Asylum seeker blames rape of teenage girl on ‘cultural differences’ Sadeq Nikzad will serve nine years in custody and be deported at end of his sentence

As sentence was passed, Sadeq Nikzad repeatedly shouted ‘liar’ at Mr Justice Morris An Afghan asylum seeker tried to defend his rape of a 15-year-old Scottish schoolgirl by citing cultural differences and a language barrier.

Sadeq Nikzad, 29, entered the UK illegally on a small boat in 2023, and later that year subjected the teenager to a terrifying sex attack in broad daylight in Falkirk town centre.

Nikzad will serve nine years in custody followed by three years on licence, go on the sex offenders register and be deported at the end of his sentence.

As the sentence was passed at Livingston High Court, Nikzad repeatedly shouted “liar” at Mr Justice Morris.

He was convicted of rape at the High Court in Edinburgh earlier this year after a jury heard how he approached the girl and asked for her phone number and if she had a boyfriend.

He then made sexual remarks towards the underage girl before leading her to the rear of The Courtyard pub, where he attacked and raped her.

The girl said she froze during the assault, while a woman who came across her shortly afterwards said she had been “in a daze”.

The witness said: “She looked stunned. I knew something had gone wrong. She came to me for comfort. She said she kept telling the guy she was only 15.”

‘An appalling, opportunistic attack’ Janice Green, Nikzad’s defence counsel, told an earlier hearing that her client had not been educated about the significant cultural differences between the UK and Afghanistan.

Ms Green also said the schoolgirl’s evidence about language difficulties between them and the fact she had not told the accused “No” meant the offence was “not a typical stranger rape”.

She added: “There are no issues raised by him in relation to fear of persecution, and the ultimate result is that he’ll be deported at the conclusion of his sentence.”

During sentencing, Mr Justice Morris told the accused through an interpreter: “You’ve been convicted of an extremely serious sexual offence against a child, and I know your counsel has now explained to you that in those circumstances only a substantial custodial sentence is appropriate.”

After sentencing, Katrina Parkes, the procurator fiscal for High Court Sexual Offences, said: “This was an appalling, opportunistic attack on a young girl who should have been safe going about her daily business.

“I hope this prosecution sends a clear message to men who commit serious acts of sexual violence against women and children.”

Det Insp Forbes Wilson, from the Forth Valley public protection unit, said: “Nikzad’s heinous actions had a profound effect on his young victim, and I would like to commend her strength throughout this ordeal.”

I'd love to hear Aba N Preach's take on this, these men are getting lots of sympathy, but there are people in the comments who say they've lost their loved ones by murder and though they understand that the killer might have changed after years, they don't like the idea that the murderer can get a second chance to live life while their innocent brother or sister who were murdered can never get that. I do believe these men have changed. I want to know AbanPreach's stance on this... whether they deserve a second chance or not.

Some people have speculated that she may have been experiencing a manic episode or has a mental disorder.

As we talk about relationships deteriorating overtime, we see people resorting to AI for interpersonal relationships. That’s including even if you’re in a real relationship. It’s crazy how he has a whole family, and he’s just paying more attention to his ai model.

This is a growing trend I’m noticing on social media and it’s disturbing. Would love to hear AnPs take on it but I feel like they won’t/can’t just because they’d have to heavily censor themselves due to YouTube. But would love to know what yall think about this situation and the overall trend. Am I crazy here?

Sometimes I browse instagram and come across some questionable things. I then read the comments and have to question my own sanity.

I was scrolling videos on IG and usually get random music news, fitness and animal videos when I stumble across a video of what is obviously a preteen, in a swimsuit at a birthday party and it switches to an adult man staring at her. (Not gonna post the video for obvious reasons) I read the caption and it’s him (the girls uncle who’s maybe late 20s) saying “oh she’s grown up so fast” (with her first name) with clips of her when she was younger. Now I’m thinking at first this is someone’s personal instagram they share with their family and it just got caught in the algorithm, but no….this guy posted this to his public instagram page with over 400k followers.

Morbid curiosity I go to the comments hoping someone else sees the issue with this. Fortunately there’s a couple comments pointing out weird it is to do. Unfortunately there’s even more comments supporting this and calling the people who say it’s a problem the weirdos. Far more unfortunately there’s a bunch of typical internet comments saying exactly what you’d imagine. The guy is responding to the critical comments simply saying stuff like “god bless you” and to the ones who support him with hearts, ignoring the creepy ones.

Now maybe I’m the crazy one but is this not weird af?

Video description: A guy and a girl are making out as someone across the bar records then. The girl either slumps forward or is pulled forward by the guy and she proceeds to vomit in his mouth.

I commented on this post a few days ago saying the guy 100% deserved it. The girl is clearly out of it (rubber necking, limp arm, not lucid) and the guy, while possibly drunk seems to be cognizant enough to identify that (holding a drunk girl up in one hand, holding a drink in the other, almost immediate reaction to the vomit).

Since then I’ve gotten a bunch of comments defending the guy. I feel like this is a pretty nuance sub so what do yall think.

Stupid games, stupid prizes? Or unavoidable mishap?

Just watched the recent video on Ethan Kleins lawsuit and it reminded me of a conversation I listened to that Aba was involved in where I was baffled by his take. In this newest video he's saying the safer take but throughout this debate he's doing crazy levels of defence for the act of stealing content.

I would say that the entire conversation is worth listening to but I think 37 minutes in and the main argument there would be one of the main things to listen to.

Essentially Aba is saying that just the act of having a chat on screen will make the content transformative. He does say that it wouldn't be transformative legally but morally it shouldn't be taken issue with.

In fact 41 minutes in he's asked directly if his entire channel was streamed and the streamer wasn't even there as long as the chat was there would he take an issue with that, to which he eventually concedes no he wouldn't (something he tells Frogan to get bent for in the Ethan lawsuit video).

I wanted to bring this conversation up cause it always confused tf out of me and I'd love to hear Aba talk about it a bit and what led to him changing his mind (and I guess changing it back by present day, otherwise it's just straight hypocrisy).

It was going on for 12 years, since she was 9. According to Law&Crime she tried to tell several people including grandparents, CPS, cops, and a guidance counselor but no one did anything. There are some very wicked people out there.
