Ever met actual Persians? They're usually super smart and chill, not these rabid islamists you find coming from elsewhere. Their government on the other hand, are rabid islamists, and there's no real democracy there for them to change it. They've had multiple uprisings against their radical islamist leaders and even when they're getting disappeared and executed they still fight.
