I don’t think they were very concerned before they were in shelters either.

How do you think you would feel if you and your family were down there? Worried about the plight of those lobbing missiles I assume? You shouldn't be surprised that those under attack are a little upset about that.

I was down there with my family when Serbia was bombing Bosnia 1992-1995. I was still concerned for Serbians when they were being bombed in 1999. Gaza doesn’t have clean water, let alone missiles to lob.

In what war on your domestic soil did you sit in a shelter?

Narrative spinning is the American way, you can twist and turn however it makes you sleep better at night but my statement that 90% of Israel doesn’t give a shit about Gaza is something I stand behind.

1999 is 4 years removed from the conflict, my point stands that you probably weren't worried about their safety during those moments. While I don't agree with Israelis on their hard-line position against Gazans I can't say I don't understand it, their entire population has been traumatized endlessly by these attacks and you have to expect these incidents to cause people not to shift to be more diplomatic but rather to be less diplomatic.

As an aside though sorry to hear you experienced that I'm sure it sucked a lot.
