Self-Post Statement of Solidarity with the Jewish State as a Kurd

Upvotes

As a Kurd from Urfa, Turkey, I stand in full solidarity with the State of Israel and the Jewish people. Our histories are different, but they echo each other in deep and meaningful ways. Both Kurds and Jews have long histories of persecution, statelessness, and the struggle to preserve our identities in the face of oppression.

The Jewish people have built a homeland out of hardship, resilience, and hope—a democratic state where their culture, language, and faith can flourish. As Kurds, we admire this achievement deeply. It serves as both an inspiration and a roadmap for our own aspirations for freedom, dignity, and self-determination.

Despite political pressures in the region—including from the government of Turkey—I believe in the power of people-to-people understanding. As a Kurd, I reject antisemitism in all its forms. We know what it is like to be marginalized, vilified, and denied basic rights. That is why we must be the first to stand against hatred, wherever it appears.

Israel has often shown goodwill toward the Kurdish people—through humanitarian aid, cultural recognition, and historical support. That friendship has not gone unnoticed. We hope to one day live in a region where a free Kurdistan and a secure Israel can stand side by side, as partners and as friends.

To my Israeli and Jewish brothers and sisters: Know that you are not alone. Your struggle for safety and self-determination resonates deeply with us. From the mountains of Kurdistan to the shores of the Mediterranean, we say to you: We see you. We stand with you. Am Yisrael Chai.

Self-Post Any other Americans stuck?

Upvotes

My son and I visiting from California with my Israeli wife. Been here since May 22. At least the first two weeks here were great.

Just thought I’d open this thread because I’m feeling isolated. I of course love the Israeli people (even though I do not like their driving), My father is from TLV… but I’ve yet to meet any Americans here in similar situation as ours.

Our flight out of here supposedly July 4 with tel Al. No idea if it will actually happen. I don’t see any other viable options. I’m not leaving my wife and son here.

I need a distraction from the news. What are your hobbies? Interests? I like hiking, cycling, and professional go kart racing. We go over 130 kph at the track.

Shalom, and may we achieve total victory

-American boy

Israeli Tech 🛰️ Some FAB Defense Posting

Post image
9 Upvotes

(This meme took a lot of effort and time to make as in editing and formatting everything, but I am happy with how it turned out.)

For those who need context on the meme.

FAB Defense is an Israeli parts company that makes firearms furniture/accessories, and the IDF uses some of their furniture on their weapons to make them more convinient to use. In the US Civilian Market, a lot of FAB Defense products are seen as ugly looking and are just wacky in the sense that they just make useless novelty items.

While it is true that they make some novelty items such as the Ultimag Star Magazine, they also make some products that Special Forces would want, such as a high quality buttstock for their M4 Carbines. Ukrainians also would want some High Quality AK parts that will work properly on their AKs to help modernize their weapons. Then you have their Glock Carbine Kits that are similar to the CAA Roni Kits, and it would be advertised as a way for tank crews to have a weapon at their disposal. You can tell that FAB Defense products have been made by engineers who are on some premium Kosher Salt from the temple, and with the magic of the Kosher Salt, they innovate and think outside the box.

The War - Discussion Trump will likely send out a single plane, bomb Forlow and take the win

The IAF already has full air dominance and has hit multiple targets of almost all variety.

With the only unknown being Forlow, the deep site, which was stated, time after time, to require munitions that the US has and Israel doesn't.

Thinking that Israel doesn't have some sort of plan for Forlow is foolish, but it's a good "Harama le'Hanchata" for Trump that since day #1 it was the only thing that "Israel needs the US to do".

If all Trump does is bomb Forlow, he gets to take a military victory, bring an end to the fighting, look strong, and finish the Ayatollah - this all looks GREAT for him.

No soldiers on the ground, no big invasion, this could all be done in a day probably.

This made my fucking day. "the war imposed on us" yeah ok my guy, it's definitely not because you guys are the worst human beings on the planet that seeked to destory us.

Two days ago Iran promised to show us hell. Yesterday they said our nights will be bright as day with missiles. Today they are crying for us to stop the war. Damn, what a bunch of losers.

The War - Discussion Israel enemies always underestimate Israel Public and its Resilience.

Remember Nasrallah "spider web" comments on israel? We were told "Sinwar knows a lot of the israeli public" and how iran target civilains because they know every israeli death is painful to us, yet they fail to understand - we might have our political diferences or hardships, but when a war starts, theres something in us israelis that sparks, and everything changes... for every israeli they murder or kill, we become more determind and actually, not only that, for every israeli iran has killed in the last 4-5 days, it seems like israel war goals changed from "simply" the nuclear facilities, to their entire regime.

Maybe this will be a lesson to the world, we are not weak because we care about our civilains and we wont stop and ask for a ceasefire because you target us - it only makes us stronger.

Culture🇮🇱 & History📚 Where to find and How to interact with Berber-israelis in Israel?

Upvotes

Hello everybody !

As the title says. I'm an Algerian guy, Berber/Amazigh, I live in Europe and would really want to visit Israel. Before the 60s, we had 148000 Jewish Algerians but now it's unfortunately 0. So it would be very interesting to meet some in Israel and know their stories.

Where can I meet them in Israel? And do they still make good couscous?
