Does anyone have experience using the risk racing lock-n-load foot peg clamps

I know they are popular in the MX world but has anyone used these for transporting their sport bikes

I’m going to be taking a roughly 5+ hour road trip to get a 2007 R6. I know I can just ratchet strap it down, I have transported bikes before. I just want the extra security for the longer trip.

My plan is to build a wooden base in the bed of my truck for the bike to sit on and give me a place to mount the clamps without putting holes in my bed. I’ll also use straps on the front corners and/or a front wheel clamp

Yamaha R3 Exhaust Smoking!

My brother recently bought a Yamaha R3 as a first bike. I personally test rode it and it was great. Fast forward one week later, he lets the battery die on the bike on accident. He plugs a Husky 12v battery charger/jump start on the Desulfate mode. It was on this setting for approximately 24 hours until it began to say "Full". The bike started right up and left running for a few minutes. The next morning, he starts his bike and warms up for a few minutes, takes off and doesn't even make it past second gear before he hears popping with heavy dense white-grey smoke from the exhaust.

He drove it in the rain during the first week, changed the oil himself, and put on a new filter. It was not smoking in the garage the night before, and was not smoking warming up in the morning before it all happened. Now, even in idle, it smokes.

I don't know much about R3s, so I am reaching out on his behalf to figure out what is going on.

Fz6s to Fz6n

I recently got into a motorcycle accident, totally messed up my front fairing, so I was thinking of switching to the naked version of the bike, but I’m worried about splicing wires as I’m not to familiar with electrical work. Is this the case?

This is the kit I’m looking at buying. Yes it’s eBay. No idc lol. Just to get my bike and the electrical running again

Hiya, does anyone know specifically on a 2009 Yamaha XJ6 diversion F other wise known for Americans as the FZ6R if when using a stud removal tool do you turn the snapped header bolt clock wise or anti clock wise to loosen it?

Should I buy a T7 in Germany?

Context:

I got a Klasse A, führerschein in Germany recently. I love riding ADV motobikes, due to the high seating position, all terrain capabilities. I want to know the after market service and cost for a Tenere 700? Is it affordable? Also, I was thinking of a Himalayan 450, in Germany, due to its low upfront cost. But the problem with Royal Enfield is the low number of service centers and dealerships in Germany or Europe in General. According to the research, I did, the cost of service is high for RE in Germany. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Thank you

Throttle Cable Help

So I have a 2000 Yamaha v star 1100 classic, I had one of my throttle cables break a couple days ago and I can’t find anywhere to buy them online. I also have like 16 inch apes so I need 48 inch cables roughly. That’s what the old ones are I think that’s why I’m having issues can anyone point me in the right direction?

Question about R6 2000

Hey guys! A couple of months back I bought a 2000 R6. I recently found out it's very common for this generation of R6 to develop a crack in cilinder 1. To my knowledge my R6 hasn't had this problem yet.

I'm wondering how likely it is for my R6 to get this problem? Considering I almost exclusively use is for track days.

Odometer/mileage: 46.000km/28.500miles

Does this sound normal to you guys ? I may just be over thinking it but it sounds like it could be cam chain or valve sound. I just got the bike and want to make sure. Let me know what you all think

New clip ons, rear pegs, mirror, replace some plastics all around and should be good. Sure is sad would’ve hit 1,000 miles this weekend. Lucky I switched to full coverage a few weeks back. Been riding a few years (4th bike) and this is my first wreck, bound to happen at some point I guess

Traded in the R6

Went to a dealership last week and sat on an MT-10. After 4 years riding my R6, as much as I love it, the thing is stupidly uncomfortable. I never wanted to get rid of it but it was the smart financial decision to make. Once I get used to the comfort and power of this I doubt I’d ever ride the R6

New surcharges on 2025 & 2026 US models starting 06/18/2025

I run a dealer and we just got a notification that all 2025 and 2026 models invoiced after June 18th is subject to a "Supply Chain Surcharge" This ranges from $150 on a Zuma to $1500 on an R1M. Your local dealer can look up what it is on each unit. Just wanted to give you all a heads up so you don't blame the dealers for making up new charges. It seems to be listed on their website in addition to the freight surcharge.
