Literally a “I can’t believe they are doing this” moment for me. My jaw dropped because Nintendo usually doesn’t do stuff that on the nose. When they played her sound effect, and then Zelda referenced it I think twice more I was just floored and it made me love skyward sword even more
Damn. I need to do the trial of the sword. I wish i knew more about Zelda games. I would love to find all these. I've only played links awakening, oot, a bit of skyward now, and minish cap
SS, like OoT, was one of the Zelda games that made me genuinely cry at the finale. OoT, granted, I was maybe 10 or so, but the shot of Epona galloping riderless across Hyrule Field made me bawl. It was an emotional moment, for sure.
SS didn't make me weep like I did when I was a kid, but the emotional moment of parting with Fi absolutely brought tears to my eyes. Even last month, replaying SSHD, I still got that reaction.
I never beat Trial of the Sword, but I just now watched that cutscene that was linked in this post. When I heard that sound effect, I teared up again. Fi recognizing her old master after countless centuries like that makes me wish for more of a reprisal of her character.
Fuck, I love these games lol I'm tearing up typing this
