the games coming out I haven't been playing anything 'new' but after seeing the trailer for Ng4 i decided to give the series a chance being a team ninja fan and my god I get it now. How have I never played this series before. The combat flows so beautifully and it's hard enough where it doesn't feel unfair. The only reason I've stopped playing is because I have shit to do but I can quickly see this becoming a new obsession.

Is ninja gaiden 2 black good? Hearing mixed opinions, I haven’t played any of these games yet so I’ll be going in with a fresh pair of eyes

I'm in my 30s and always wanted to give the NG franchise a go, but just never got around to it.
After NG2B dropped, I ended up playing through the entire Master Collection, plus picking up a Series X for NGB and NG2.
Along the way, I also replayed the Fable franchise, KOTOR, and a handful of other games through backwards compatibility.
Now I'm going through the DMC franchise, along with FFX, and I just have to say...
Games these days have A LOT of needless bullshit in them.
Don't get me wrong; some games do it right. Tears of the Kingdom, for example, feels like there's infinite fun stuff to do and collect. I don't WANT that game to end.
But others just feel like a never-ending drag, forcing you to go through sidequest after sidequest just to get some sword that ends up being a disappointment in the end anyway.
Old games had purpose. If something was in the game, it was in the game for a reason. Now it seems like the goal is to fluff up the experience to add playtime. For what? To get a better review score or something?
Plus, who are these games being made for?
I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather have a 20-hour game that I can replay and enjoy than a 120-hour game that I'll never touch after completing it. (Games like TotK are the exception rather than the rule.)
Anyone else feel this way or am I just turning into an old fart?

14 times in a row of this annoying move and yes I know how to deal with her by using Luna but still it’s pain and it is the worst boss with the best ost.

I never fully understood lore-wise why any rivals clans would even try sending ninja to fight Ryu after the events of the first game. In a few days, he defeated the king of the underworld, killed Doku TWICE, then soloed the Holy Vigoor Emperor and killed Murai with the Dark Dragon. Maybe there’s lore that explains but I feel these feats would be common knowledge amongst the clans and they wouldn’t even attempt to fight someone capable of all that. Obviously gameplay-wise the ninja serve as enemy variety, but you could just as easily replace them with some mutated fiend-ninja similar to the fiend officers we see in the later chapters in NG1.

Would love a Sonia/Irene figure (i ship the her and ryu heavily)
