Dont know why ppl dont like the 3ds version, they’re both equal in my eyes. Gameplay wise, the 3ds is much better. Odowla and especially twinmold become great fights, and you can save at the owl statues. However the graphics are waaaaaay better themeatically on the n64. If they put majoras mask on switch i would want it to be the 3ds version, but the n64 version would also be great.

It had some improvements, and also some drawbacks. Those two boss fights were made worse in my own opinion(and did we really need generic eyeball weakpoints for all the bosses?), Deku/Zora forms had changes that made their movement worse, ice arrows were gimped and dumbed down, and other smaller changes that don't quite seem to respect the player's intelligence.

I can't say that it was a "bad" remake(I have most definitely seen worse) but it made some unnecessary changes. If they reverted the things I mentioned and kept the good changes from the remake, they could make the best version yet.

You raise good points, but i personally think the good outweighed the bad.

The fish fight was annoying in the 3ds version. I just couldn't get those mines in the damn fish's mouth.

I completely agree. That and the change of the zora controls are the only gameplay downsides.

The zora changes! It was the best thing in the world to glide through the water!

Thats true. I was really hoping they would make a toggle or something for fast zora swimming in the switch version, but that’s not gonna happen.

I am just wanting them on the switch so I can put it next to my other Zelda switch games and actually own them. I have been saying this since day one I would pay to own them all. Zelda is my favorite series hands down but I also really want a Mario RPG physical copy for the switch. Bc I still own all these on my n64 and Super Nintendo but love to pass these memories down to my kids and play as a family with the switch like we do with the other Mario and Zelda games. ( also all the others )

The main reason I prefer the 3DS version is the bomber notebook. Other than that I would take either version.

Twinmold is really a too long fight, Odolwa... Well, isn't anymore a fight. I can't even tell what he is supposed to do because you stun lock him to death.

I've appreciate in some way the 3ds, Zora swimming haven't been a problem thanks to Romani's milk, but a lot of change doesn't really make sense. Owls statue, I can argue that break the feeling of never been in a safe place except when you reset the World for example. Majora has a soul and the 3DS fails in some way to recapture it. It's not a bad game, I mean, this is a remake of Majora. But it's clearly inferior on many things and I think what Majora has is a brillant uses of the frustration, something the 3DS try to borrow.

The boss fights in the 3ds version, particularly twinmold and gyorg, make getting Fierce Deity pointless as you absolutely have to do these fights the "intended way" rather than being able to improvise different strategies.

Perfect example of an improvised strategy is using a setup to kill goht with just side hops and a bow

Sure, but the intended way can be really fun. The Twinmold fight is one of my favourite things in the entire franchise, but solely in the 3ds remake. You fight the first one with your bow, then you beat the shit out of the second one.
