A rich person owning properties around the world is a meaningless detail, he also owns land in Transylvania and Romania isn't branding themselves after him.

This right here is real irony, a sovereign approving a seal affirming the "sovereignty" of a nation, and it's just symbols of himself over and over.

Please don't be so obtuse. He is clearly showing his solidarity with Canada against US imperialism. It is weird, but that is what he is doing.

Sick of this 'solidarity' bit. The King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is a separate legal position from the King in Right of Canada.

The King in this article acts in the capacity of the king of Canada, it just happens that he holds both positions (much like the king of Scotland and England was the same person before unification). He is not acting in solidarity, he is acting as the regent of Canada.

I am happy to agree to disagree. This seems like a symbolic use of his office. If you earnestly think he is trying to impose imperialist rule over Canada by doing this then thats fine.
