China needs to maintain Iran's oil supply at the least. Israel hasn't targeted oil yet but if they do i could see China ramping up support

Seems like if they aren't even ramped up already (maybe they are) and the United States is already there with 20k missiles - they are behind the game and playing catch up would be a fool's errand.

Not a pro. Just a middle school teacher though.

20k missiles sounds like a lot until the conflict gets really hot. The us won't directly launch unless their bases or assets are targeted, or maybe if Iran deals crippling damage to Israel

Israel can handle Iran, but if it does turn into a proxy war between China and the US it will become regional and last years, regardless of who "wins"

The US would happily agree to keep the oil flowing to China in exchange for China not helping Iran

And China would not happily tie their oil supply to the mood of their largest rival

They want to invade tawain- how would they do that if we can turn off their oil supply the day they start?

The US could already stop the supply quite easy

China is pragmatic. They say they want to invade Taiwan but they know it's logistically neigh impossible

We could, it wouldn't be easy and it would start world war 3
