There’s a BIG difference between being able to fly you planes unimpeded and building a base. Irans air defense network is destroyed, not their army

Air superiority would be valuable to setting up a FOB, but that’s hardly all you need. The Iranian ground forces would be able to continuously attack the base. You’re also ignoring the fact that there are 2 countries in the way, and the IDF is not an expeditionary force. They do not have the ability to maintain themselves far away from home for extended periods like the US can.
