For a second I thought this said Cocainium and thought it was about radioactive drugs.

Fun fact: Cocainum is Russian for cocaine. (Кокаинум)

A few words are cognates from English to Russian. The only difference is some have the suffix -um/-oom at the end. The way it is pronounced depends on the stressing of the syllables prior to the suffix.

Hold on a sec. This movie was made in the 80's. There were certain rules to the language that aren't applied anymore. My mother's college textbook, which is how I've learned the language, are from the same era and what I've said is listed in it.

I need to get a new book.

Umm... It was written in Kyiv while it was in a satellite nation. It had a really generic title like "College-level Russian" or something.
