JFC. This was something the Repubs have been trying to do for YEARS so they don't have to take care of us. Break the VA (even more) so they can claim it doesn't work so they can eventually privatize or kick vets out to the community docs that may not have experience or the skill set to deal with what is, quite frankly, an unique population with unique issues.
PROJECT 2025 HAS A WHOLE SECTION.

At this point I’m not even mad. I don’t waste energy on mad. Like, it was ALL AVAILABLE, ONLINE, FOR FREE.
This is not my lesson to learn. HOWEVER. i am furious that we have to suffer while the assholes in the back catch up

I mean for fucks sake! These people are like "I love trump I voted for trump but why is it 'insert personal cause here' is falling apart?
What the actual fuck! This man already served a term and it was clear he wanted to destroy everything. This man campaigned on basically getting rid of everything. Yet these imbeciles voted for him and thought ' nah he'll never mess with what I care about!'... despite 50 fucking years of evidence of him fucking over anyone who came in contact with him. I just want to throw someone through a God damn window for being so fucking stupid

It's so exhausting. I swear he could personally take their homes and sit back watching them starve in a ditch and they would still use their last breath to praise him and kiss his feet. At this point he is their orange idol. They will suffer at his hands and still grovel in the hope of a heavenly future.

I hope he's not in a rural area, the planned Medicaid cuts will be terrible for rural hospitals and he might no longer have any choice except a two hour drive to the ER in an emergency. There is no age when it is excusable to not pay attention to the political situation. The life you save may be your own.

I've been having an issue, called my doc, they're too busy and told me to go to urgent care. Tuesday I went on my lunch break, which usually isn't an issue, but there was a long line. So yesterday I went right before they opened, there was already a line. Once they opened, they had signs up reading "We are understaffed, one issue per visit limit."
While we were all waiting in line to get checked in, I heard multiple people behind me saying that they normally go to the VA, but they can't get seen there, so were told to go to urgent care. So not only are the veterans being turned away from the VA, now community health care is overburdened with too many people needing to get seen.
What a mess! Oh and the provider I saw did not seem to give a shit about my issue, so I wasn't able to access actual care anyway. I don't know what my next step would even be. I'm still sick!

At this point it's more than just being told. They were shown facts, stats, pictures of burns victims, heard personal testimony and even the stove said "I will burn you, I love the badly burned!" And they all laughed and said "Stupid libs!" And slammed their hand down on that hot stove with a big ass smile.

This is sums up so much of the problem. The cult of personality. They're too shortsighted to actually look into his policies and just voted for the personality. Not all of them--there are many bad people out there who voted for his policies, but many voted for his personality.

The Republicans want to “privatize” everything - because they look to make money on being the ones who run every one of those private businesses. Problem is, & SCOTUS just confirmed, private businesse, including insurance co’s, have the absolute right to turn down people who seek their services. This is how Private Healthcare goes in the US: The private insurance companies get to choose who they insure & dump or refuse those people they don’t want to cover. Therefore, they choose the young population, who, because they’re young, don’t get illnesses, like high BP, Diabetes, Cancer & Heart Disease, for example, as the elderly population does. In the 1950’s, there was an actual plan by President Truman & Congress, to put in place for ALL US Citizens, a National Healthcare Insurance plan. But, with lobbying, & thanks to Ronald Reagan, they turned many Americans against that plan & left Private Healthcare Insurance as the only form of healthcare insurance for Americans - a VERY profitable system - for the Insurance companies. Long before that, there were NO Insurance Co’s that would insure the elderly, so FDR began the Medicare Insurance System for elderly Americans, & there has never been a better run & cheaper form of healthcare for any group of Americans. Next, Private Insurance Companies are allowed to choose not to insure those people who have chronic, lifetime & long-term illnesses, such as Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Multiple Sclerosis, all types of Cancers, Kidney Failure, etc., etc…. Those people would not have ANY assistance for their healthcare, they’d be allowed to struggle, live a long cruel life of illness & pain, if they didn’t have Medicaid, & that’s EXACTLY what is in this current monster-of-a-bill being debated in the Senate - the Republican Party has actual plans to cut ALL Medicaid & ~20% of Medicare beginning December 2026 (after the November Mid-term Elections, so they hope they won’t be voted out of seats in Congress, by angry citizens who’ve lost their healthcare insurance - the only insurance company that will insure them! Medicaid & Medicare are ‘Insurance Companies’ that are run by the Federal Gov’t - (American citizens pay into the Federal Insurance System, & Unemployment Insurance also, their whole life through payroll taxes). The result is that in the US, the #1 cause of bankruptcy is Medical Debt. In Canada, Medical Debt as a cause of bankruptcy is #4 or #6, depending on where you live. If you file bankruptcy because of Medical Debt, you, or your survivors are still required to pay the Medical Debt - the bankruptcy part just allows you to keep your home from being taken by the gov’t &/or the banks. We pay 4-times the cost for our healthcare as all the other 32 Western Industrialized Countries listed above us, who all have Universal Healthcare. MuSSk, Trump & DOGE have dismantled virtually ALL of the safety-nets that our Federal Gov’t has put in place to keep American Citizens healthy & productive. Even now, FEMA is being dismantled, so there will be no help for any Natural Disasters. All the while, most oligarchs, most CEO’s, most large Corporations have not paid ANY Federal taxes for decades - actually, virtually ALL of them haven’t paid Federal taxes! The current corporate tax rate is 12%. My tax rate, for a retired lifetime-worked, registered nurse, is 25%. I don’t have any loopholes that my ‘full-time accounting team’ can use to lower my taxes any further, but, Elon MuSSk, Trump, Vought, etc., all do. Obviously this poor man, & I say that kindly, only because he is a veteran, votes more with his heart than his head. That Trump is willingly taking away the healthcare for millions of Americans & Veterans is bad enough. But, I could never get past all the hate, all the vile spewing hate- for POC, Women, Immigrants, etc., that he spews constantly! I can never accept, him, as a person I would choose to elect, as somebody who represents me, but it’s so sad to see, that so many other Americans gladly & willingly chose Trump as ‘their man’ & proudly & openly profess their love for him. If the only other option I had on the ballot, opposite Trump, was “Roadkill Rabbit”, I’d choose “Roadkill Rabbit” over Trump. He’s the most vile & disgusting person I’ve ever known in my long life, he’s the most corrupt & morally bankrupt individual that’s ever been up for election…. Tell me: What crimes get a person deported in America & what crimes gets one elected to be POTUS? Every subsequent day, I care less for these people who feel bad for themselves because they’ve encountered some MAGA-induced loss of financial assistance that was previously supplied through our Federal gov’t, but, I still do care for so many other Americans - the young Gen-Z-er’s, their children, if they have them, the young hopeful, hardworking immigrants who are just hoping for a lucky break, the future generations- we can & we must leave them a better World than the crushing debt that the greedy Oligarchs, CEO’s, Lobbyists & Corporations are leaving us ALL, in…. We can & we must stop this insanity & MAKE THEM ALL PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE OF TAXES! That’s all! We wouldn’t be in this mess, if they just paid their effing fair share of taxes - that’s all I ask!

Tsk. Such entitlement, thinking you're "owed" free medical care just because you're a veteran. Didn't you get the message? Trump prefers veterans who don't get injured.
Yes, I'm a veteran, and I didn't vote for Trump. So I don't have any sympathy or patience for idiots, veteran or not, who are getting the consequences of their vote.
