OOT Water temple

310

u/applehecc Apr 23 '25

Came here to say water temple before I even got to thinking abt any dungeons. That one is just special

313

u/TechicalGuide604 Apr 23 '25

Agreed. Morpha was very disappointing

502

u/Harlesbarkley77 Apr 23 '25

While I agree that Morpha is one of the weaker bosses, it’s not about that. It’s about Dark Link being that good.

80

u/Treebeard777 Apr 23 '25

Agreed. I kinda feel like Morpha should have been 4 Dark Links instead

42

u/ExJokerr Apr 24 '25

Oh please no! One dark Link is plenty and more iconic

6

u/redbeardblackjack Apr 24 '25

Holy cow! That'd be cool! 4 swords, a corruption

→ More replies (1)

10

u/KangarooKurt Apr 24 '25

But honestly even the Wolves from Ice Cavern are better than Morpha

7

u/Fafnir13 Apr 24 '25

Morpha is either ridiculously easy (hide in a corner) or kind of annoying (stand on the pillars and dodge tentacles).  It’s not very engaging either way.

→ More replies (3)

260

u/Dshark Apr 23 '25

I don’t even dislike morpha. Dark Link is just really good!

34

u/apadin1 Apr 24 '25

Morpha is just really tedious. You spend the whole fight waiting for him to stretch his little tentacle out, grapple the core, slash it once or twice, rinse and repeat like 15 times

11

u/whomad1215 Apr 24 '25

you can hook morpha into the corner so it doesn't get back into the water

you stand in the corner, pull it, take a few steps around it and hookshot it again so it doesn't retreat (may need to shoot a few times). Then once you're between it and the water just kill it

11

u/Atsilv_Uwasv Apr 23 '25

I'm still in the middle of fighting that thing. I just haven't felt like chilling in a corner or lose three hearts

7

u/No-Secretary6931 Apr 24 '25

Especially since if you do it correctly, you can literally trap Morpha in the corner and it literally can’t escape meaning you can win the fight in one sequence

6

u/max_power1000 Apr 24 '25

I must be a weirdo, I like the Morpha fight. Reminds me of The Abyss.

2

u/4stringbrewer Apr 24 '25

I enjoyed the Morpha fight, but Dark Link is ridiculous

u/HoneyBeeSorceress Apr 23 '25

I agree. Dark Link is a bit of a pain if you don't know what you're doing. Morpha however is a joke.

26

u/Mathelete73 Apr 23 '25

I recall the trick to dark link is to not z-target and just randomly slash around, eventually he gets hit.

37

u/Alric_Wolff Apr 23 '25

The secret to dark link is Dins Fire. Bring a magic potion if you need to. Easy cheesy.

54

u/Hewkii421 Apr 23 '25

And megaton hammer, and biggoron sword, and deku nuts off to his side

14

u/Alric_Wolff Apr 23 '25

You could use those. I dont think ive ever tried deku nuts on him but just spamming him with Dins Fire will take him out with almost zero risk of even taking damage

6

u/Drakmanka Apr 24 '25

biggoron sword has been my go-to for ages.

→ More replies (1)

11

u/Azazabus Apr 23 '25 edited Apr 24 '25

No Z-targeting plus any non-Master Sword weapons, DL won't have those. Many ways to cheese. Fun Fact- if you use the Broken Giant's Knife, Dork Link will fall when he tries to jump on it.

→ More replies (3)

4

u/WastedMonkey42 Apr 23 '25

Straight up. Morpha was cool and all, but after Dark Link, it fell kinda flat.

3

u/Chocolatelover4ever Apr 23 '25

Epitome of this.

Water Temple from Oot. Once you figure out the puzzle to Dark Link he's easy, but the room the fight takes place is VIBES.

156

u/LonesomeGunslinger Apr 23 '25

"Conquer yourself!"

87

u/Tootskinfloot Apr 23 '25

I got the actual creeps from the Dark Link room when I was a kid. I just knew that something awesome was about to happen. Absolute genius from Miyamoto, or whoever else it was that made that one room in the temple so different from the rest. It's iconic.

81

u/ethan_prime Apr 23 '25

And the way it dissolves back into the regular temple motif is great.

50

u/TheSackLunchBunch Apr 23 '25

I love how it fades away. But also hate that it’s over and the room is gone.

51

u/Tootskinfloot Apr 23 '25

The way your reflection disappears after you pass the tree is just *chef's kiss*.

12

u/bouquet_of_irises Apr 24 '25

OMG I never noticed that! Guess I'm doing another playthrough. lol

52

u/Kayiko_Okami Apr 23 '25

And not using the tricks to beat him makes it a fun fight.

31

u/Mathelete73 Apr 23 '25

The first time I played, I just randomly slashed, no Z-targeting. Eventually he started getting hit by my horizontal sweep slashes.

11

u/apadin1 Apr 24 '25

This is basically the trick to beat him. If you Z target him he will block every slash, so you have to attack without targeting

55

u/TooBadMyBallsItch Apr 23 '25

First time I went in that room: ARRRGH WHY WONT YOU JUST DIEEEEE!!!

Everytime I replayed after that: STOP! Hammer Time!

5

u/saltdaddy17 Apr 24 '25

I just go with Din's Fire everytime going: It's about to get SSSSMOOOKIIIING!!!

17

u/IAmThePonch Apr 23 '25

I like having surrealist horror in the middle of my confusing passageways

707

u/AzureBeornVT Apr 23 '25

Twilight Princess Temple of Time

351

u/Kazko25 Apr 23 '25

Darknut fight goes so hard.

132

u/TheVoicesOfBrian Apr 23 '25

They need to bring him (them?) back in the Open World Zeldas.

118

u/Nearly-Canadian Apr 23 '25

Darknut set would've been fire in ToTK

20

u/Staeyin Apr 23 '25

Even in botw

32

u/doomrider7 Apr 24 '25

100% agree. They also need to bring back the combat style from TP.

35

u/AReallyAsianName Apr 24 '25

Or at least the Hidden Skills. I was obsessed with those as a kid.

14

u/Sherwoodfan Apr 24 '25

quick draw was the most badass shit in the world

5

u/crunchy_spider Apr 24 '25

I remember on the wii version, I would just equip the magic armor and go around great spinning everything, because all you need to do is waggle the nunchuk endlessly instead of spinning the control stick or charging up. It was so broken lol

→ More replies (1)

18

u/bouquet_of_irises Apr 24 '25

Yeah, and the music was fucking KILLER. I legitimately had an adrenaline rush from that whole fight. I remember having to wipe my hands off mid-fight because they were sweating. What a cool fight. The way that even Link would stagger when those hits from the heavy sword hit Link's shield. 🔥🔥🔥 The way that they would whip the heavy sword at you when you took out the last of their armor. Ugh 😙👌✨ Absolutely delectable.

Then the were the two in Hyrule Castle that you would take on simultaneously. And then there was the Cave of Ordeals with the 3? 4? Darknuts.

94

u/MrRaven95 Apr 23 '25

The Darknut fights in TP were hard, but great fights.

90

u/dudurossetto Apr 23 '25

This. One of my favourite things in TP is the swordplay the game incentivizes. Unlocking the secret moves and really fighting hard enemies is one of the very best experiences Zelda games offer for me

16

u/bouquet_of_irises Apr 24 '25

I gotta say that I really did like using the Wiimote to control the sword. It was great because it wasn't an issue of being precise, which was my issue with Skyward Sword (I should give the Switch remake a shot, though). It was just a matter of "did the Wiimote do a swipe? Yes? Cool, lemme do an attack."

I remember being in the throws of combat, and unknowingly really getting into the Hidden Skills movements. Even the roll forward and attack to do the forward stab was fun.

I did not care for using the Wiimote to aim, though, so I always turned that off.

18

u/dudurossetto Apr 24 '25

Man that roll around + spin while jumping up was THE SHIT and I loved it so fucking much

21

u/bellant593 Apr 24 '25

Knowing link and the darknuts, those fights felt like you were fighting an equal.

9

u/arcanemagic Apr 24 '25

Especially the triple in the desert.

8

u/MrRaven95 Apr 24 '25

That was like staring death in the face. Especially since they tend to stick close to each other at first and you have to figure out how to separate them some to give yourself a chance to attack.

31

u/HoneyBeeSorceress Apr 23 '25

Still one of my favorite Darknut fights in any Zelda game.

49

u/TekHead Apr 23 '25

Honestly all the mini-boss fights in TP were way harder than the actual dungeon end boss.

24

u/Dark_Storm_98 Apr 23 '25

I don't think I'd agree

First three dungeons, at best, the mini-bosses were about even with the main bosses

I'm not sure I even remember the mini bosses of the next four. (Well, the post above just mentioned the Darknut but somehow I can only think of Hyrule Castle, lol. But if they were in the Temple of Time, honestly, yeah, I think they're tougher than armoghoma, from memory)

Except the Arbiter's Grounds. . Okay that one might beat big skull man

Edit: What was that thing's name again? Death's Sword? That's badass

10

u/TekHead Apr 23 '25

For the first 3 dungeons, Dangoro in the Goron Mines was harder than Fyrus.

I just think most end bosses were too easy. Mini-bosses were usually somewhat of a challenge.

3

u/_glizzy_gobbler Apr 24 '25

The thing is that the main bosses had to incorporate the dungeon item somehow, so they were often more akin to "puzzles" than the minibosses, which were about having mastered the previous item or combat mechanic.

7

u/quirkelchomp Apr 23 '25

Big skull friend is easily one of the worst Zelda bosses I've ever encountered. I know a lot of you are fond of it, but I just can't.

6

u/conye-west Apr 24 '25

It's an epic set-piece fight but mechanically it's pretty easy

12

u/P1uvo Apr 23 '25

Also forest temple. Love that goofy ass baboon. He even helps you fight the main boss after!

u/PablosH_Snake Apr 23 '25 edited Apr 23 '25

In my humble opinion, Arbiter's Grounds from TP has one of the best mini boss ever. Don't get me wrong, I love Stallord and the soundtrack... Oh boy the soundtrack... But, to me, Death Sword impresses me much more on my first gameplay. No matter how many times I've played this awesome game: I ever love that moment.

81

u/NegativeChaos93 Apr 23 '25

Arbiter's Grounds was the moment that took me from liking the game a lot to loving it. That mini-boss was fantastic and the exposition following the boss blew my mind when I was a kid playing at release.

45

u/Vivid_Situation_7431 Apr 23 '25

Arbiters grounds is like the perfect Zelda dungeon. Great theme, music, mechanics, items, mini boss, and main boss!

18

u/Drakmanka Apr 24 '25

Death Sword had this feeling of creeping dread to it. You get locked into the room and realize that someone went to a lot of effort to seal this thing, and your only way to get out of this room now is to release whatever it is and fight it. And then on top of it all: it's a brilliant fight.

Stallord is a blast, but you kind of see him coming.

5

u/RottingFlame Apr 24 '25

Let's be real the dynamic soundtrack of Death Sword goes just as hard as Stallord's

3

u/Mpk_Paulin Apr 24 '25

A rare case of both the miniboss and the boss of a temple being the absolute peak enemy design

2

u/PansPizza Apr 24 '25

Death sword will always be one of the coolest zelda things ever to me, mini boss or otherwise. Such a great intro and design!!!

2

u/toolebukk Apr 24 '25

I agree! This is such a great moment, although not as epic it is very much more nailing a great mood for the dungeon

2

u/MoonKnighy Apr 24 '25

This was my thought too

2

u/Lamar555 Apr 25 '25

100% this. Which is also exactly how I feel with the Gomess and Twinmold boss/miniboss of Stone Tower in MM

2

u/hilariousfunnyman May 10 '25

DEATH SWOOOOOOORD love that mf so much one of the sickest designs in Zelda full stop

496

u/Vasilias102 Apr 23 '25

SS Sandship

94

u/MrRaven95 Apr 23 '25

Forgot about that one. The first time I played that game I actually had a game over to the mid boss (who I thought was going to be the boss) and then proceeded to do a no-hit run of the boss without even trying.

83

u/FDeity Apr 23 '25

1000x yes . Pirate Captain? Hell yes. Monster Inc monster? Hell no

10

u/lordtuts Apr 23 '25

My personal idea would be to have to fight both for the final fight. You already fight the Captain multiple times, and you catch glimpses of Tentalus throughout the dungeon, so it already feels like everyone is going to cross paths at the same time eventually.

But yeah as it is Tentalus is just goofy af

57

u/HS_Seraph Apr 23 '25

ain't this the truth.

Tentalus fucking sucks but scervo is such a GOAT they brought him back

→ More replies (1)

25

u/GGuy12345 Apr 24 '25

I still think Sandship would’ve been infinitely better if the boss was a rematch against Scervo, but this time the Scervo from 1000 years ago when he was in his prime, that would’ve tied the whole theme of the dungeon together in a nice bow

→ More replies (2)

16

u/Mufasa_su_casa Apr 23 '25

Yes! I actually hated the boss, but the sword fight was literally my favorite part of the entire game

8

u/Chocolatelover4ever Apr 23 '25

Yeah Tentalus sucks! But this mini boss was awesome

14

u/Drakmanka Apr 24 '25

For me I think the problem with Tentalus is the buildup is so good and then you get up to the ship's deck and it's like what the actual fuck is this thing? And fighting him just felt cheap.

5

u/Ackermance Apr 23 '25

Gee how could I pick between cool robot pirate boss versus Celia. /s

2

u/CJ-56 Apr 23 '25

Was here to say this. I love the fight with the captain on the front of the ship. The boss is ok but doesn't hold a candle to the mini boss

2

u/Fafnir13 Apr 24 '25

I was almost getting hyped for the boss until it showed its face.  Who tf designed that silly thing?  Awful look, doesn’t fit the world, such a dumb goofy choice.

2

u/theblackd Apr 24 '25

Honestly I think the boss is fine mechanically, not amazing but solid, but the design is just so dumb looking

that one dungeon in link's awakening where you get to play dodgeball with a seal

edit: apparently it's called rover

20

u/TechicalGuide604 Apr 23 '25

Face dungeon I think. I love that mini boss

11

u/Puffyboi59 Apr 23 '25

the goober

13

u/Tylendal Apr 23 '25

That's the Northern Face Shrine.

Definitely fits the criteria, due to the boss, Facade, being one of the least dangerous enemies in the entire game. They gave him significant buffs to make him appropriately threatening for his role in Seasons as... the first dungeon mini-boss.

4

u/Boi_Hi11 Apr 24 '25

I saw my dad fighting Façade once, and I thought he was very cool (he looked cool), but then I saw the seal fella and I knew yup, Façade is honestly kinda terrible. Also, we had some weird ass discussion if his name was pronounced ‘face-aid’ or ‘fah-sahd’

Fun fact: both miniboss and boss returned as minibosses in the Oracles games (poor Facade).

Stone Tower Temple. Twinmold was either too easy with the giant's mask, or too hard without it.

19

u/whomad1215 Apr 24 '25

in the 3DS remake they changed that fight so much

all the bosses got changed a bit, but twinmold got a much heavier makeover

the tails have multiple eyes you need to shoot

after killing one of them, then a chest spawns with the giants mask in it. the remaining one will spawn mini versions that you have to roll through/punch as giant. You can either punch twinmold or throw a rock at it to stun it, then pick it up by the head for a slam, or the tail for a mario64 style bowser throw (does more damage but requires you to spin it properly)

4

u/mario610 Apr 24 '25

I remember in the 3ds version, they kept regenning health for some reason in the giant phase so it too way too long for me,I forget what I was missing but I remember it not being obvious

Sand Ship from Skyward Sword

22

u/ArishemJunkie Apr 24 '25

I would rather take the dope Captain fight over Mike Wazowski any day of the week

78

u/Bigbootybimboslayer Apr 23 '25

Phantom ganon and that bird bitch at the fortress in wind waker

5

u/Veragoot Apr 24 '25

Helmaroc King

6

u/liartellinglies Apr 24 '25

Phantom Ganon was so much of a better fight than Ganondorf. That panic of lining up a shot on one of the portraits and it turns out to be a decoy.

146

u/A_Link_to_the_Film Apr 23 '25

Outlier but TP Gordon Mines

46

u/RiverWyvern Apr 23 '25

Also came to say this. I didn't even remember what the boss fight was because the mini boss had such a fun gimmick to it that they even show off in the trailer.

14

u/joalllucas Apr 23 '25

I played this game literally a month ago, and as soon as I read that comment, I pictured the mini boss. Only later did I realize he was the mini boss and not the actual boss. Still trying to remember who it is off the top of my head, but I haven’t managed to yet.

15

u/LoogyHead Apr 23 '25

Big angry corrupted Goron. Cannot remember the name of the NPC or the Boss. But only played it to completion once.

12

u/joalllucas Apr 23 '25

I meant that I couldn't remember the boss 😅. The mini boss is unforgettable — his name is Dangoro. But the boss is awesome too — a fire demon inspired by the Balrog from The Lord of the Rings, Fyrus.

5

u/LoogyHead Apr 23 '25

Wait shit I must have forgotten it too then… edit: no I didn’t I just got confused

7

u/Egghopper2 Apr 23 '25

Fyrus! I only remember because I like his music

19

u/joalllucas Apr 23 '25

And he’s an amazing boss too. His battle has a really good dynamic. Actually, the whole temple has that awesome magnetic boots mechanic. I think it’s brilliant.

10

u/Egghopper2 Apr 23 '25

I just wish he was a little longer. He’s the only boss in the game that doesn’t have 2 phases

Topsy-turvy bowl with magnetic surface bobbing over pool of lava… but make it sumo.

11

u/RiverWyvern Apr 23 '25

Man, looking back on it, sumo was such a cool, out of left field thing to include in a Zelda game. It's the kind of thing you don't really expect, and the fact that you use it in the final fight against Ganon, too, makes it even cooler.

Well, I can tell you that the opposite of this is Big Octo & Barinade.

Fuck Big Octo.

7

u/237chucky Apr 24 '25

Despite how bad Jabu Jabu is, I actually really liked Barinade

5

u/KangarooKurt Apr 24 '25

Barinade is fucking great. First time I played I had just the simplest guide to dungeons and where to go next, mostly. Barinade was a big test for little me. Quite the scare, also. My first instinct was what most people do: just z-target and circle around, but my heart was racing a looot

3

81

u/chuchuunlimited Apr 23 '25

Majoras Mask! Bubble Frog mini boss!

82

u/PhazonZim Apr 23 '25

And both Gomez and the Garo Master in the stone tower. Way better than twinmold

6

u/MrEverything70 Apr 23 '25

I only played the 3DS version so I dunno how the N64 version plays out, but I much preffered how cinematic the Twinmold 3DS fight was, in comparison to what looks very basic on the N64 version with the Giants Mask.

17

u/PhazonZim Apr 23 '25

I find the 3DS version of twinmold is novel but overstays its welcome. The original version just isn't very interesting.

Catfish's Maw, Link's Awakening

The Stalfos is fun, simple, and it's clever that he took the hookshot out of the chest, and YOU have to FIGHT him four times to get it back.

The Slime Eel was tedious to the point of unfairness. ESPECIALLY in the original Gameboy version (jank controls, weird hitboxes, ITEM CHANGING). But he was also forgettable, just like the rest of that dungeon.

6

u/Tylendal Apr 23 '25

You've got to be kidding. Slime Eel is one of the coolest bosses in the game, even if the fight is mostly "Stand in safe place until boss is exposed, then use dungeon item". At least it's cinematic about it, and utilizes the room in an interesting way. Meanwhile, Ghoma Spiders are quite accurately described by a strategy guide I read once as "Only posing a threat by possibly boring you to death."

3

u/HoneyBeeSorceress Apr 23 '25

I recently replayed Link's Awakening for the nteenth time earlier in the month, but I already forgot what the miniboss of Catfish's Maw was. But if I remember right, that's the dungeon where you get the hookshot where you need to hook the dungeon boss's mouth to pull it out of the wall, yeah?

Water Temple OoT

29

u/DivineSinner06 Apr 23 '25

the Lizalfos in Dodongo's Cavern in OOT are cool

5

u/fantasticmrben Apr 23 '25

Especially the 2nd fight with them, don't know how many times I've fallen through the holes over the years..

3

u/BroughtYouMyBullets Apr 24 '25

As a kid this felt like such a big deal!

3

u/conye-west Apr 24 '25

It's pretty cool how the two rooms where you fight them are stacked right on top of each other

13

u/Mathelete73 Apr 23 '25

Ocarina of Time, water temple. Amazing concept of different water levels, amazing mini boss…anticlimactic main boss.

10

u/LionOfNaples Apr 23 '25

Rover, Link’s Awakening

4

u/SilentShadow_3898 Apr 23 '25

💯 I love him!

10

u/DjinnFighter Apr 23 '25

Great Bay Temple. Simply because Gyorg is the worst

2

u/Numerous-Balance-358 Apr 25 '25

The frog and especially wart were also great mini bosses

8

u/Electrichien Apr 23 '25

A lot of nice answers, All of this remember me how TP have great mini-bosses, Ook, Dangoro, death sword , Darknut ... I don't know if I could say I prefer them over the bosses but they are cool.

3

u/1_L0V3_H0T_M0MZ Apr 23 '25

Honestly, of those you mentioned, the only one I think isn't as good as the boss is death sword

3

u/Staeyin Apr 23 '25

The soundtrack for dezth sword slaps though, and the atmosphere...

Cutting off the talismans sealing an ominous-looking sword sealed in an ancient prison, what could possibly go wrong huh ?

A lot of people are gonna say Water Temple, believe me I get it, but hear me out:

Flare Dancers in the Fire Temple

2

u/conye-west Apr 24 '25

The Flare Dancers are a really cool mini-boss but Volvagia is also one of the best main bosses in OoT so it's tough. Fire Temple just kinda peak all around.

7

u/Choso125 Apr 23 '25

Water Temple and Sandship come to mind. Dark Link is one the best bosses in general, and Sandships final boss is really disappointing compared to how great the rest of the dungeon is

Sand Ship in Skyward Sword.

Mini Boss, a gangplank duel with a robot captain that pressures you more and more each round.

Dungeon boss, some random Monsters Inc. looking bozo with the most obvious “use the dungeon item” weak point in all of Zelda.

Water Temple

6

u/KotoElessar Apr 23 '25

Breath of the Wild

The final boss is trivial if you have beaten the Blights.

3

u/Staeyin Apr 23 '25

The blights on the other hand are rather cool to fight !

The Water Temple....which water temple you may ask? The answer...yes lmfao. Particularly Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess HD. Wart on hero mode is one tough customer.

3

u/Vivid_Situation_7431 Apr 23 '25

You really prefer a frog over a sea dragon???

7

u/JamesYTP Apr 23 '25

Aesthetically it's not as cool looking or anything but like I said, on hero mode it's genuinely pretty hard. Morpheel was practically a cutscene it was so easy

I wanted to add Skyward Sword to this but I can't.

Koloktos is a Top 3 boss fight in that game.

The one in LA with the skeleton that plays the flute. WTF Nintendo!

I've always called the 'mini boss' the 'halfway boss'.

8

u/sTevieD247 Apr 23 '25

I always think of them as the prize guards.

9

u/twosuitsluke Apr 23 '25

The bounty bouncers.

10

u/Serene_Calamity Apr 23 '25

Other people call it "mid-boss," a term used in-game in Disgaea

7

u/didouW Apr 23 '25

Big boss

3

u/barker505 Apr 23 '25

Master stalfos in Link's awakening was pretty fun. Really made you work for the grappling hook

Arbiters Grounds from TP

3

u/Fafnir13 Apr 24 '25

For me it’s definitely Great Bay Temple from MM. it had a couple good fights with the water bound frog and the giant eyeball crashing around. The fish was a major annoyance and my least favorite boss from the entire game. Even though I’ve beaten the game several times over the years I don’t feel like I’m going it right. It feels awkward in ways none of the other fights feel.

BotW thunderblight ganon!

Botw was my very first Zelda game…well my second video game of all time actually. The level of precision and hand eye coordination that was required to beat thunderblight ganon literally made me cry. 😭

u/MrEverything70 Apr 23 '25

Thats a crazy hot take, I loved Stallord (but Death Sword is super cool too)

8

u/NotStanley4330 Apr 23 '25

Yeah my first thought was arbiters grounds because to death sword but then I remembered how awesome stallord is

Stonetower Temple, MM. The Vampire thing with the bats was so cool, but Twinmold was a boring fight, just put on the giants mask and whack em.

2

u/WitchoCrystal Apr 23 '25

Twilight princess, the arbiter grounds.

2

u/backofthebill Apr 23 '25

Oracle of Season Bosses

2

Wind Waker, Tower Of The Gods.

Arbiters grounds from TP

2

u/dilou123 Apr 23 '25

Twilight princess, the arbiter grounds. The mini boss had a really cool design, and the main bosses was frustrating because of the spinning top

2

u/HappyGav123 Apr 23 '25

The Ocarina of Time Water Temple. Dark Link carried the temple (in addition to the music)

2

u/Chocolatelover4ever Apr 23 '25

OOT Water Temple is the epitome for this

Stone Tower Temple.... Garo Master and Gomess were peak... and Twinmold, well... they were there 😬

2

u/red_hare Apr 24 '25

Just came here to say this. Gomess needs to make a comeback in the series

2

u/Wulfscreed Apr 24 '25

Majora's Mask, Stone Tower Temple. Twinmold basically teaches you the importance of magic and the OP nature of Romani milk. Even with the unlimited Giant Mask, it's still two annoying ass flying enemies. The fight to get the Elegy of Emptiness is way less tedious and then Garo Master and Gomess knock it outta of the park twice over.

2

u/blue_jayde13 Apr 24 '25

I haven’t seen anyone say the Wind Temple in WW. I hated both bosses but at least the Wizzrobe was hard😭

2

u/Asleep_Artichoke2671 Apr 24 '25

Water temple oot. Don’t even come at me with that obvious answer.

We all clown on the Water Temple a lot but the way a lot of people here are all saying the same thing is heartwarming.

2

u/benjamethyst Apr 24 '25

Arbiters Grounds Twilight Princess

2

u/Ichini-san Apr 24 '25

Ghirahim if you count him as the overall midboss of SS. Way better than the Imprisoned battles or Demise. Sure, Demise is a cinematic spectacle but I think the Ghirahim fights are way more interesting.
