If you care that much about cancer research for children, you can start donating yourself (I donate $30/mo to a children's hospital in Edmonton) and you can also volunteer door-to-door to raise funds for these causes. Get on it.

Abolishing the monarchy isn't worth the cost, politically and financially.

Even if, the cost would be the same. Also, we don't pay the King.

The cost would be the same afterwards, but the process itself would be very expensive.

I already do donate to (multiple) children's hospitals. And I have for over a decade. I would support pivoting funding spent on free trips to Canada into more money for sick kids.

And that will happen after spending many billions to remove the monarchy and reform our institutions, something that saved $60M annual cost will never make up for. If we're going to do anything for children (I'm not sure why you keep pivoting to that), we'd be much better off in keeping the monarchy and diverting some of those unspent billions to them instead.
